  1. I guess the one thing to be positive is that without most of the team from last season it should remove the negative parts of our team allowing the manager to totally rebuild. We have a decent youth setup and would love to see more come through. The manager can come in with X amount of wages and not need ot look to shed anyone I guess.

Trying to find some positive as i think the Shez leaving destroyed any positivitiy i did have

  2. I have to agree that Mellor got caught out a couple of times, but he wont develop without getting games in that position. Thought Derby were comfortable in the second half, and that Sammon wouldve been a handful for any experienced defender.

For me the ref was too visible tonight, on this occasion we was too much of him.

Anyone see how close Montano's shot was to going in? Thought he shoudlve leathered it myself but that might be why im not a footballer

  3. Maybe the boy in number picture one came out as a red :censored:e but will go home buzzin and become a blue? Its like an intervention :) Jose looks trim, picture may have been stretched though ;) cracking turn out that though! My first thought was "a fiver for a picture F that" but looking at the set up looks like its an easy way to keeo a proper fan/(big)kid happy. Successful day all round. Hope nobody told Mellor they thought he was :censored:e at CB!

    Roll on satuday

  4. Thought we held the ball pretty well and passing was decent on the whole, just the final third was sometimes overplayed.

I feel that the wingers in the first half were more effective and would love to see them paired up with the strikers from the second half (Sid & Montano out wide, with Charlie Mac and JCH).

Good to see so many players capable of playing in midfield and what looks like good quality.

Thought Smith got involved a lot more when Wes went off too.

Connor Brown didnt seem to do much wrong to me, so maybe he has an injury.

Agree that Mellor has a lot to learn about playing CB, not that I can talk as I am a keeper.

Now, I am not bad mouthing Baxter as he scored and made some good runs and passes, but I felt we were more creative up front when he moved out wide (out of the way) allowing the CM to be more creative. Hoping we arent building a team around a formation that limits the team.

Not unhappy, but not inspired, in saying that it was a friendly, despite their fullbacks putting some aweful tackles in. Their number 2 was dirty, but also put in some excellent blocks.

  5. Think it's important that people are aware that players can see this, seeing as I followed a tweet which was posted to him. Need to support all players, especially our young talent. After watching the documentary Clark Carlisle put together on depression I urge anyone to have a think before criticising, as small as it may be to you, to someone growing in confidence it could be the nock that puts them back down.

  6. Happy with this, always liked him, he is a skillful player but hopefully the pre season will bulk him up a bit. Think he will give Brown a run for his money. One theme for next season I think, will be the frings youth players who have shown promise in the past but never broke through will have a chance. They must show desire but its somethind we have all wanted, a group of young hungry players who want to battle for their place.

Worried we have little experience but optamistic over what our new coaching team can draw from these players.

    Roll on next season
