He was very inconsistant. He was arrogant. He probably still is. But I don't care cos we've gopt DW now.

OK - Last season we (or most people like me) were complaining that mighty shez kept playing Taylor on the wrong side'. Now, since the end of last season there has been no such comments. Are we to eat our words? Is he still on the wrong side?.... or was it actually a master plan to train Taylor to be able to play on either side? Oh, and the fact that he's equalled his scoring talley from last season, already won the fans player of the month and is still with us after some offers all seems to be good signs.

I don't know where I'm going with this post....

Basically I just want to know if people still think Taylor is being played on the wrong side.

My Dad and uncles were all Chadderton lads - grown up on watching Oldham. I loved them since I can remember and managed to watch my first match when I was about 5 standing on a stool, then sitting huddled behind the advertisements with other likely lads.

My brother wouldn't like to admit it but he started off being a UTD fan (sorry Pete) and thankfully I never followed suit. My Dad wouldn't have been happy at all about that.

I had a season ticket until 2006 when I decided to emmigrate.

There should be a poll (if there isn't already) as to why people STOPPED going to oldham. Mine is emmigration and I think you would find lots of other fans have moved away. Although we love Oldham football it should be upto the town/council to bring more fans into the game.... but we all know that won't happen.

Anyway - my other reason for falling crowds is the closeness of more "successful" (OK those with stupid money to throw about and huge debts) teams and the glory hunters/ couch supporters that go with them.

Hmmm, news to me this one! One of my work colleagues is good friends with his partner. I will be seeing her this week and will try to get some more info..

isn't she an ex-work colleague now you've got your own business? Or have you started hiring other people already? ;)

As long as both parties know each others skype contact (the name you set up for yourself) then all you do is add them as a buddy.

You can see when they are online or not. If they are,... then double click on them and the phone (computer) will ring their end.

Having a microphone is important (although u can type to each other but MSN is better for that) and if you both have webcams then they should set up automatically.

I've had a few days when the traffic has been busy and so caused the audio/visual to be pretty crappy but for a free service I can't complain. Been using it for a year now.

For those that stay after the credits - you see the main 2 from a previous filming on the camera. They are on a ferris wheel and, with a few seconds left of film, she says "it was a great day". Irony. Supposedly you also see something fall into the ocean when the camera pans, but I couldn't. Then the camera goes blank....... and you hear "what now?"... but it's not the voice of anyone known.

Questions, questions, questions.... That's the way it should be.

For me would go straight back in at Centre back.... all this cack about paying him off, people are starting to forget about what this man can do! How fickle some fans can be.... You can hardly blame him to the start of the season we had! The squad is missing big influential players... we need him back!!

I can blame him for the start of the season - how many stupid penalties did he give away? or free kicks for stickin his backside into players. He played a few good games waaaay back (in my opinion) and hasn't done much good since. I'm happy with the back four we have now... I wouldn't let him back. As for being influential... if Shez wanted people to be influential on the pitch then that brings another question as to why Eardley was made captain.....

Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Kim Bay Singer..... I don't care anymore... Just give me the answer.

Leave the Japanese out of this. It's great living with old traditions but futuristic gadgets. On new years I rang the gong, carried a shrine, drank nihonshu then went back to watch kick boxing on a 62" plasma TV.

Life here is good.

I produce the hour long football show & try to cover Latics most weeks as Inspiral said - whether it be a reserve match, player interview, Latique feature, protest march etc.

 

Channel M news is a very different beast located in a different building. They will have picked up on the story because of the residents issues. The reporter had very little 'sport' knowledge. It is annoying as they failed to cover the protest march when the initial bid was turned down.

 

However, a few episodes ago our football show gave about 4 minutes of coverage to the march and fell heavily on the side of the club.

 

Please don't let the Ch M news angle put you off watching our soccer show. Especially if you enjoy watching the likes of Mossley, Curzon Ashton & Woodley Sports!

That was a very polite response considering some of the comments posted. I admire your honesty and 'dedication' to your company. I know some quite important people in Channel M (and their daughters - one who works there too). Good job. Now, more Oldham please ;)

I think a letter to the chief of police thaning them for allowing the protest to go ahead would be a good idea..... SHe didn't want it at first but then after a few do's and don'ts said it can go ahead. They did a good job of closing the roads for the fans etc.

Maybe they also realised that Oldham can march peacefully.

Good luck to everyone marching on Saturday. I hope we can get as many people as possible. Three to five hundred would be amazing.

A show of strength like this is just what we need to show the councillors that they have made a massive mistake. Let's face it, their main concern is losing voters and so they need to be shown that there are lot more voters to be lost amongst Latics fans than amongst the residents group.

I'm an English teacher in Yamanashi, Japan.

One of my lessons next week is going to be about where I'm from in Oldham. How am I going to be positive now? The children will prbably end up crying for Oldham by the time I've finished. They all know about Oldham Athletic and some have even done homework about the team and how they wish to someday visit the club..... How will they take it when I tell them that there may be no club in a few years?!

I might call in sick next week.

I have a good feeling about this weekend.... something that I havn't felt since last season. I think we are going to bag plenty and the team will have huge grins on their faces by the end of the match. This will be our turning point. I expect to leak 1 goal but it will be consolation after an 'about time' team performance - plus I recon Greegan may get one from a corner, which will do him good. Taylor will get a chance on the right and show that that's where he belongs. Our goaly will make some excellent saves. Our set pieces will be premier league class and it's all going to be a fantastic day.

This is where we start!

I had a dream that this happened a couple of weeks ago....

The following is all non-factual but for entertainment purposes only.

It started with Morinho handing in his resignation only to be later 'convicted' of embezzaling money in a lower league club - This turned out to be that spin off manure team. UTD FC or something.

Then it became apparant that Murinho had to pay back all the money used in this club and it meant lots of players' contracts were ripped up as they were illegal documents. Oldham got into the mix as some youngsters lost their contracts with Chelsea and we lost a load of money. The whole lower football league went into administration and only the premier league existed...

as I said, this was all a dream. but who knows..............
