Does anyone know if the scorer, Trialist 10 was Benteke again or O grady?

The infringement was the man standing offside. It’s irrelevant where the ball was kicked from.
No, being in an offside position isn't an infringement, its only an offense if you go on to touch the ball wherever that may be.

What an absurd rule change...
Why is it? Every other freekick is given where the infringement occured, all they've done is brought the offside sanction in alignment.

A Director of BT TV claims Adkins has applied.
He's an Ipswich fan(Director not Adkins) , but I can't see why BT would be happy him speculating in this way.
He claims Adkins is out of work, and seeking a new challlenge which is about as imprecise a reason as you can get.
Strange one. Who knows.
Maybe one decent manager fancies a challenge where he says he can do it with no money. We can only hope.
Seems that account has now been deleted

When are the players ( all 5 or 6 0f them) due back in for pre-season training ?
I'm sure Forte said it was 28th June at the awards night.
-
Tweet from the EFL Cup, 16 June:
For those asking, the #EFLCup Round One draw date/time will be confirmed early next week...
So should be anytime now.

He's not here...

But then again, Sheridan and White both are, so perhaps take it with a pinch of salt.
Strange, not like the the webguy to actually update the website! #useless

Didn't attend the awards night last night, seen the last of him?

FFS I really am not allowed an opinion am I....
Watched it on the Sky website.. His feet very clearly leave the ground. That is a red card no matter which way you look at it. Read the rule book!
Other posters have also pointed out his feet leave the ground....
Please can you quote where in the laws of the game it mentions leaving the ground?? Obviously you must have read the 'rule book' as quoted above??

Lee Duxbury ticks those boxes.
Has he been a successful assistant before? Dont think he has, plus SC said they are currently at a club?
-
Shez says he hopes to appoint his assistant next week, he is someone who knows the league very well including the championship, and has already been a successful assistant before.
-
Well that didnt last long, no more boats and hoes!
-
Think he has been an unused sub in every squad since signing, but yeah abit strange that he hasn't even played yet yet after getting a contract.
-
Cheers for that, couldn't find anything specific when I searched. So that rules out the badge theory, whatever it is, its not like Latics to do things the easy way is it!
-
Dunn is studying for his Pro license so we can rule the first one out.
Do you know this for sure? Can't find any reference to which badges he is currently studying for?
-
Maybe it due to his coaching badges, as unless he has achieved his A license, then he is not allowed to manage permenantly.
-
Is the interim tag because he hasn't completed his 'A' licence and therefore not allowed to be officially full time yet??

OK rumour has it most of DK's signings weren't actually DK's signings, however.....
I think it would be fair to say most of us thought Lee Johnson was our best signer of players/wheeler dealer since Joe Royle...
He seemed to have a knack of signing a player, getting a season out of him and then selling him on for an (undisclosed) profit.
But, this seasons business seems to have made us a much better TEAM.
LJ never signed a forward of Cassidy's quality - 2 Games (see croft comment)
Or a midfielder like Dunn. Like who?
Burn looks better than any of LJ's loan signings, barring maybe Korey Smith. Agree, I think Burn is going to be a great player.
He got rid of Croft - two games so far tell us he shouldn't have.... See Cassidy comment
Cornell arguably looks better than that keeper he brought in for a season long loan, whose name I've already forgotten.... Agree, but so does Coleman
Not to mention Paddy Kenny & Jake Kean. See above
Kelly, Jones, Forte, J Wilson were very good signings, however, The Dazzler has so far kept hold of them (during an LJ tenure that gave them the contracts) while LJ got rid of/lost Baxter, Matt Smith, Grounds, Tarky. Doubt it was LJs decision to sell/let go
Kelly has only got rid of/lost Elokobi, Lockwood, (Debateable if that was DKs decision) Mellor, Morgan-Smith... no massive loss
And he signed/loaned some right old :censored:e aswell - Tidser, KIssock, Kusunga, Mellis, MacDonald, AGREED! ( but there is time for DK to do the same)
LJ increasingly starts to look like he was a kid in a sweetshop whilst Kelly is fine dining (even if Corney is ordering for him - "I recommend the Blackburn Rump, don't worry I'm paying" )
Kelly, whether through choice or Corney's insistence, is going about his/our business a lot more sensibly & giving us a lot more quality....
Your opening line negates the rest of you post.
However I'm not a fan of of LJ, but its too early too make these judgements, I am a fan of DK, but these posts should be reserved for at least New Year.

For me Gordon and Mike are essnetial lsitening. Roy I waver with. His passion for Latics, though, is unquestioned.
Roy's "interviews" with Stuart Pike and the other commontator around that time were low points. Especially given their estemed status, they did well to keep the interview going.
Yeah i like Gordon and Mike, but sorry cant stand Roy, he offers absolutlely nothing to the commentry.

Why wouldn't it be Harper? Coming to the end of his career, still got a good season in him as back up, probably looking at getting some coaching experience.
-
That doesn't mean coaching u9s either. That just means working in an academy where, the same as ours, those that work in the youth development will still know the name of every kid that's there. This idea that seems to be floating around that he's an u9s coach (mainly by singe at the moment) is incorrect. At some point during his education, he'll have run sessions for them but that's not what he'll have been doing for a while. His job title telld you that.
Yeah, thats what i said
-
That doesn't say he is an under 9s coach, the only mention of u9s coaching is this from his York City job:
"Lead the coaching and management of the youth development team while assisting from U9 level up"
I'm not saying it is not a gamble, he could turn out to be :censored:, but it frustrates me when people refer to him as though he has just been plucked of the local park kids soccer school.
