  1. My major concern with it is that we are moving right into City country. A decent size support of latics fans comes from Royton, Shaw, Derker, Even going in to Rochdale, Kirkholt etc, but this move would take us away from them. MCFC backed by the arabs are only going to gain support and trying to pinch fans from them will be impossible. It'll also stop people from a few from the above places from going to games (not many admitedly). I think we are moving out of our heartland of support into an area we wont attract floaters from.

    BUT.....

I'm pleased we have a board who seem genuinely motivated to keep us going as best as they can.

agree 100%...i cant see us gaining extra fans moving nearer to mcfc.but in the the end its the product on the pitch

    that will increase supporters

  2. Club legend. Stuck around when things were hard in 2003/04, great player, helped keep us up in 99. Fantastic performances

And as a manager I'll never forget -

Leeds away (twice), Everton away, Hudds away (3-0), Forest home and away in his first season, Leicester away, winning 5 out of 5 at the start to this season.

Thanks for the memories. Deserves a standing ovation when / if he ever returns. I know I will stand and clap him.

    All the best

Not saying I'd have kept him / I'm 50:50 on that. Just think its important we remember him properly.

great post..yep it was right to go..but lets not forget what he has given to this club over the years

  3. Great servant to the club, as player, as coach, but out of his depth it seems.I am gutted

    great servant for the club

but his inexperiance is being exposed now

i personally think he lost the dressing room ages ago

HIS player arent performing for HIM

  4. After another piss poor performance. I've been going through the current playing squad to find the problems & I've come up with the following summary of the players. From the 19 matches we have played from the start of December we've won just 5 !! I know we've only lost 5 as well, but drawing that many games isn't acceptable. Am afraid Shez has to go the performances are poor, very poor on occasions. He's lost the dressing room & his signings haven't perfomed overall, or he just hasn't given them the chance!!! Plus way too many loanees, has there ever been a successful team of loanees??? I can't think of one. As much as I love Oldham if Shez is in charge next season, I'll really have to think about renewing my season ticket because am really not enjoying going to BP at the min, but I just don't trust Shez to improve the squad qith any money he's given!! Which would mean much of the same crap am getting at the moment.

  5. Hughes never looked interest, too busy thinking about his huge signing on fee in the summer at Doncaster.

thats the problem....none of them even looked interested tonight.......since december hughes & taylors form has dipped

as they both probably thought they where going to get a big pay day in the january window

i dont mind seeing us lose but where was the effort interest & enthusiasm

  6. Just had a call from the Daily Express - my husband has won 2 tickets to the Emirates tomorrow night, and as a special guest of the Champions League promotion he has to carry a flag out onto the pitch in a Gunners kit. We also think there is a meal, and corporate seats. Am still shaking - will of course miss the latics match against bristol, but how could we turn these down, and another ground to add to the tally. Look out for him on ITV4, anyone who tunes in! And here's to three points against Rovers tomorrow.

congrats to you both...hope we all have a great evening ......wherever we may be....:-)
