  1. If you are a Christian then you will know that Christians have zero requirements regarding the way an animal is slaughtered.

While it might not sit comfortably with your "personal" beliefs it dose not in ANY way conflict your Christian beliefs...

Yes I know what your saying, but the thought of some imam praying in Arabic to so call clean the meat so that I can eat it somehow makes me feel part of that religions worship, not something I can buy into I`m afraid. Like I said it is my pesonal belief and no doubt there are others like me.

  2. Specifically catered for ahead of Christians... Point out what is on the menu which I can not eat ?

Its not about putting Christians second... Its about expanding the number of people who can eat together....

I find it funny that so many people bang on about "Christians" being left out when the majority of you are clearly want nothing to do with Christianity... If myself as a practising Christian is fine with this then why do non practising Christians have a problem and talk about how Christians are being discriminated against. Its bonkers :)

As you keep repeating :) Your welcome to your opinion :)

As a Christian myself and one against ritual slaughter, why should I eat meat slaughtered this way to appease a religious minority in country where the majority is Christian ? It doesn`t sit very comfortably with my beliefs.

  3. Good article on the ritual slaughter of meat here, http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article...al-slaughter.do

Personally I don`t use any establishment using these methods, I do eat meat as is my choice but what I find hard to take is the fact that unwitting customers are eating halal meat without knowing the full facts. It seems a case of ah well they wont notice anyhow which in some small point is what Max maybe getting at as well as the bacon issue.

  4. What you said proves my point.

I know the history and ethnic mix of Britain’s ancestry and our ethnic makeup but my point was that Nick Griffin was shot down for trying to say this especially when he used the term indigenous.

The counter argument they gave was that we are all from Africa so what is indigenous it doesn’t exist in Britain.

Well if that’s how they determine the term indigenous now and Africa is the starting point then will they now go and explain it too the aborigines or the North American Indians?

My query is at what starting point do you become indigenous?

Its my concern that the way they bullied him tonight and were pedantic to his statements however eccentric radical and false they may be will only add to his support from those voting out of dismay.

The Aborigines of Australia can be traced back 50,000 years and the North American Indians some 10,000 years, Australia has always been an island whereas once upon a time the bearing strait didn`t exist and was joined to the far end of Russia.

Very fascinating subject and one which will always raise many questions.

  5. Arsenal did outclass Celtic but that was to be expected. Both goals at Parkhead were lucky. Gallas deflection could have gone anywhere. Caldwell's sliding tackle into his own net could of done the same. Two strokes of luck that firmly handed the tie into Arsenal's favour.

Last night Celtic did very well up until that penalty. Infact there was a good ten minute spell where they were on top and Arsenal couldnt find their footing. Blatant dive and an utter disgrace. Hopefully the FA take action against him.

Cant fault Arsenal though. Different class. There's only really Boruc and McGeady of similar quality in the Celtic line up IMO.

Money is the key difference. All these people who go on about how poor the Scottish Prem must be. It is poor but when you look at the difference in money - then it's not suprising. The SPL doesnt have the same pull it did in the 90's, when alot of the England side saw themselves making their way to Ibrox to ply there trade.

If Rangers and Celtic had the same amount of money as the English clubs did - then there'd be a few years of consolidating their status and building up a squad. Both clubs are bigger than most Premiership clubs - Bigger fanbase, better stadium, more history.

The fact both of these clubs have been in the Uefa Cup final since the turn of the millenium shows just what they're all about.

As for Andy going on about missiles being thrown - I dont think Rangers are in any position to take the moral high ground about a few bottles being lobbed after their actions in May. I noticed one being lobbed last night after the penalty incident but never heard or saw of one in the Parkhead game. Infact Arsenal and Celtic fans got on with one another. As for the IRA chanting - Yes there was some last night. Infact there was some at one stage when the camera's were clearly panned on the Celtic fans. There is a sizeable following who partake in all that - same as Rangers with there sectarian chanting. Neither club has the clean swept reputation for either to take the moral high ground over one another, so I dont know why you've tried.

Rocky there is barely a week goes by when missiles are thrown by their fans, latest victim was a 3 year old lad at the City game hit by a brick outside. Anyway never mind all that guff, the point I was trying to make was that when I tried to watch sky ports news etc to get a balanced view (obviously I`m biased ) all I heard was ranting about the penalty decision and the dive.

