He's always going to be up against two big centre halves - surely it's time to recognise that he is a luxury we can't afford at the moment. An dispassionate analysis of his contribution to the game today leaves only one conclusion - an 'impact player he may be but over 90 minutes we need to give someone else a chance.

Fair point - especially the bit about it not really working out for us tonight. Teams like us should use the squad system to replace first choice players if injured or banned (or when competing in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy) not in games in which we have a real chance of winning and progressing to a potentially money-spinning third round.

Who in their right minds prefers the team that got us to 8th last season over the team that got us to 1st this season? Are we already 'concentrating on the league'?
