I was in the camp that thought we'd be better off keeping Gerrard and getting rid of Clarke on the pitch.
However, in hindsight I think this year's team has been a lot more together off the pitch. I think the absence of Gerrard is a significant factor in that. A few other players too, with a few of the newer lads being good for morale to enhance it.
The cliques we saw last year helped relegate us and I think Gerrard was a significant part of that. Do we stay up if Gerrard plays most of the games he missed after Bury, I think so, or even if he admitted his injury before Bury. Do we stay up if Clarke stays, I think so. Do we stay up if Maouche plays more games, I think so- he's proven his value this season. The same for Nepomuceno.
There are a lot of factors that helped relegate us last season, a lot of which can be laid at the feet of our former owner. Clarke being shipped out on loan isn't one of them.
In hindsight given the amount of games Gerrard actually played and the dross signed with the money saved (Benyu) compared with what we already had available, do I think we were better keeping Gerrard, no.
Easy to forget the 2 seasons when Gerrard helped up stay up though isn’t it.

Iron on badge looks nasty and likely to cost £60 as more or less the same as Rangers

I’d say more off a kerb that’s been lowered to allow you to park on your drive

Bit deflated about the Exeter game after spending 10 hours travelling there and back , watching the 2nd half you wouldn't have thought we had a chance of making the playoffs.. complete different team came out for the last 45mins... To me they looked as if they were playing for a point.. and the subs I was completely baffled by why Pete Wild waited so long to make them... anyway what do I know im just a supporter ?
That 2nd half was on a par with Northampton away last season no issue with losing but at least give it a go.

What's the trust's next move if he doesn't respond in a timely manner?
Can't wait forever so I assume there is a plan? Apologies in advance if I've missed it.

Yes it’s pay day, no idea if they have been paid
Dan Gardner having a pop on Twitter now doesn’t sound like he’s been paid.

I was thinking this too.
Not a chance such a meeting will happen and I’m not overly arsed if it doesn’t. It’s clear to all he’s not that type.
Just more pound of flesh nonsense...
Let’s just sit back and do nothing then

Macclesfield was the one that convinced me we would do fuck all. A good days drinking ruined by 11 leg irons.
Forest Green away was the one for me

I can never understand why other people think we live in the past.

I see Tops Off or Top On whatever he calls himself now missed his first game since 2013 last night according to Twitter and has now been banned by the club for all home games , it’s been coming for a while now.

No I want one with ambition to do better than just exist

I’d rather spend 50 years in League 1 than another second in League 2

I lost interest as soon as he said he’s not bothered if we don’t go up.

O’grady should be starting as well

Interesting listen 11 mins from end on his time at Oldham refers to fans as cockroaches and living in the past.

I think he's improved a little but i dont see us creating anything with a central paring of sylla and Missilou. A central 3 is the only way i see us playing both as it stands so then branger out... Lang out wide and just o grady up top
He spent the first half jogging from left to right in the centre circle second half he looked a better player still would prefer Fane playing in the middle as he breaks play up better than Ya Ya