I thought C**tic had a few good spells but the overall game was bossed by Arsenal, they won and won well. I didn`t want to watch or listen to the sports reports to just hear just how hard done by they were, totally detracted from the fact that Arsenal taught them a football lesson as they did with Rangers in the Emirates cup.

If you really fancy a good giggle tune in to Real Radio Scotland footy phone in tonight, the place will be in meltdown http://www.realradio-scotland.co.uk/

  6. Why can`t they just get on with it, I`m sure over the course of the SPL season that they will be rewarded enough dodgy decisions to see them right. Nakamura, Larsson and Petrov were the world champion at diving for penalties, oh sorry you don`t do irony do you ?

And yes the IRA oke was in full swing again for all to see as well as the bottle throwing, scum club, scum fans.

  7. Sellick now whinging to Uefa about the diving, will they also be mentioning the bottle throwing incidents at both legs from their fans and also a laser being ponted at Eduardo as he was about to take the penalty ? I doubt it very much. They can`t except the fact that Arsenal where far superior over the 2 legs and have to resort to the poor victim mentality as they so often do.

  8. Can you post what they've said as you need to log-in to see.

And I ain't fecking creating a profile for a Rangers forum.

Sorry forgot it was log in only

Some more info on Dean Furman's status

Suitors line up for Rangers midfielder

League One side Oldham Athletic have stepped in as serious contenders to the signature of Dean Furman.

The South African midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Valley Parade, is mulling over a range of options.

Furman started his career with Chelsea and moved north of the border to Rangers in 2006, where he has played just one game.

Furman's contract at Ibrox has run out this summer and talks with the Scottish champions are reported to have stalled.

The 20-year-old was one of the highlights at City last season and he came third in the club's player of the season awards. During his 32 games at City, he scored four times and his all-action tigerish displays in midfield won him many fans in the stands.

It also won him a key fan in the dug-out - Stuart McCall is keeping close ties on his progress hoping to bring him back to Valley Parade, either back on loan or maybe even on a permanent contract.

Furman has recently spent two weeks in Mexico with playing colleagues Nicky Law, Kyle Nix and Joe Colbeck, showing the bonds in the camp.

But City have already lost Law to Rotherham United and released Australian-born Nix.

Sources close to Oldham Athletic suggest that their new manager Dave Penney, who would have seen Furman last season as Darlington boss, wants to beat City to the chase and take Furman to Boundary Park.

Didn't know that he was out of contract already.

I've heard he's been offered terms by Rangers twice and hasn't signed yet. Looks like he's either realised he's not going to get a game for us, so is offski, or he's wanting more money. Personally think it's more to do with getting a regular game than the money.

I thought young Furman looked very good when he came on against the Arabs last Season, I also believe that had Walter played him later on instead of the tired looking midfield he kept faith with, we would still have won the League.

Furman, Fleck,Buffel and Gow could have freshened up the tired legs long enough to keep us top of the League

It actually galls me to think of us letting a talented young player like this go whilst holding on to some of the trash we actually retain

Just a few of the comments left on the thread

  9. Anybody moaning and didn`t vote, you deserve what you get, simple as that. Must say that while this country is full of economic migrants from abroad the BNP and other far right parties will always remain in the margins. Not rocket science is it really that if you tighten the borders pUll out of the EU and sort the problem out they will no longer be effective.

  10. I can't see any Scottish club attracting promising English/English league management. It might be worthwhile Celtic looking for a promising manager from abroad where the salary expectations are much lower. So long as he doesn't turn out to be another Dr Pangloss.

Incidentally, it may afford the Hunnish followers of the thread some pleasure to hear that as my flatmate was returning from a trip to Ulster the morning after the dismal climax, the back pages of his Sun were plastered with horrific images which continue to disturb me...

They only want a Celt*c minded manager, Strachan was never liked because he went to the wrong church, sad but true

  11. It's not over yet.

Rangers havent got anything more than a draw at Dundee United in their last 5 visits.

One more added to that figure on sunday please.

Must be due one then Rocky, COME ON RANGERS  Big Kyle going down like that was a bit embarassing to say the least, I was at the game and pretty close to the incident, Mulgrew was looking for a reaction (known for it ) and pushed his face into Kyle`s which in my opinion warrants a red. I believe also that Kyle should be punished for his part also.
