Have never had a problem with Beckett. Spoke to him in the IOM and he's the most down to earth footballer you could wish to meet. Turned down more money at Southend (as well as private flights so he could keep his northern roots...no pun intended) to sign for us.

You can count on one hand the number of real opportunities COG has had this season. And even the majority of these have been 'out of position'. Left of a top 3 at Dale, on his own at Burnley etc etc. Hardly started as one of a 2 up front. And when he's come on as sub he's been effective, running defenders down, winning headers, holding the ball up, basically the last thing a defender wants to face with 20 minutes to go.

Give him a proper chance Shez. You signed him.

Why did we play 4-5-1 and not 4-3-3? Especially at home to gash opposition. And come on, it was 4-5-1, who exactly got remotely close to Lewis in the 1st half?

Why are our only two moves to play it across the back 4 a couple of times and then HOOF to Alessandra and Wolf (the two smallest players at the club) OR to pass it round hoping to finally get it to Jones who will then give it Taylor? Once it gets to Taylor thats it, it's job done, you can almost hear the huge sigh of relief from the other 10, everyone just stands back and watches him.

Why oh why is Crossley still in nets? He's a liability. He will lose more goals than he saves. That throw in for their goal was his to claim, no messing.

Why are we not playing to feet, especially to the feet of Lewis and Wolf? They'd turn most defences inside out with the ball but not when it's over their head. Maher threatened a few times in the first half by finding feet on the edge of the box, the rest of the time it was pot luck.

Why is Jones just a shadow of the player we signed? It's because he's lost all drive. He/we were on fire when he bombed on, working well with Taylor, overlapping at every opportunity. Now he just finds him and sits back.

Why did we only have 1 fit and available striker when we have 6 or 7 at the club?

Why did I waste £20 and 3 hours of my life when I knew full well what was going to happen? I text Derk at 19:46 telling him to get his mortgage on a 1-0 Cheltenham win.

We lost the race but the deal was "90%" done.

Rumour has it it's Byfield with Donny fans at weekend apparently confirming as much.

Now we're on Wednesday with no real update.

Is Shez's position currently under review? Are TTA sick of backing him by bringing in new players, especially strikers? Is this the beginning of the end?

We already have a player who can do all of the above but unfortunately he's down at Gigg Lane.

This season we've done it more than I'd prefer...I'd rather be in front, but we have bucked up and come back. That is NOT a lost dressing room. There are things that do need to be addressed and I'm certain it will happen......

Why oh why do we fanny about which more often than not results in a blocked cross? Takes the pish. And when we do finally get some in the box Maher hits the first man THREE times!

When we do manage to beat the first man people like Taylor are attacking it with Gregan loitering near the keeper. Why? Scunny showed us how to do it. Two centre halves bombing in from outside the box at the last minute, more often than not they'll beat a standing jump. Get it on target and you're unfortunate not to score.

Pathetic. I'm gonna resist talking about the rest of the performance.

My only surprise is that County have gone for him. They footballed us off the park at their place, a team crammed full of youngsters who played footy like it's meant to be played and looked like they'd run through brick walls for the cause. I couldn't think of a worse addition to that ethos than Davies.

Not missed him at all this season. Hardwork, enthusiasm, dedication, commitment, teamwork, all lost on him.

Lewi on the other hand, out of the squad completely, gets recalled and puts in the game of his life. A hat trick against top of the league...not a league 2 reserve team.
