  1. Your right, his first game tonight for us and for a while I would suspect. You could tell that he had played Full Back before. He had flashes of being able to get forward and he showed some pace.

One thing in football is constant, things change daily, if we dont sign this lad there are hundreds out there who are available.

Gutted, couldnt update my standing order as its due out tomorrow, so once its out, i will up it to £10 a month instead of £5!

  2. What I thought we lacked were 2 things.

    1) Lack of seniority

    2) Lack of shots (sonfidence to shoot)

I didnt get to saturdays game due to holiday, and was suprised tonight to see Tounkara dropped to the bench. I though when he and the new lad (not sure of his name - played right mid) came on we looked more dangerous than we had all game. Maybe on saturday if Jones isnt fit he should start. He made a blinding tackle to stop them going 2 up.

I'm all up for a nice attractive passing game, but we need to shoot to be able to score.

Team for saturday (depending on severity of Rubes and Jarretts injuries)

    Brill

    Lee

Rubes (if not him then McDonald)

Jarrett (if not him then Mvoto by deafault)

    Black

    Dikaba

    Furman

    Stephens

    Taylor

    Tounkara

    DJ Bembo

Keep up the passing but ffs SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!

  3. Don't mess with a winning formula!!!

But they didnt win the last one, but, Feeney. Again, Dickov has said many times he sees him as the main goal getter this year. Either way we will win 3 - 1

Goals from Tounkare (think thats how its spelt), Feeney will open his account and then one from M'Voto, from a corner.

    Come one you bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeesssaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

  4. I'm still too gutted to offer much of an objective view at the moment, but I think the above is fair comment, and Reuben Hazell had his customary impressive game against us.

Taking nothing away from you - you did a job and were clearly the better team on the day - but we do seem to be in some disarray, and I am far from convinced that Enoch Showumni is the answer to our lack of punch up front. As for Ian Thomas Moore, I was disappointed to see him rise to the bait yesterday. It's a bit like us with Sean Thornton - when we give him dogs abuse and he responds, we know we have him rattled.

Anyway, I'm off to lick my wounds, but may pop back when I've calmed down! :disappointed:

In all fairness, I didnt think Showumni was that bad, made a nuicence of himself, should have scored that header at the start but with the right wing play, you could do well up front. As for Ian "Thomas" Moore, he played well, but like you say, rose to it. I do however think that if 1700 people were calling my mum a whore, id probably rise to it, although he probably agrees about his dad!

  5. Have faith in Dean Brill. He is brimming with confidence, which may get shot to :censored: once the "fans" start booing him. I will admit his positioning for a couple of free kicks last season was rubbish. However, he has been solid in pre season, very vocal and seems to have the full support of our management team. Think he is being trained better and smarter by Gerrard too.

There must be something Flemming i doing wrong if managers keep wanting rid of him.

Anyways, lets back Brill. The keeper sees the whole game from his box and can play a massive part in organizing the defence. There is a lot to be said for a keeper not having a lot of saves to make as he has managed to orchestrate the defence into minimising the chances on goal. We have already seen his haid go when he gets boo'd so we need really need to keep his head up.

  6. Isnt it time that the "when should penney go?" pole was taken off the fornt page of the message board?

Sorry to all those hoping for anything interestig, i should have put the above in the sub header so people didnt have to open it

  7. Highlight of the last 5 seasons to be honest.

I think we need to look to a player who will stay with us, someone to love the club and someone who the fans love. Gregan is the nearest thing we have to a legend these days.

Not likely to get any legends if we keep loaning players

see link if you missed the appearance

  8. oh dear..

    moaning about a striker shooting?

you must aswell moan at brill for keepin a clean sheet..

Am all for strikers shooting <removed>, my point is that if he had thought about it, he could have played someone in. Also this post has nothing to do with Brill. I am a fan of Parker, he does know where the net is, as he found on Tuesday night. A strikers job is not only to shoot though.

Anyway it doesnt matter really, look on to saturday

  9. While he should have passed with the chance where he tried to recreate Tuesday night's goal, I'm very reluctant to criticise a forward who has the confidence to shoot when he's created a good opening.

I was more peeed off with the 1 v 1 miss in the first half.

Yup, I agree, he should have netted. But trying to score with the outside of your boot when you have men queueing up to buy a pull back pass!
