  1. We're having issues getting some things printed because the version of the logo I have is not high resolution.

Can anyone help? I have a copy of the logo as a jpg and an eps file but how do I get a really good version of it?!!

If you're still stuck let me know - PM for my email and send it over - i'll see what I can do. I'll need the .eps though.

    Cheers,

    Dan

  2. came out for the second-half together sharing a joke, so obviously their previous disagreement is behind them...

Was it not just in the playoff semi they had a bit of a row. I was there but didn't see what led up to it? Did it even carry on after that? Probably shook hands and forgot all about it.

  3.

hmmmmm I'm gonna struggle with this, this could possibly be my worst nightmare come true.

Yes I know he has been/maybe still is a good player.

But he has been in my most hated players ever to visit Boundary Park, I've given him so much stick over the years its untrue. I have never ever wanted to see him in an Oldham shirt.

Now I've gotta change my opinion instantly!! Oh dear!! Thats quite hard for me.

I hope for the sake of the mighty Blues he bangs in an absolute hatful but please forgive me if I'm not singing his name straight away tomorrow cus I'm gonna feel a little hypocritical!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've gotta agree, I can't stand him. If he bags a few I might change my mind though!

  4. ihave seen a few threads seeking assistance in converting avi to mp4 etc., but when ripping from youtube, things are downloaded in flv format.

does anyone know any genuine and free converters from flv to avi. xilisoft converter is good, but the free download is a trial only.

    there must be one....?!?!?

Use quicktime with perian plugin, works fine for me and both for nowt!

  5. my mates (County fans who I had to give a lift home to) were right near it, they said they've never seen anything like it. Apparantly people covered in blood and everything, it's their own fault really I just hope we dont get a fine for this

If anyone, it'll be them who gets the fine - for not preparing for the game properly and not allocating appropriate tickets and probably for not co-coordinating with the police properly or for failure to control their fans! If nothing more, the police will recommend more presence on matchdays, which will hit them in the pocket on a regular basis!

  6. Watched the highlights this morning and I was very disappointed with Lee Hughes goal celebration. Clearly wound up the home fans by dancing in front of them. It very much did it on purpose. While I accept that Lee has served his time and I fully support Latics taking him on. He needs to rise above any sort of stick the opposition might throw his way. The best response is to stick in a goal.

Its a growing trend in football. Happens weekly in the prem and is starting to happen more in our league. For me inciting the crowd should be a straight red card. Very unprofessional. Football fans will always give the players stick. Its part and parcel. I think if Lee or any player wants to approach a couple thousands fans and give them a piece of his mind he should be ready for some sort of come back aka Millwall... Where he had to run and hide, not for the first time in his life....

Im sorry put he is starting to piss me off abit...you took a life mate...live with the stick.... I think you need to be whiter than white mate....your representing my club...I personally expect better from you... And I am going to tell him next time I see him...

All part of the game and i'd rather he shoved it in the fans face after all the stick he gets instead of doing something stupid on the pitch!

  7. 1. Outdoor TV's and sound (when the game's not on) so you can keep up with other games and scores - could encorage more casual supporters too so they can watch the end of (or full game) of afternoon kick-offs - especially when it's bigger local teams playing.

    2. Beer sellers and refreshments sellers mingling about throughout the game.

    Those'll do for a start!

  8. I used to live across the street from Andy Rhodes when I was a wee lad. He'd regularly join me and my mate for a kickabout and once or twice Rick Holden and Stitch came along. Was like a young latics supporters dream come true! I was a keeper and stitch headed a ricky cross at me - although he obviously took something off it, I remember thinking that it was like a bullet! Great days! They were all brilliant blokes!

I also remember Andy Rhodes first introducing Rick Holden to me and me not recognising him cos he used to dress like a cowboy! ha ha!

  9. I've seen a few comments on here in the last couple of weeks suggesting that Stefan should be in the team in front of our Captain.

Although I like Stam, I hope that tonight has shown that he is not on the same planet, never mind the same pitch as Greagan.

    Cheers,

    Harry

It's all about form - stam had an awesome game the other week and was VERY solid all of last season - he looked unhappy on the ball last night against two big and pacy strikers and with no support from our supposed 5th midfielder (no-one tracked back half the time) but that's natural. I think Greegs would've been more imposing but wouldv'e been shown up for pace on a good few occasions last night. Before Greegs was crocked last season he was having a shocker. Both decent players in my book, bit of a different style but i'm happy they both pull latics shirts on

  10. Refuse to boo anyone in a latics shirt personally especially someone like O'Grady who always gives 100%. Also didnt agree with singing we want Hughesy on as those fans were no doubt singin johnny sheridan etc.

He did look gutted to go off. He got scraps and was far too isolated on his own up front - a lot to ask of the lad against higher league opposition, plus he was kicked up in the air by dirty Burnley every time he got near the ball - he held up well but just didn't get the support he badly needed from midfield or a second striker. He's had a shaky start but i'm sure will come through - lets not get on his back and lets not have another Ricketts situation - a waste of everyones time, our money and our chances of promotion,

  11. My first post on this site stated that Davies was a cocky gob:censored:e. I got slated for that but i stand by it. He has potential but i dislike him.

A mate of mine used to play with him at shrewsbury - said he was a right cock and not many liked him but he was bloody brilliant and stood out amongst the rest. Also said that he made the effort and won a few round after a while.

What a daft thing to do last night though, stupid and pointless - but he'll have his ban, he'll have a bollocking then hopefully it's out of the way and everyone can put it behind them and he'll score a hat-full this season.

  12. It's a giant cock up, What do the club expect? Push some of the chaddy over to the RRE as well as the old family standers in the lookers and expect them all to sit quietly and not get excited next to the away fans....especially dirty buggers like millwall! It's just not possible to stay in your seat all game and not respond to provocation from away fans and on the pitch events - if ANYONE can sit still in a football game, then it's either a crap game or they're not interested in the game! Would've been better to be a bit more organised.

Fair point, kids and parents don't need to hear swearing and banter, but they'd get it over the gap from the away fans anyhow, so we might as well respond!

  13. crazy headbutting players in this day and age, deserves to be banned and should be fined by the club as well.....least it gives shez a chance to mix things round a bit.

Will be a three match ban for violent conduct, but will hopefully give one of the other lads a chance and give him time to sort himself out!

  14. Ok, so i was going to buy world for when i'm away with work, but can I log on from anywhere on any computer or is it an application that only works on one machine with the one subscription? Might not always have my laptop.

Thanks in advance for any help!

  15. Having enjoyed a Leo Sayer in Stockport yesterday and struggling with a hangover today, I decided to walk over to Latics today to pick up my season ticket and sign Ernie’s book of condolences, in the deluded thought that it may help to blow away the cobwebs. I bought my main stand ticket online and was not entirely sure if my seat would be a good one. I asked Judith in the ticket office if I could change it if I wasn’t best pleased with it after a couple of games. To my absolute astonishment Judith then went on to the computer wrote down the numbers of what she thought would be better seats and then took me up to the stand and allowed me to wander through and check out the seats. I have now got an absolute belter of a seat.

As something of a misanthropic curmudgeon I’m only too happy to point out when things are not to my liking, so I thought it only right to congratulate the club and Judith in particular on this fantastic show of superb customer service. Not a misanthropic curmudgeon today, but a winsome boulevardier. Thank you.

I then went into the shop and signed Ernie’s book. Please get down there and sign it if at all possible. I’m heading back down there now with a shirt to hang on the tribute.

Same happened to me and my nephew when we got ours a few years back! Belting isn't it! He was over the moon! The service and the staff are part of what makes the club what it is!
