If he (shez) & the board want it bad enough why the hell have we no striker?
After the game today we will all be back on saying we need a striker davies doesnt hold the ball up enough and it comes back to defense too quickly.
We havent the players to get to the playoffs FACT!
-
So you ARE certain about the exact placings of all the others? I admire a man willing to back himself but there's a limit!
My life moto is that of a small faces song.
"Its All or nothing"
9/10 its Feck all lmao.
-
I thought it was nice touch seeing the owners in amongst things although Simon Corney nearly lost his shoe in the muddy sideline before kick off and recovered well from a certain klinsman dive in the mud, which was funny.
-
1 Swansea City
2 Doncaster
3 Walsall
4 Nottingham F
5 Carlisle United
6 Southend United
Latics finishing 10th.
And a 1-1 Draw Away at vale lol
Luton
Cheltenham
Port Vale
Bournemouth
Above for relegation but not sure on the order of Luton & Cheltenham.

This could end up being a drum or no drum debate again but one thing I will say is, when the drum beats the ones like me who wont sing Sheridan's blue and white army are left silent for long periods of time because that's the only thing he plays at length.
Notice last night people joined in more to OWTB or the other songs of No nay never, or the more lengthy songs? ( and not just because they dont like sheridan.)
The drum kills the songs but accompanies the lesser chants.
We sung more without the drum but chanted more with it.
I stood in a group of around 7 or 8 last night near the separation fence to the Bristol Fans on the middle row of the paddock, and the drummer was on the other end nearest to victor meldrew's house.
We all mentioned (Sheridan fans included) on how the drum causes a clear divide amongst fans.
We got away from the debate of Drum or No Drum when the alcohol kicked in (or we thought we did) and went more philosophical and turned the debate into Songs or Chants with or without drum?
Our findings were:
1.) Drummer Great for Chants and helps get those who wouldn't sing a song make their vocal contribution. (Mainly Younger generation 25 below who may not know lyrics??)
Ideal for smaller numbers of fans.
2.) The Drummer Kills songs, but songs are only good when you get a large number joining in and a good percentage of fans are intoxicated with the i dont care i will sing till i cant speak for days attitude.
Summary
Drink strong lager before the game and have each pint with a vodka chaser!
Everybody is wanting to create atmosphere but we are all going about it in different ways.
Larger away following then less drumming with more songs, Smaller numbers like last night, more drumming less neighbours!

I can see where you are coming from in highlighting many of Shez's shortcomings as a manager and his comments today regarding signings are a little mystifying to say the least
but to criticise Shez as a player beggars belief Kyle. I went to pretty much every game when Shez was turning out for us and I've said it before and i'll say it again, if Shez hadn't have been brought in by Stitch in November 1998 we'd now be playing Conference football, no iffs or buts look at where most of that squad are now. Then when he was forced into a return during the summer of hell he was better than most of this league on one leg! His quality performances from 98-04 are too innumerable to list, but just a snapshot he was MOM when we won at City, Wigan, drew at Sheff Wed etc, etc
I agree with you he stood out by a country mile at BP, IMO though Sheridan was the best of a bad bunch.
In his day before latics Sheridan was a great midfielder but he was far past his best at our place and still stuck out in our team because we were as poor as you said.
I am in no dispute he was a good player and your right We would have struggled big time without him and I am grateful, but to get the tag of legend is a bit much for me and to be our trainee manager is also one step to far IMO.
Get Dowie back lol
-
Why do you hate Shez? Do you mean you think he is a bad manager?
Just wondering seeing as though your the first Oldham fan I have heard say they they hate Shez, or even dislike him!
I am going to get slated for this but I don’t like him (Shez) at all.
I don’t rate his managerial skills or his people skills with the players but that’s just my humble opinion.
To be brutally honest (and to send Diego into melt down) he was the best of a bad bunch when he joined us as a player so I don’t rate him as a legend as most of the younger fans do sorry.
With this said I still follow and support the team he puts out home and away, hypocrite or what lol
-
Will you be bringing your 'Shez Out!' petition Kyle?
I dont think its needed these days diego, people know where i stand on the shez issue and people have their own opinions.
However all this about the boo boys not going tuesday, people class me as a boo boy because i hate sheridan yet i give the players all my support on matchdays.
Sat in the lookers lower on sat and theres a few people in their that make me look good! pitty they dont have a computer really. (Joke)

