  1. Sadly I totally agree Derek, I got slagged off at the start of the season when I said that signing a team full of players that have mainly played in League 2 or the ressies at higher up clubs would see ourselves in League 2...... and my worst fears seem to be coming true.

agree totally second division manager second division players second division here we come

  2. I know i will get grief for this but this morning I have registered at mcfc.co.uk and bought arsenal and villa games even though im a season ticket holder at BP.

I have had enough of paying (admittedly less than city) to watch and to be part of that drivel.

Last night was an embarrassment, I used to be so into latics, Going up and down the country to watch them but this season there is nothing there, to continue playing gregan, hazel and brill is a farce, everyone can see Brill is not good enough for a pub team yet there has been no moves to bring anyone, and i mean anyone, In.

His head has gone, we need any other professional keeper, Get budz back even. but its not just what goes on the pitch,

The event as a whole is a farce, I couldnt get a drink at half time, the atmosphere was terrible and im not being part of that!

for a few pounds move just a few miles down the road there is world class players playing well in a good league, for me its got to much to say no.

    can i come to please

  3. ii dont know why Joe Royle kicked him out and to be honest i think he ruined the season for us by doing that!

cud it have been the ten grand bonus he was offerd for over 20 goals in a season for this club [ 18 goals ]

he got close to that an away you go [no bonus]

  4. i think we should definately sign him. he is a brilliant goalscorer which he proved last season and the team would benefit from him.I know someone who knows him and says he is a nice guy, put all the past behind us and move forward. i dont know why Joe Royle kicked him out and to be honest i think he ruined the season for us by doing that!

    100% correct

  5. Not read all the post's in this thread but I can defo state Lee Hughes was at Stockport that night as he spent the second half sat next to Jacko and me. In the very next seat!. He left said seat with 10 mins to go stating " I best get myself off before (jestering to the county fans) these let realise who I am"

100% correct i woz his driver that night an we left as you said 10 mins before the end

icalled in the weavers on the way back 2 see a friend an lee came in we had 2 pints

an he chatted with the locals an signed trophy grahams shirt

he woz not pist up in waterhead

  6. Firstly, I would ask the mods not to merge this topic as it is not aimed at any one subject.

The last week or 2 at the club have been trying to say the least for various reasons. We have had the Belle Vue incident and results and performances have not been what we would want or expect from the investment made by the owners. It has appeared from the outside that things had got out of control and as fans we have been sniping at each other here on owtb and worse still during a stand off at the game at MK Dons yesterday.

Both sides of the Shez in / Shez out argument have had their say, but I believe that overall, 99% of posters on here are disappointed that Shez has ultimately failed.

The move by the board to bring back Joe Royle, something that I first brought up last week, can only be seen as a short and at most a medium term solution to recent events.

One thing that I hope comes out of todays events is that the actions of the club unite us fans in getting behind the team in these last 9 important matches and give us an end of season bonus both in terms of our promotion aspirations and the clubs bank balance.

I said in my Bring back Royle post and poll last week that I was more concerned with the long term future of the club than any sentimental loyalty to Shez and believe me as a so called happy clapper my loyalty to Shez was up there with the most fervent of his supporters. However decisions, hard decisions had to be made and to be fair to Simon Corney and the board those decisions have been made for the benefit and well being of the club.

If I can make one plea to you all tonight it would be no matter what side of the argument you were on please unite to become 1, keep the faith and above all believe, because over the next 9 games we need everyone to be together, to be behind the manager and the team. Promotion will be hugely beneficial to the club in terms of revenue as the extra tv money kicks in. It would also help T3A keep the faith. It won't be easy and by 3.05 next Saturday there will be doubters, but we need to keep the faith.

    Cheers,

    Harry

The club needs you all as much today as it did in 2003 so lets use todays events to move on and unite.

    WELL SAID HARRY
