I wonder if other club's fans have the expectations and self-importance some of our fans have ? We were bottom four last season for a number of reasons that have been well chronicled on here but the fledgling manager seems to take more than his fair share of stick. Admittedly I  didn't agree with all his team selections BUT whatever eleven that turned out should have been good enough to keep us in League 1. They couldn't graft a couple of wins out of the final few games and so were relegated. And before anyone gets on the lack of motivation from Wellens, if you need motivating to avoid relegation you're not a professional sportsperson.

Thinking he did a piss poor job isn't self importance.

Whatever XI turned out should have been good enough? That seems to lay no blame at his door and seems to be full of self importance "we were too good to go down" attitude.

Collectively we deserved to go down. Whether people blame the players, the manager or a collection of both (as in my opinion is probably fair) - we have gone down and I'd have binned Wellens off for it... along with some players too.

I wouldn't have kept him. I'm sure though he'll not be here in February if he puts out half-arsed teams and complains about it all the time. Over to him.

Close season is when you reevaluate & this is when you boot a manager out. The 2nd half of the season was dog awful.

For me he should be down the road, but if he stays, give him.a faur crack at it.

Strange Bryan is still about if out for the season.  McLaughlin doesn’t deserve to play for us! He basically coasted through this season picking up a pay packet before he leaves!

I saw Kean on saturday walking down sheepfoot lane, when he stopped talking to a fan, the fan went into the paddock & I asked him how Kean is. He said "he had started training" - any chance of him playing next week? "Doubt it".

2 million or so have it.

I don’t think it will be a good attendance because it’s Tuesday, it’s chilly again, Southend won’t hardly bring anyone and out recent home games will have left the less regular supporters unimpressed.

& we play on saturday. If you are doing 1 - You'll do Saturday.

But we don’t sack people prematurely.

    We never have.

We sack them because there not very good at their job. An in a lot of cases were very poorly recruited in the first place.

Ive asked a few times, but nobody can answer me. Who have we sacked (apart from Ronnie Moore) who didn’t deserve it?

    Sheridan

Do people seriously think we’d get Mick McCarthy? He’ll get a big Championship job next, probably Leeds.

His stock has fallen and we don't know how much money and or ambition Abdullah has. We also don't know which division we will be in either.

I think Simon Grayson is not out of the question if we stay up. He has pedigree at this level.

I think it's going to be a foreigner next up regardless of money, division or ambition.

"Rochdale have a decent surface now thanks to Spurs."  Sorry to inform you but that was a rumour that Spurs had anything to do with our pitch - they didn't contribute financially.  It just needed doing before we played them. We had it relaid at a similar time during last season, even though we weren't playing Spurs.

Not quite true... Spurs didnt take their away ticket money from the game at spotland. That helped.

But he hasn't. He wanted Mills - chairman wouldn't give him an extra year, Nazon turned up for training and Wellens was told there and then by Lemsagam that he was signing on loan, similar story with Zeus and Moimbe...

If that's the case and I have no need to doubt it - it won't really matter who we put in. It will never be the manager's team.

Between now and the 17th we play Oxford Away and Walsall and Gillingham at home.

I said after Wigan that the next 3 home games will define our season. If we get 7 points or more from them, (regardless of the Oxford result) we will be fine. I am sticking with that. Anything less will be squeaky bum time.

    1 down - 3 points gained.