Still dont know what crossley was thinking for their goal, but hey ho.
Who needs HD when you got phone cam.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhwMaZotRog
I liked davies boots in the first half until somebody pointed out doesnt Ronaldo have the same ones?
craigs could have just been a faulty batch???
-
Trust you to come up with that one
Standing @ side.
-
Davies ditch orange boots!!
We, Need, A , Striker!
-
...especially when you figure that for exiles the phone call costs 10p a minute and the potage a pound. So the saving is at most 90p. Not worth committing yourself for that small a saving.
Well the ones i know that are going and me included are standing at the side of the goal.
I got my ticket and might regret my choice tuesday night!
-
No need for something as big as a pub. As I understand it, BOAST normally meet in a tractor. There should be enough room on the back to accommodate the empty beer barrel in which BALLS hold their get-togethers.
Seriously though what pubs etc for Bristol?
Got my ticket before today’s game and 30 mins in I was questioning my judgement. lol.
-
So does that mean that your season ticket is going spare then, cos i know at least 3/4 people that would put it to good use for.
After all Home Games means watch JS football isn't it.
Watching JS is better than watching the other JS on a Saturday Afternoon
I can see your thinking there however i need my season ticket to see chaddy the owl.
-
I bet you would have been going to Chelsea if we had beaten Huddersfield.
There are many who have avoided that expensive day out in London, which they were willing to attend, but haven't or won't replace it even with a home game. It's their prerogative but it makes it hard to run the Club as successfully as most fans expect.
I would have gone to Chelsea, I would be lying if I said I wouldn’t,
Its not about money and going to Chelsea isnt that expensive as you might think, the Huddersfield fans pay £25 Adults & £12 Concessions at the bridge & Everton got charged £20 Adults for their league cup semi final so going to Chelsea would be like us playing another league game.
I am a season ticket holder and I do love going to the pilgrimage like away trips, however I am just fed up of the same failing excuses and no change.
It doesn’t make me love the club less I just started to choose a different Saturday afternoon than watching JS football.
No matter who is right or wrong the only ways to get fans watching your team is to win games, it’s the sad truth.
-
How often do the really good away days come when things aren't that great? Forest this season was a cracker even though, or perhaps because, things were pretty rotten football wise around then. Sure the results affect attendances but you can shoot yourself in the foot if you use them as a reason not to go!
I know what your saying and your right, you cant use poor form or recent results as an excuse not to go and support your team because then you wouldn’t be a supporter at all just a glory hunter.
I went to all the games you mentioned above and in fairness we weren’t playing that well at the time, I have my own reasons why I am lacklustre in supporting the cause at the moment.
Trying my best to keep the faith.
P.S
Mark oasis, your Suggestion has been duly noted.
-
Games like Southend a few days before Christmas and fixtures like Bristol & Gillingham away midweek wouldn’t be that well attended should we be near the top of the league anyway.
However Saturday was the first time in years I didn’t go to Swansea and I just had no desire to watch the lads and that was purely down to Lack of ambition on the pitch and everybody knows my view and what I think.
IMO the clubs going nowhere under Sheridan.
-
That's a cop out! Not doing tact is one thing, but you claim "we were fed a lie"!
Valid criticism is what makes the football discussion world go round, but we've got enough people with cold feet, happy to believe the latest scurrilous rumour as their excuse for not going to BP. We don't need people apparently lying about being told a lie, and undermining the Club's owners to add fuel to the scurrilous rumours.
You say you want Sheridan out, so start your Poll again.

Sheridan Out!
Blaming the fans for Players not performing at home, Priceless.
-
who shez? Personally i would, the guy gets it wrong so many times its laughable, and im not sure he has the right temprement for management.
just my opionion.
by the way i would be more than happy to see big jow back!
I want sherridan out,
With him blaming the fans for the teams poor home record is a joke.
Its obvious he cant get anymore from his team and he hasnt got the tactics to play against a negative opposition at home.
SHERIDAN OUT! or better to leeds so we dont have to pay him!
-
Absolute tVrd.
You play at Millwall and anyother away ground in our league, do you hear the opposition fans offering encouragement to our players? NOPE.
The rubbish he spouts about the fans bringing the players down at home is pathetic, you cant hear the crowd especially the chaddy at times, so the moaners Sheridan's moaning about you wouldn't hear as a player anyway if you were 100 % focussed and in the zone.
Its just a blag from Sheridan because he cant get anything out of his players and that his tactics are poor when faced against a negative opposition at home and what makes it worse is its plain for everybody to see!
Blaming the fans is the last straw for me.
Sheridan.
