  1. My company is happy to pay the full £200 Chaddy - let me know what you need!!!

    www.lawc.co.uk - swild@lawc.co.uk - just drop me a line -

......or might be better to PM me for security reasons and I'll give you my Telephone Number!!

  2. It was a, frankly, embarrassing 1st half performance when, apart from the opening 5 minutes, and the 45th minute Furman shot, we played the worst Ive seen all season (I missed the S'oton game thankfully). Their left winger (21 - Marsh-Brown) tore us a new one EVERY time he got the ball, and their entire team seemed like world beaters compared to us. Only AMOS's brilliance prevented a battering. When the whistle went for Half Time, the relief was almost overpowering.

Couple of things happened in the second half.

Firstly, MK switched the wingers - couldnt understand why, and 21 faded badly. We also began to play with a little more confidence and it was a much fairer contest. PD must have given'em a severe talking to at HT. Taylor's flying header at a corner could even have won it near the end - it just hit their keeper - he didn't actually save it. In fact, the 2nd half (last 5 minutes withstanding) was quite enjoyable.

Staing the obvious tho... we gotta start scoring.... SOON!!!

  3. In my opinion - and it's all about opinions, I thought Pav was a class act until his operation - aftrer which he looked more and more disinterested. I think if we got some money and freed up high wages then its a decent move. His pre-season suggested that nothing much had changed from the end of last season and so far, we seem to have played ok without him.

  4. Lets see which player has the most excuses for being poor / average.

Lewis Alessandra must lead the field here after the last couple of replies - aw poor lad has no confidence - yawn!!!!!! He can either play or he can't. Before I can recognise a player as being "Good", he must have had a consistant run in the team and performed noticeably well - in a similar manner in fact to Chris Taylor the season before last. Alessandra has played no more than 4 or 5 good games for us, Eaves has played in 1 (and a friendly at that).

Under "my" criteria, Eaves and Alessandra (although lesser so the latter as he has been around for a while now) fall mainly in the "has potential" category, but still have a long long way to go to move into the "Good" or great category.

My conclusion is, if we are offered good money for either player, (or more realistically, good money for Eaves) then we should take it. Good money for a player that can't be guaranteed a regular place and has had one great match is an offer too good to be refused ......

  5. OMFG, One good game - and a friendly at that. Every competitive game I've seen him in, he's been decidely average. He's obviously got some potential, but some peeps on here need a reality check. I can remember Lewis Alessandra getting a hatrick and taking all the plaudits after the Scunthorpe game the season before last - he's hardly been ripping up trees since. C'mon guys, sort it out.

  7. Thank all that is holy for that!!

At the end of the day, I don't mind when my team loses, as long as I can take a couple of positives out of the loss, but this year has been a test of gigantic proportions. Attending games KNOWING we weren't going to score, the 3 Leeds 0-2 debacles, the 100% negative tactics, the demoralising of our better players so that they have become unrecognisable, the week on week shrinkage of our fanbase and the complete contempt he seemed to hold the fans in.

Amen - Sorry it didn't work - time to rebuild. STARTING ON SATURDAY!

  8. Just thought of this superb possibility. Would be a cheap appointment, someone who has been around the club for many years and has the respect of everyone within it. Knows the club and the game inside out, he's a fans favourite, and would surely fight with passion and energy to maintain the club survive. When successful we could possibily even give him a full season next year to take us to the play-offs, a cheap opition all ways.

It could be a bit risky bringing him in at such a crunch time, but i'm sure he's been in this position before to have enough knowledge and experience to keep us up.

Ive been on these forums a while now, and seen numerous posts from you. I've yet to see one that makes one iota of sense. Although I'm sure you thrive on the attention of responses such as this, I ask, nay, beg, please keep your ridiculous thoughts and opinions to yourself to save me from having to read similar diatribe in future.....

  9. My 1st game was v Orient in 1974. I was in one of the old blue 'executive boxes'.The only decent part of the game was a young black player called Laurie Cunningham - indeed, othere than the result, that was all I remembered about the game. It's a wonder I ever came back - but the magical 1-0 against Utd on Boxing Day of the same year was my 2nd game.... and the rest is history :)

  10. I'd just like to say:

On what planet does booing, swearing and gesticulating at your own players help the player, the team or other fans ?

If a player already short of confidence is going to get a barrage of boos from their own fans, fear of making a mistake is only going to contribute to another one. Either get behind the team or for God's sake, shut up and keep quiet.

  11. This is a mistake, lets hope there aren't too many more.

In alot games where we have played badly this season, Gregan has come out of them with his reputation in tact. Like most players, he had the odd off game, but they were few and far between. He was solid on the ball and in the air, and wouldn't allow opposing players to take any liberties. Yes he moaned now and again, and gave the odd player a mouthful, but every team needs one of those.

I haven't seen any defenders at this level I would rather have in the team - even Joe stipulated that we wouldn't find a better player at this level.

I'm hoping I'm proved wrong, and still trying to KTF.

So far, every piece of news we get from BP is disappointin me - Give me something to look forward to..... PLEASE!

  12. Joe Royle loves the club- whats happened in his 2nd spell???

We all know that managers coming back dont work

Joe Royle's 2nd spell really hung on one game: Tranmere at home- as soon as we lost, the club waved the white flag and started making cuts. Joe was given the thankless task of trying to steady an already sinking ship. There was no motivation for the players, they too knew the dream was over - and this wasn't down to Joe.

To say that Joe's spell hasn't worked is a flawed statement, it was never given a chance to work. In hindsight, if it WAS going to work, it would hve been better to sack Shez at the end of the season, and appoint Joe in the close season. This would have sold more tickets and allowed Joe to create a squad he was happy with. But hindsight is a wonderful thing....

Ritchie was NEVER given a proper chance to manage the club, bringing him back would give him the chance to put that right.

Instead of contantly criticising and offering the usual football cliches, ie. "managers coming back dont work" why not offer a constructive appraisal and maybe an alternative solution ?

LETS TRY TO MAKE A POSITIVE OUT OF THIS NEGATIVE - LETS FACE IT, IT'S WELL NEEDED!!!!

  13. I don't understand why the guy protested at Andy Ritchie.

The guy is a hero, so will get a guaranteed 'honeymoon' period (something I have a feeling we may need in abundance next year).

He genuinely loves the club, unlike some other mercenaries and journeymen. The fans will appreciate that!

He was sacked for ridiculous reasons by the chairman that tried to kill us off.

He got Barnsley promoted with little money and was sacked for not spending - so he has a proven track record, knows the division and would have plenty of repect from the players.

So - WHATS WRONG WITH STITCH ?
