  1. There were around six of us walking up to the train station after the match and about 20 Hudds 'boys' on the other side, just about 400 yds before we got to the station they starting chanting something like, 'where are ya Failswoth'

One of them, around 40 years old, strolled over to us and starting singing anti Oldham chants etc and knowing we were must be from Oldham starting baiting us!!

I'd had enough so in true Bruce Lee mode, duly laid out all 20 or so of them single handedly

Nah, we just casually ignored the knob and made our way to The Head Of Steam, opened the door, thought :censored: that when we realised it was full of meat heads and got the 5.30 train home

Not sure I'll ever be the same again

that 5.30 train journey didnt go without incident either, off duty coppers trying to throw a lad off for chanting "get your tickets out for the lads" when the clippy came round, no sense of humour some people, lots of pissed up folk on the train who were doing the "real ale trail" only added to the hi jinks

  2. I was all for a new ground pretty much anywhere within reason, but not sharing in limbo I want a future to support as well as a present not merely an existence. If that's the case I walk away for good and will not look back just like I did when Jim Quinn and OMBC fooked Oldham RLFC fans off. I await the announcement with interest...

Personally its through thick and thin for me, looks like the thin times are coming and the club needs us more than ever, I wont walk away, I wouldnt like to be in the trenches with some of the folk who post on here.

  3. yes he was, good see a GK with a sense on humour, took a bit of stick over his weight and did a sumo/muscle man impression for us. Had a kick about with the ball boy to keep him and lad warm and then shook the hand of the latics fan (don't know his name, always sings, dresses like a punk rocker with spikey hair), when he went down to shake his hand after giving him stick over his weight.

wish more were a bit more humours and would let more goals in of course.

Goalie to Leezyverpunk; "Whats the score with your fackin barnet mate?" hahaha

  4. The EDL laid a wreath in remembrance of those who died on 9/ll at the war memorial in Oldham, no books were burnt. The EDL in chadderton were prevented from walking to Oldham centre by the police and were ordered to disperse, they were in Chadderton because Oldhams nearest train station is now Mills Hill. As far as im aware there was no NF around.

  5. I suspect there would be some flexibility in the FA rules, given that Grimsby play in Cleethorpes, Manchester United play in Trafford and Port Vale doesn't even exist!

And don't get me started on Wimbledon.

And, what about Chester, half thier ground was in a different country!

  6. There was racist graffiti in the subway under Chadderton Way last time i went through. i've also seen stuff along Broadway. Unfortunately it's not that uncommon, there's a fair bit of it in the part of Liverpool where i used to live (i haven't seen any where i live now in Toxteth, unsurprisingly).

And unfortunately people's homes do get attacked - i could be wrong but wasn't one of the things that led up to the riots Stoke 'fans' putting in windows in Westwood?

I can confirm there is racist graffiti in the subway under Chadderton way, its from the ahem "pro ginger" faction

  7. Yeah the PC card got played before the 'racist' card. Personally i agree with Armando Iannucci:"I like political correctness. I like the fact that you can't use the words 'Paki' and 'mong' in railway station announcements."

Yeah because people were always coming out with stuff like that down the railway station werent they?
