  1. We have a 19 year old striker who is playing with some confidence now he is getting a run of games. He has scored 3 goals in 3 games, all very different but all counting the same.

Are some of you really complaining that he should have passed the ball to Winchester? If he had been crowded out and lost the ball, then fair enough that you whinge about it, but he had the confidence to go for it when he saw the gap open up and he scored. This should be applauded.

All of those moaning, get a grip. I'd much prefer someone be a bit greedy now and again and score. It won't happen all the time but give the kid credit for going for it.

Are the people whinging about him not passing to Winchester also going to criticise Winchester for not passing to Murphy instead of going it alone at Scunthorpe?

  2. I was disappointed, but would have given him a clap on his return....that is until I heard his press conference, with the Barnsley fella stating that he has created a detailed plan for his 1st 100 day in charge.

His mind was obviously made up quite early on that he wanted to go and as a result, I don't think it's a coincidence that the players seemed like they couldn't be arsed or had any clue how to play on Saturday!

    Bridges burned for me!

  3. Best case scenario after MK Dons game, we are 5th.

Worst case scenario after MK Dons game, we are 10th and a maximum of 3 points outside the play offs.

Wheels falling off, do me a favour! Given the choice at the start of the season, not one of us would have grumbled about being where we are. In fact, would imagine the vast majority would be delighted!

  4. We've just won 3-0 pretty comfortably away at our local rivals! Danny P was involved in everything that was good about us today. You don't mess with a winning team.

If and when Ibehere comes back into the squad, I would imagine it will be in place of Amari on the bench.

  5. Many have deserved the stick. Neil Moore my word he couldn't stand up.... capt at Burnley later. Several have started with a game to remember ie Guy (in a pickle) Branson and just got worse. Oumiss Tonkara hasnt exactly proved himself yet the build for modern football.

Alan McNeil was a super player but did get stick. Ian Robins was a Warne type latics grafter but always got stick.

Some players have come and gone and hard to remember - Joe Colbeck..... and the one from Tranmere we paid money for whose name thankfully I forgot.

The ones that surprise more are players like my fav SimonStainrod, Alan Groves wasnt here as long as the memory believes. But worth it for the games they played.

    Wayne Gill?

  6. 22 quid is too much to pay for a club like ours. A floating fan is not going to pay that when they could spend that on a few drinks in the pub whilst watching City or United on the tele.

£18.00 should be the top price they have to pay, it's only 4 quid less but people would be a lot more receptive to it when they can get change out of a 20. They will still spend that extra bit of cash, just on other things like programme, strike it lucky, maybe a drink.

I think the crowds for the next few games are going to be very low, we are playing great football but people aren't going to see it at the current prices.

  7. My proposal for the return game. Make it 1 of our local offer games where we can have a deal for the home fans. The FL allow it so many times a season if i recall correctly. £1 kids £2 adults. Demand will then be there for 10000 home tickets especially if we're doing well. Rope 500 seats off for brizzle in small section.

Petty maybe but certainly deserved imho

If we are both still in the top 6 when we come to play them, i'd like to think we could get 8-9000 home fans paying full price lol...4 home games left with a real chance of promotion.

If we have fallen away and it looks likely we'll just have a top half or mid table finish then the 2 quid adult option would be top, although that would probably make a dull 1-0 defeat a certainty lol

  8. We have 2 home league games before Christmas against two very poorly away supported teams. Crawley & Yeovil! Surely, it's time for an offer to be put out to encourage a bigger crowd at both games.

Maybe could even add the JPT game into an offer to get the attendance for that a bit higher!

  9. Did you notice that every time he was picking himself off the floor, he had won us a free kick, which allowed us to get a decent set piece in and around their box.

That to me, contributed to an excellent all round performance from everyone. Every player played their part on Tuesday in their own way.

When he has the ball, he doesn't just have to bomb down the wing and put in a cross to be seen as having a good game.
