and that my friend is where you are wrong...
the fact is simple,if the rugby plays at boundry park, regular then it cuts the pitch up and come those soggy cold winter days and nights,it turns the pitch into a mudbath, which is hardly recommended for free flowing passing football...which at the end of the day,is what bp has always been used for and always will.its all very well saying the rugby would pay rent...but i personally would rather have nothing from them, and keep a very decent pitch that we have for football...

Chris Hamilton is holding a fans forum on the 16th of August to talk about the ground situation for Oldham Rugby, my guess is that Oldham RL will be back at BP soon.
I'm a fan of both clubs, even if I had no interest in rugby I still wouldn't have a problem with it. Latics get money through rent, Roughyeds have a good place to play, everybody is happy.
aye
i heard Hamilton was gonna make a statement last night about it
-
the Roughyeds will be groundsharing
-
so the council have bought the Failsworth site and given us £5.7m for a stand?
or the Failsworth site money is part of the £5.7m?
if its the latter we have ended up with virtually nothing for a new Lookers?
-
be happy and lucky sincere wishes to all tics present and past....bp hahahahahaah
good night was it?
-
Stockport messageboard says it's between Plymouth and County.
Family in the West Country and league football will probably make it Plymouth.
But who really cares?!!
exactamundo, as long as hes off our wage bill who cares where he ends up
-
the council have ''acquired'' the Lancaster Club site, does that mean they have bought it?
if so, money will then go to Blitz and Gazal, which is why the figures are wrong which is what Corney said in that interview
-
15,000 would be more than enough, we struggled to fill 13,500 in three seasons in the Championship in the mid-90s….
its about ambition, wheres Corporal again?
-
Where the lookers once was will probably be the new 'main stand' with the facilities in.
Shave 7k off your capacity and thats probably a bit closer to what we are going to get.
wasnt the capacity 16k, with the original new stand plans?
around the same estimated cost wasnt it?
-
you just wanted to tell everyone you was on holiday really didnt you
-
I'm on my phone, so no prooning. I'll just delete the lot if you all start this :censored: again!
-
yeh the coloured lad scored at Mossley
-
from the Chron
'the new deal, which includes a £700k stadium redevelopment grant'
'the council will aquire the Lancaster club and the lease of the Chapel Road playing fields'
'it is proposed the council develop the land to boost the boroughs economy, plans could include a high profile leisure based regeneration scheme'
-
If I'm not mistaken, Oldham's mail gets sorted in the same building these days!
it does yeh
Hamilton St is just a delivery office now
-
What bigger picture? The football dosnt play there. They played about 7 matches there they spent nearly two seasons playing at Atherton LR. Now there not even semi pro because of it all. All I'm saying is Leigh is a bad example
-
Doncaster
Hudds
Leigh
Wigan
and them
some people are more bothered about the 'state of the pitch' rather than play in the same ground as the most succesful team in this town, might be an age thing eh
-
Said all along, the key to truly getting both the council and the townsfolk fully on board is a dual use stadium with community facilities - like at Leigh….
like Hull
-
lets hope the rugby are still involved with his ''unfinished business''
-
Nolan's going to kick arse in the championship this year!
all added
bit pricey though isnt he? need a bit of tinkering to afford Nolan
-
dont all rush at once like last year
better than the premier league one IMO
can a mod pin it please

Can't remember who was resident at Golden. But John Kelly is one of my favourite DJs and I have his Slinky Resident cd. When we were in Ibiza in 2001 my mate got chatting to him at some bar in San An....got a photo with him and he signed his passport. That was the first DJ to sign the passport...11 years later and pretty much every Trance DJ you can think of has signed it.
IIRC, John Kelly is a Scouser and a proper wreck-head.
scouser yeh, he opened a club with James Barton in Liverpool before he opened Cream
when i think of John Kelly i think of Golden for some reason, top drawer Kelly

crucial stand between Mahmood and Hogg

We were probably at a lot of the same nights then....Cream @ Nation quite a lot 99 - 01/02, Creamfields x 2, a few Cream NYE inc 2000 at Pierhead, Leeds Love Parade and Newcastle Love Parade, Godskitchen in Brum and Leeds Town Hall, Gatecrasher (Sheffield and NEC, Brum), Golden @ Void in Stoke and their events in Mcr (some place off Oxford Rd ?), Sankys, plus other lesser-known clubs in Blackpool, Halifax (Tube?), Bolton (that :censored: one where Nigel Benn played?), Nottingham...never been MOS though.
Thinking about coming out of retirement for Armin at Warehouse Project 30th Sept. She'd go mad, though !
yeh we got stuck in Bolton when our minibus didnt turn up one night, cant remember what it was called, i remember going to Southport one year, like a mini love parade but nowhere near the scale of roundhay park didnt go to the cream NYE ones didnt fancy paying the price, ended up in nemesis in Rochdale instead
ministry was after Millwall away when they won the league 2001 i think, i think Bournemouth away was in the same season and we ended up in Slinky
i thought golden was a top club, nice and small, wasnt John Kelly residant there?
