BRADFORD CITY: McCall set for transfer raid

Bradford City are weighing up a double swoop for Carlisle United outcasts Paul Arnison and Zigor Aranalde.

Bantams boss Stuart McCall, a close friend and former team-mate of Carlisle No 2 Greg Abbott, is understood to be among a number of League Two managers in the hunt for the full-back duo, who were released by United last month.

Oldham are also understood to be interested in veteran left-back Aranalde, while ex-Brunton Park chief Paul Simpson is reportedly keen on landing both players.

No Pools move for Keltie

DARLINGTON midfielder Clark Keltie is unlikely to be signing for Hartlepool United this summer.

Pools boss Danny Wilson is a fan of the Geordie, but he won’t be following up his interest by making a firm move.

Twelve months ago Wilson enquired about the possibility of signing Keltie, but the need for compensation to be paid to the Quakers scuppered his plans.

And now, despite the player being available on a free transfer, Keltie won’t be making the move down the A66.

Pools are well stocked in the midfield department, with Wilson having plenty of options at his disposal — including his sole summer signing to date, Alan Power from Nottingham Forest.

Power caught Wilson’s eye for Forest reserves against Pools last season and, while he may not be pitched straight into the first- team reckoning, the Irishman is viewed as a signing of some promise.

The last player Pools signed directly from Quakers was central defender Neil Aspin, who arrived in 2002.

Keltie has a number of options to consider, with Oldham in the driving seat for his signature.

Pools, who travel to Scunthorpe in the first round of the Carling Cup, have also been linked with moves for strikers Antony Elding of Leeds United, and Rob Snodgrass of Livingston

Inigo Idiakez from Southampton few Championship clubs after him but I believe this is going to be our wow signing..

We have enough sicknotes at the club no thanks..

Luke Chadwick is only 28 the player in question is in his thirty's I think also Djemba Djemba is 27.. Could well be Gillespie

Does Gillespie play down the left or right? also Crusoe is he a central midfield player or a winger? Mark Kennedy has been released.

Could it be Graham Kavanagh? On loan at Sheff Wed last season now back at Sunderland.

Ritchie Jones from United they always rated him better than his brother David who went for a million. A creative midfielder well worth taking on a free.

Livermore leaves Hull

David Livermore has left Hull City.

The former Millwall man has been allowed to leave the Premiership new-boys after coming off contract.

Anyone think we will be seing Liveromore back at Latics and more to the point would we want him back?

Only if it was like FM lol.. Cash in on Eardley now Wolves are interested sign Francis to replace Eardley and Bailey in midfield.

I think both these players will be Championship bound.

Southend have transfer listed Nick Bailey, Simon Francis and Peter Clarke maybe not Clarke but could we afford either Bailey or Francis both would be excellent additions.

Coventry and Norwich are in a bidding war for David Bell they have both had offers rejected so wouldnt have thought we could compete with that.

Matty Spring is the only one left worth taking but they would want a decent fee and he would want big wages.

Keith Keane isnt he a rightback? Eardley and Lomax unless Eardley goes.

Were has the talk of Luke Chadwick come from is this another friend of a friend rumour lol

I think that will be it for now maybe a permenant addition or two end of June early July on free's/out of contract, but I think we may see one or two season long loans just before season starts eary August once clubs have weighed up their squads.

That is what TTA are looking for at least 500k according to the Chron

Officials are aiming to tie up another deal at some point next week (O'Grady) and have irons in the fire for "two or three" other permanent moves.

Cant find any mention of this on the Donny boards or Yeovil boards.. Looks like he hasn't got a future at Donny shipped out to Yeovil on loan last season cant see them wanting a fee maybe another 30k job.

Apparently we have enquired about taking Lee Martin left winger on loan from Man Utd for the season. Had spells at Stoke, Plymouth and Sheff Utd.

Plymouth would like to take him again if the fail with a loan bid for Adam Hammil from Liverpool. Could well be the united player we are linked with and not Wallwork.

no chance a few clubs have looked at him and been put off by his wage demands and transfer fee including Watford.. Cant see Fergie letting him go on a free and if he does how much would he be earning over 5k i guess

Leon Constantine would be a very good addition would be surprised if it was him arriving this week though..
