  1. thats a great idea.....however you would need to buy them in plenty of time to get them mailed out to you...or simply take your reciept to the club shop on match day and get your ticket...

the point of the outlets is in response to people finding it difficult to get to the club during the week...

one thought...what price are the tickets being sold at £18 or £20 ???

On sale up to day before game so all at £18 except Main Stand Lower which is £17. Kids tickets available too (But not in main stand)

  2. Surname, postcode and House number would take all of 10 seconds - get the data from the start. Saves a job in the future imo. A little pro-activity goes a long way in any business…no offence and nothing personal but the easy option is why the club finds itself in such a mess.

Couldnt agree more but as tickets through OCL will be registered on their till system and this is a totally new concept we want to get the selling bit right first before we ask them to record additional details etc. Should this idea work then we would develop over the summer to capture data and look at how we market this to OCL customers and try and do some moer joined up work... Our Season Ticket holders and their Gym members!

Not taking a shortcut just want to get the basics right and see if selling tickets works first.

  3. Cheers

Difficult I guess, but is there any way of identifying if they are completely new buyers of tickets or just ones choosing the closer points?

We have gone for the easy option initially of just selling the tickets without getting additional details. If this proves to be worthwhile then we can look at capturing peoples data and exploring other opportunities (ie Merchandise?)

  4. Anything like that is great – promote OLDHAM ATHLETIC in OLDHAM areas. Just makes sense....

It surely can’t help to have an increased area to target for tickets – if just 20 people buy tickets that they wouldn’t have done previously due to these new access points; then it’s been a success. Is there a plan in place to track the take up – are the tickets marked differently in these new outlets so the club can see how they are doing??

We will know from systems in place what tickets have been bought from which centres so that we can get allocations correct going forward.

  5. Tickets

Something like this should have been done years ago, a begrudging well done for finally distinguishing your arse from your elbows. Publicise it now and make sure the Sports Centre employees know about it and can answer relevant questions, not simply stare blankly at you!

Sports centre staff at the 4 sites have the info they need and we will be placing posters up at all 4 sites.

Thanks to OCL for the support... lets hope people use the service!

Next season... tickets and merchandise? Thoughts?

  6. Tenth booking is two game ban.. but doesn't it get re-set after some point in the season?

(iv) If a Player accumulates ten cautions in FTCM between the opening day of the Playing Season and the second Sunday of April in the same Season, he will be suspended automatically for a period covering:- Two First Team matches

  7. Nice thought but they are unlikely to provide funding due to

    a) the amount we would require

    B) their stipulation that "the activity will not result in personal/private benefit"

    Also

    Who cannot apply for funding

The following are not eligible to receive support:

    • Individuals.

    • Private businesses.

    • Organisations that we believe are in a poor financial position or whose

financial management systems are not in good order. We will base our

opinion on an organisation’s financial position and management systems, an

analysis of their accounts, other management information and interviews with

    the organisation itself.

  9. Anyway, so we movin to failsworth or not?

Yes! There will need to be a resubmission on the proposal of transfer of land to the Charities Commission. Not ideal and will take more time but ultimately they have not given an outright No... Just a No based on the information they were given. Hiopefully the Council will take on baord the feedback from the CC and undertake a more robust and transparent process next time.

Reading between the lines the door is not closed yet.

Look at Brighton and how look it took there ground plans to develop. Slightly different case but shows with perseverance what can be acheived!

  10. Perhaps mention it to those who are leaving sixth form/college this year, as they might not be interested into going to uni?

I might have been interested if i had known about it earlier :(

We have only just finalised the details to start in January!

It will be ongoing so if it is something you may want to do in the future the opportunity will still be there.

  11. Doubt their will be to much interest at this time.. if this was mentioned to year 11's and people completing their A-levels in the middle of their final year might have got more interest..

We will be mentioning to Year 11s later as this will be an ongoing program.

More thinking of those that maybe finished last year, decided against college and not been able to find a job? Already had sign ups just thought some on here may know someone or maybe interested themselves.

Would prefer to have Latics fans if possible!
