I think you'd find that all directors would walk involuntarily if admin arose. Where is it reported that Mr Owen has gone?
It's here Dave

This one?
For one reason or another I ended up with Darren Beckford's actual match shirt from this season. It was f***ing massive.

Swaby was mega impressive, making his debut in a makeshift defence that’s already getting hammered. Superb.

Someone sat near me today said that Wild had already secured employment elsewhere next season. I don't know accurate that source was but it wouldn't surprise me.
I also overheard a pretty confident conversation today that Wild already had a new job elsewhere for next season.
Could be we were all sat near the same people though?!

Sunderland (1990, w3-2)
A bit forgotten since it fell right in that mad spell of games at the end of the pinch-me season. Roaster of a day, great following again and a fine win in a great old school stadium. Not sure but I think we may have still a shout of the play-offs. Sunderland beat Newcastle in the play-offs and went up that season.
Had forgotten this but what a great game.
Think promotion hopes had gone, playing Sat, Tue, Thu, Sat, Mon or something crazy.
No pressure on this one, just knocked it around like demons. Think Sunderland fans clapped us off.

This bloody football club. Absolutely had enough of it.

As many have already said, I didn't actually know Dave personally but he's been a brilliant contributor on here over the years and I felt like I did.
So sad to hear this.
Much love.

this is a feel good, absolute no brainer.
brilliant.

Anyone know when next season's kit will be unveiled?
Appreciate this might not be high up the list of priorities right now but I'm trying to look forward to next season and if nothing else my kids will be up for new kit.
And are we sticking with Sports Direct / Sondico or are we totally free of that association now and maybe getting a new manufacturer?

I was most excited when we signed paul moulden and darren beckford.
neither quite worked out as i'd hoped.

As I didn't donate I don't really have a dog in this fight but, given this is fan money, it is clearly only morally (and possibly legally) right that the club confirms whether the Football Club owns the boards or another organisation.
And at the same time they must confirm whether the Trust will benefit from the revenue as was suggested as part of the fundraising campaign.
And well done to the Trust for shining some light on a very dark situation. Brilliant work, keep it up.

Not sure I would describe the Wembley draw as injustice. Heart breaking, yes. But where was the injustice? Amount of time added on maybe but don't remember thinking it was anything like the Fergie time against Wednesday the following season.
There was an offside in the build up to that equaliser, can't remember who it was now but under the old offside rule it should have been disallowed (and no amount of video evidence or contrary memories will ever convince me otherwise.)
I still remember being interviewed by GMR or piccadilly radio or someone outside Maine Rd before the replay and mentioning it then, surprisingly I was edited out

if true, the recruitment strategy seems to have switched from choosing a proven winner who is a complete ***t to choosing a proven loser who is a nice enough chap.
brain mashing.

finally, official confirmation that this isn't a first team competition.

OK. It's all about opinions as someone else said up the thread. Very soft for me. Thought so at the time and looks like it on screen. The ball was bouncing through to the keeper. Dale had showed no threat up to that point either (which makes it doubly worse). Ref was poor yesterday generally and apparently the goal that was ruled offside wasn't. Ah well. Sour grapes I suppose.
while I did think it was a pen at the time, I completely agree on your point about the ref. holloway was getting mugged all match. felt like the ref had made a conscious decision to just ignore it.
-
my view of the pen was from the small section of the RRE which was the perfect angle. I thought their lad was smart, he sensed the challenge coming, knocked the ball out the way and let dieng clatter into him. definite pen for me and I didn't see any other defenders complain, they just looked gutted dieng had made the challenge.
(it did look soft as **** on the telly tho I have to admit)

It's all about opinions..Today was the first time I've seen them in a while and I could not believe how often we gave the ball away and the poor display in the second half. Jones, Kelly and Forte are shadows of the players they used to be and Palmer had a poor game. All in all a disappointing day.
my first game of 2016 for one reason or another.
I was shocked at how poor the passing and composure was. dale looked comfortably the more competent team and were never under enough pressure second half.
the occasional good moment today and some belting goals, but pretty worried if that's an improvement.

47th time televised in succession!
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/dec/11/manchester-united-fa-cup-televised?
that's every tie for the last ten years!

Playing United away doesn't really stick out in the memory.
I think I hated them so very, very much the games were unenjoyable......
I've mellowed now. A bit. So it might be good.
I hear you. I've always enjoyed games against city but my hatred for the rags runs so deep I always found playing them totally unbearable.
ps i believe they are on a run of 45 consecutive televised cup ties, so it would be quite a turn up if the next one wasn't.

Wish we had Adidas or Nike making the kits. You can just tell the difference between their standards and the likes of Carbrini, Sondico, Diadora. Can't put your finger on it but there's something about our kits that just look lower league, whereas the teams with the better brands seem a bit more professional - you could see them playing in the Prem.
The best in League 1 last season were Bradford, Preston and Sheffield United. I'd have bought the kit to play sports in if ours looked like that, as much as the new kit is decent I still wouldn't buy it. Maybe I'm a kit snob but there's probably quite a few others the same.
i for one am exactly the same. total kit snob. i buy kits from time to time for running and sport. if we had a nike, adidas or umbro kit i would buy it pretty much without question. but as it is, it is a long, long time since i picked up an oldham kit and although this one is definitely a huge improvement, i can't see me getting it.

Football, of all things, should not be the trigger for you to have had to do that.
My feelings exactly. My over riding feeling about the last few days at OAFC is that the club have put so many people in such a difficult position. And it really did not have to be this way.

Sheridan is a club legend but he’s well past it now.
Obviously we need new owners more than anything else.
But we also need a younger coach with fresh ideas who knows this division.
