Hillstones are victime of the global credit crunch (some might say they deserve it) they are building far too many apartments, houses etc, nobody is buying houses or apartments anymore, so after a large outlay of capitol to build these apartments and houses they now have a serious cashflow problem. The same thing happend to Ashdene and Windsor back in 1991 when I was an apprentice there!

Thought he was a City fan, I think he come's from Oldham though, I remember him reporting on the riots and saying how he grew up in Oldham.

I am sorry to say this and I am not one of the so called Boo Boy's. Davies in the first half was awful as was the rest of the team until Taylor scored! I am glad he changed his boots at half time, he played much better once he ditched the Orange boots.

We should have started with Lomax in as left back. But I suppose that because he has signed Livermore he now has to play him.

The second half was better but we were still poor today. On a plus point I though Jarrett's shot that hit the crossbar was very unlucky not to go in, Goal of the season I think that would have been

Oi. Having resided in many places North; South; East and West, I can assure you that Darlington is one of the nicest towns that I have had the pleasure to live in. 100k population and surrounded by vast swathes of green fields on all sides.

 

I agree that Reynolds is a, .........well let's just say egomaniac and it was very funny to see the "Reynolds Arena" signs ripped down very shortly after completion!

I agree with you, I stayed in Co Durham for a year whilst on a contract there, i too thought it was a great place to live, Having worked all over the world, and most of the UK I can honestly say Co Durham is one place that I felt at home! (I wasn't slagging Darlo at all)

You can add George Reynolds to this post as well, multi millionaire ex safe cracker turned good, he owned a kitchen worktop company in the north east, as well as construction firms etc etc.

He bought Darlington FC and promised them Premier League football inside 4 years, built them a fantastic new 25000 seater stadium (with planning to build it into a 60000 seater stadium for the premiership) He even tried to sign Tino Asprilla who took on one look at Darlington and was never seen in the north east again! He then took the team into administration and bankrupted himself! He ended up back in prison for money laundering!!!

Great owner!!! and we thought we had it bad with Chris Mo**e!

also while I am on my soap box, why dont the so called singing section of the chaddy end sing for the whole 90 mins, instead of coming on here and saying its not our fault! We have always had a goood away support and a home support it's just the way it is!!

We are not a premiership club anymore and have not been for a long time (I was there when we where and am still here now) it's about time we stopped thinking we are a top class football club because we are not! And get on and support the players we do have, if it means we slate the players from time to time then ok, why not? we pay 15-20£ a week to watch the that is being produced at the moment. and we are entitled to our opinion!!!

I tell you Mr Shankley where the Ego comes from! from my point of view, When NK was first on loan at Latics, he was staying with some friends of my family for the duration of his stay, I was fortunate enough to be able to go to Latics end of season party, and was introduced by friends daughter to NK who was a complete arrogant big headed toward myself and her, and all because he was stood with a couple of youth team players. At the same do I was introduced to quite a few of the other players who I can honestly say were very civil and approchable!

 

As for on the pitch I'm sure we will need to replace him quickly as we will miss some of his passing ability, but at least it will give somebody else a chance to take Free Kicks, Corners etc! he thinks he is Super Footballer the way he struts around on the pitch. Good Riddance
