Yeah I'm interested please. Matt Allen
-
Prozac I'm on the 0655 from manc mate. Anyone else?
-
He doesn't get the service he'd get at a club like Bournemouth, neither did Derbyshire or Kuqi for that matter. We could have Van Persie up front but it wouldn't matter as he wouldn't get service.
Barnard I thought was excellent Tuesday with Matt Smith, they had a good understanding together and I'd hope this partnership continued until season end.
-
Ideally my first XI next season would be....
Bouzy
RB - New
CB - M'Voto (Don't think he'll stay though)
CB - Belzika - Was really impressive against Yeovil and think he's better than Tarky
LB - Grounds
RM - Croft
CM - Mellor (If fit)
CM - K Smith (ideally , think he's class)
LM - Montano (needs a full season, been inj a lot this season)
CF - Baxter
CF - New (smith is off and even if not I still don't think he's good enough to play 40+ games a season)
-
Lee Johnson needs our full backing and yes there will be bad days, but after reading the messages on here and chatting to my dad who was one of the lucky 12 (O4U) I'm very impressed by a) his vision & actually putting that vision into practice. Admit-tingly it is VERY early days as pointed out above but get on board on jog on son because quite frankly the club doesn't need the attitude your displaying.
-
great result but he got a reaction from the players thats all. im praying we stay up then next season spend a bit on a proper manager an have him as number 2 so he can learn what its all about
What qualify's as a proper manager then.
(had to take the bite didn't I )

My post got removed - how rude. Thought it quite apt. Not usually so vulgar but for that chap he deserves all of Big Duncs attention!
-
All those that attended and posted, thanks. I'm impressed that he wants to turn out for the ressies to get to know them. Good luck Lee, and 3 goals a game will do nicely thank you.
How was last night for you!
-
Agreed - Baxter is a relieved man. Hopefully that can restart his goalscoring for, thought her was outstanding tonight. Was all over the place. Shrewsbury & Swindon are two good tests for the new "gaffer"
-
Dunno if its been mentioned on other threads but when the Lee met the 12 fans, he mentioned a player with a surname of Butler and Corney interjected with a angry/jovial response of "don't mention that name in here" clearly not a fan of the clipboard warrior.
-
Result aside, I thought the performance tonight was very impressive, yes we let them have to many corners and if we were playing a team within the top 10 the scoreline may be different but there was hunger, desire & body's on the line tonight. Very professional & organised performance.
Bouzy - Not much to do but dealt with the majority that came his way (6)
Brown - I thought was very impressive tonight, imho his best performance in a tics shirt (7)
M'Voto - The man was a stallion at the back, a rock as always, although I wish he'd pay more attention to a look for a pass rather than "hoof" (8)
Tarky - Good game, a few mistakes but made some crucial interceptions and tackles (7)
Grounds - Did his job with very little fuss as always, got forward with menace (7)
Croft - The guy has come into his own in recent matches, needs to work on the fitness, maybe the loss of the ear-ring may help ;) (7)
Weso - Put in a captains performance tonight, was all the over the place, a little terror (7)
Baxter - Exceptional, got the impression he has been given a "free role" was all over the place (9 MOM)
Simmo - A performance of old, although I still thinks he looks for the foul over anything else, very assured performance though capped by a good header (7)
Barnard - Ran his a**se off tonight, did caused there defence all sorts of bother (8)
K Smith - Very assured in midfield, broke there attacks down and helped cause issues going forward, close 2nd for MOM (9)
Subs
Millar - Looks like challenging Croft for a first team place, looked good at Tranny & followed that up today by a decent cameo (6)
Fat Bastard - Need I say anything more! (5)
Obita - Struggling to see what he offers over Montano - Didn't have time to make any impact tonight (6)
Manager
Decent start for our new "gaffer" looked busy on touchline and seemed to be in control of the players. Tougher tests to come though (8)
Thoughts?
-
Also as there are free refreshments, can we have mars duo's please?
-
I'd like to attend
-
We certainly need a new manager in but if we could wait until after Shrewsbury that'd be great. Got a fiver on TP at 20/1 with sky bet. 10 games is permanent. Need the cash ;-)
-
Ref just missed BLATENT penalty to latics for handball
-
Today's ref is Tim Robinson. Seems rather decent from forums I've looked at. Soccer base stats are 22 games 54 bookings and 2 reds. Our favourite ref a Mr Andy w***er Woolmer is reffin Preston vs stevenage. So no demotion
-
Stockport County. First team I ever went to see. Always go and watch them when no latics clash.
-
I know tell me about it. It's been becoming squeaky bum time! Guaranteed to be replaced after 9 games knowing latics!
-
Yeah that was my thought exactly
-
I had a fiver at 20/1 when sky bet first offered odds! 10 games is permanent as far as sky bet are concerned
-
I think o4u made a good point in the fact that it's all well and good building thus swanky new stand but we need to make it an earner and our current marketing team aren't exactly the "A Team" are they.
-
Well done Matt (never just Smith) Smith
-
Dowie is no god, decent enough manager back in the day but let's not forget he's been out of the game for a few years now and I personally think his brother bob and john harbin were the brains of the operation.
-
Can't see that happening in a million years!
