if he builds on the Bury & in particular Carlisle performances
I thought he was shocking at Bury (as were most to be honest)
-
I think he has been very poor every time i have seen him! He has not even shown glimpses of being a decent player - i would have got rid when we could.
Having said that, maybe i am living in the past as to the quality of players i expect to see at BP!!!
-
From what i've seen of him, we hould have got rid!

singe - if you can forward fixtures to - *email address deleted*.
Cheers pal.

6th game unbeaten start of our promotion season I think!!
-
Excluding Cup finals and semi-finals, what's the largest away following we've ever taken? The largest I've known was probably at Everton, but I remember someone mentioning about taking 7000 to Barnsley once
-
Never ever will this happen!
-
Is this the so called big announcement?

Atherton LR.
I had 2 seasons at Crilly Park in early '90s

We got flights and 2 nights in the Novatel Frankfurt City - 5 - 10 mins from centre on tram for £200.00

Just come back from stag do last weekend. Great place. Loads of bars in area called Sachsenheusen (saxonheusen) all next to each other and all had great atmosphere with Eintracht Frankfurt on Tele. No trouble at all.

A waste of a dinner hour but here's a wallet-friendly sized fixture list for all.
Simply print, cut out and fold in half.

you must have been stood near me
And me - probably half way Up left side of chaddy.
Remember going to return leg on one of Latics coaches and it dropped us right outside the Boleyn pub mid afternoon for a 7.30 kickoff! Pretty scary stuff after a 6-0 drubbing!

First day of the season we beat Wolves 3-2, I say Marshall scored 2 and Ritchie scored the other, my mate says Marshall got a hat trick, who is right ? cheers guys
And a certain Steve Bull scored both Wolves Goals.
One of those days that still gets talked about.

It got cancelled, get over it!
Club does not need to apologise to fans - the referee inspected the pitch and made the decision, not the club, yes we asked for the inspection but we didnt call it off, the referee did after he told the FL about his findings and they gave him permission to call it off.
We might not like the fact that it was called off, i certainly didnt, but the club didnt call it off, the referee did.
The club asked for the early inspection! All we want to know is why when the forecast was for something of a vast improvement in temperatures!
-
Using skills of english comprehension, I inferred from the official site article linked to in this thread that the decision was taken so early so as to prevent Swindon embarking on a wasted journey. Surely whether we would have incurred any of their travel costs is irrelevant?
Why do people think we are being facetious for wanting to know why we were called off 26 or 27 hours before kick off when the forecast was for quite substantial temperature increases. Should we be worried about the Swindon team - who by the way could still have travelled after a saturday morning inspection, having a wasted overnight journey - i don't think so!
-
to what end?
To what end - what? I am merely asking the question why the decision was taken so early! If the pitch inspection was Sat am, the game would probably have been on. If it is because we have to pay some of Swindons costs if it gets postponed after they have travelled, then fine - but should somebody be telling us that was the reason!
-
After all the bad feeling and trying to second guess the reasons for the EARLY postponement of Saturdays fixture, the least i would have expected was an early Monday morning explanation on the official website as to why the decision was made so early! I may be wrong , but i'm pretty sure that if the decision had been left till Sat am, the game would have been on! Does anybody else feel the same?

Just had text from club. Definately off tomorrow. Gutted!!

Two for me.
Went to Derby, mid 80's on Sully's coach. Called off at chippy on way home and it 'ended up on fire!' . Police stopped us and it took forever to get home.
The other was obviously the QF v Southampton in the Littlewoods cup run. Went down on official Latics Liner (train) but with no ticket as it wasn't all ticket game. Went in pub only 100 yds from ground, and then found out Southampton opened some of our away end to their fans. Hundreds and hundreds locked out. Went back to pub and landlord said we'd equilised when we hadn't, needless to say the place got absolutely wrecked! Got in the ground for last couple of mins when they opened the gates to let southampton fans out - just in time to see Stitches second equiliser - amazing day! My pal got arrested that day, and had to go back to court in Southampton, and we then just made it back for the FA Cup replay at Goodison Park
