A replacement would be found from within the club.
Agree with this, if they let him go it will probably be because the compenation money is wanted to help pay for the stand. In which case they won't want to spend it on someoene from the outside who might want to bring his own staff with him.

To be fair, we have just had a pretty good transfer window and resisted most efforts to cash in.
So, I don't think the Board will be ready to cash in.
Of course, everyone has a price, but we are not as desperate as we have been in the past few years.
That's a fair point and i hope you are right. But, given Johnson's comments, the club could have put this to bed straight away by saying "Sorry, he's not available", as Swindon did, instead of "No comment".
-
Reading between the lines of the club's "No comment" and Johnson's "I have two and a half years left on my contract, so it won't be my decision to leave" in the MEN, it sounds like Johnson would be happy to stay but Corney wants to cash in on him.

Conor Wilkinson back until January was what I was told at the game today.
Don't know the guy who told me so can't vouch for his reliability.
-
MEN now reporting that, despite interest from Italy, a £5M move to another Premier League team is more likely, with Newcastle still favourites.

The two signings that 'could' be announced today are Michael O'connor and Michael Brown according to the port vale local rag. No mention of Forte.
I'm surprised Port Vale are thinking about signing anyone today, given that they've just been issued with a winding up petition.

The guy in front of me at the ticket office yesterday asked about this.
He was told they are intending to do them but it won't be finalised for a while.
They are not sure yet when the car park will be out of action for re-surfacing, building work e.t.c .

I suppose there was never anything definate, only speculation re the 200 quid ticket, will look a bit sick if the playing budget is chopped by any great amount !
Whilst it is true that there was no offical annoucement, the leaking of the Furman video and now the subsequent u-turn isn't great PR. It makes the club look amateurish.

Warnock in?
May be Mendi/Royle Army/Ibby can shed some light on this. He seems to be a Blades fan who is 'in the know' now.

The guy who sits next to me at work knows our new manager. He's from Yeovil and used to live on the same street as him.
He says Lee is best mates with Terry Skiverton and reckons they used to talk about working together as a management team in the future.
Would Lee be prepared to upset his Dad by trying to poach his assistant ?

At this rate, we'll be able to name the crowd soon
-
May be he's even cheaper that that.
It wouldn't surprise me if Johnson has agreed to do the job unpaid until the end of the season to get the experience on his cv.
-
It does seem like Corney is preparing the way for his exit at the end of the season.
It will certainly be interesting to hear his reasons for this appointment, assuming he turns up for the press conference.
-
Brown and Horton were both making notes during the game.
Preparing for an interview perhaps ?
-
Just been to pick mine up and was offered a choice of lower tier or upper tier. So it appears they are selling both
-
Just been down there myself. Got 3 extra tickets without having to show my season ticket. No queue at all.

Ex England international - Michael Ricketts ?

Somrthing has been going on with Duxbury for a while - he hasn't been at the last 2 home games.

Peterborough are rumored to have made a £350,000 bid for him, according to the Peterborough Telegraph.

Strange timing, coming 3 days after winning the local derby. I would have thought they made the decision before that game but have waited to get someone lined up for the job before sacking him.
-
It says in the Chron that they have passed 500 and are well on the way to selling 1000.

Its not about taylor taking it, its reported IF woolford GOES to forest then they will go in for taylor. woolford wont go forest, taylor wont go scunny.
BBC reporting that Woolford is signing for Bristol City, so may be Scunthorpe will make another offer for Taylor.

A relative of mine had a ticket for the game against Carlisle on boxing day but can't make it to the re-arranged game on the new date. Does anyone know if he can swap the ticket for another game later in the season given that the match has been postponed from it's original date ?
Thanks

He has signed for Bradford until the end of the season
