Not a chance, clubs on the up. Relegation is the best thing that could have happened to us, new owner, new manager, youth set up doing outstanding, academy taking off and fans starting to get behind the club after years of crap. This is the start of something decent for a change and no one can say our fans don't deserve it after so many bad times

Wouldn't get too excited about that new owner, you don't know his intentions and you've got another winding up order to fend off

It’s not so much his ability, it’s more his attitude. You need both really but he can’t seem to see it. I’ve said it before, he needs to grow up quickly if he really wants to be a professional footballer otherwise before he knows it he will be looked on as ‘not worth the hassle’ and he’ll end up back in Ireland.

That's a given although we're having to judge on speculation and rumours. I was responding to the people that were questioning his ability.

Funny how fickle fans can be. Lee Hughes, majority of fans were willing to completely overlook what he did and the rumours from behind the scenes that he was still a massive tw@ and a big disruption in the dressing room. What Jacks rumoured to have done pales in comparison but the majority have written him off already.

Very difficult task with the category system I'd think, anyone showing promise at early age can be winkled out for buttons, can understand why some clubs have given it up.

Clubs gave it up due to the new rules introduced, EPPP Elite Player Performance Plan

At the time it seemed like an excuse for PL clubs to nick lower league youngsters for peanuts

Although recently it seems to be having a negative effect on younger kids looking to move with clubs holding out for compensation

I have found that some people just cant survive without the constant need for pessimism, doom & gloom and a real sense of negativity in their lives. These people are scared of being positive and upbeat and react by attacking those who are.

Never sat in the main stand i take it? ^_^

That's exactly what he means. And it won't help his cause if he doesn't manage to shift these players and he's relying on them next season.

He should be giving everyone a clean slate. Just like the fans and Abdallah are willing to give him. I'm glad we've stuck with Wellens, but he needs to appreciate there was a good case for getting rid of him. And the failure to secure the 2 extra points we needed to stay up, from the run of games he had, isn't simply down to "bad" players.

If he doesn't admit and address his own shortcomings, he won't last very long as a manager.

The players he is calling out here, the majority of those are probably capable of doing a very good job in League Two, but the manager's approach is instrumental in getting the best performances out of those players.

Along the line of my thoughts, I'm struggling to get excited at whatever squad we put together because we thought we had a good squad last season but with Wellens in charge we got relegated.

Fans just seem to have accepted the fact that he is staying when 90% wanted him sacked if we got relegated.

I'm more concerned about a number 2, backroom staff and facilities. Wellens was out of his depth last season, especially without a number 2. Nothings changed.
