  1. Not saying Shez should go (yet). What I meant to say really is that I think our play off chances have now gone, and so Shez's tenure as Latics boss is effectively over....I know he will stay til the end of the season (and I think he should), but we all know he's getting sacked come May if we don't go up. He's said as much himself. And at this rate we're not going up.

Why wait if we get someone else in we might get somewhere.

  2. This is not knee-jerk.....We will not get out of this division while Sheridan is in charge!!!!

His man management and motivation is absolutely zero and I can't defend him any longer!!

    Budtz.....Why?

    Hines.....Why?

    Whittaker....Why?

What has Maher, Fleming and Eardley done wrong?

Shez thinks he's Alex Ferguson....If we won 6 games on the bounce he'd still change his team!

Yes we should have scored from the penalty, and yes Windass should have done better when hitting the bar but from the moment Bristol scored the game was over.

All night long the movement from Hughes and Windass was non-existant and when we we're chasing the game what happens...We take a forward off for a forward and then take a forward off for a flamin geriatric!!!!

I've had enough of Sheridans unbelievable decisions and it's time for a change!

Don't anybody come on here and defend what happened tonight.....If we weren't playing Leeds next home game we would be lucky to get 3000.

A lot of contracts are up at the end of the season there will probably be a major clearout and once again I think we'll be starting from scratch!!!!

    Progress so far under Sheridan.....NIL!!!

Totally agree some people are saying sheridan got us in the play offs in his first season and 8th last year dont think they have noticed were still in this f*****g division tho.

  3. Thankfully the extortinate distance to make a midweek game saved me the pain of seeing it tonight. Yes we lost against another :censored: team, but to say his position needs to be reviewed if we dont go up is a bit of a knee jerk reaction. If we make the play-offs then Shez's record would have been two play-offs in three seasons, and a miraculous 8th place last year considering the injuries we had.

I would say though that his team selection tonight was somewhat baffling. Budtz for Fleming? Hines who is a centre back at right back instead of Eards? And its no coincidence that Hughes's game has been off since Windy arrived. Alessandra deserves a start and get back to basics again with the team that started the season so well. Our problem is, as it was when we almost blew it two seasons ago is that all our players seem to lose form at the same time.

JUst out of interest, did we ever get the sports psycologist in in the end? If so then i think someone should check out how legitimate his CV is.

we will still be in this league we are playing like this nearly every week not good enough.

  4. He isn't going to leave this season unless theres a big bust up, it isn't going to happen and maybe shouldn't.

But his position needs to be reviewed if we don't go up.

We wont go up playing like that it was rubbish has been for ages now, thats why there was only 3700 because the football is crap replacing two strikers with two more when we were two nil down sheridan out if we wait till the summer it will be two late.:angry::angry:

  5. So it begs the question, why was it demolished in the first place.

It was demolished to save money and to say that the redevelopment has started so the club would not have to re apply for planning permision again as this permission only lasts for so long and then you have to re apply its going to be another blackpool.

  6. Yes, Stoke have 'Delilah' and Forest have 'You've Lost that Loving Feeling', both of which are sung straight with no reference to the club or football.. In 1997 in the Isle of Man, we sang 'Can't Help Falling In Love With You' - it sounded great and could even be heard down the street in the chippy!

Although nothing to do with Latics at first glance, some of the lyrics can be interpreted to cover the supporters' love for the Club and the inevitability of the diehards returning again and again.

Wise men say only fools rush in

But I cant help falling in love with you

    Shall I stay

    Would it be a sin

If I cant help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea

    Darling so it goes

Some things are meant to be

Take my hand, take my whole life too

For I cant help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea

    Darling so it goes

Some things are meant to be

Take my hand, take my whole life too

For I cant help falling in love with you

For I cant help falling in love with you

Sounds good think this could work good idea.

  7. Yep! Another Shez out post I'm afraid, so those who disagree can go back to polishing their blue tinted specs and needn't read on (Or as usual they may like to reply with their predictable " You know nothing about football / Go and watch someone else / WTF we're still in a playoff spot ? / You're a tool etc." :bored:

Without reiterating points made by others regarding ludicrous loan deals, broken promises of squad changes et al, there has only been one occasion this side of Christmas where I've seen Sheridan perform like a manager (Calling Gregan and Haze over for a word while we were celebrating Whit's goal against Stockport). The rest of the time he has stood there looking lost, occasionally shouting basic stuff to players that a six year old wouldn't need to be told.

    Yesterday was the final straw. For those who didn't hear it, here's a 'conversation' between Shez and Hughes;

    JS: "Hold the ball up"

    LH: "Shut the F*** up!"

    JS: "Shut up!"

    LH: "Shut the F*** up!"

    JS: "Shut the F*** up!"

Now there's an insight into the level of intelligence of our manager - If that's the limit of his vocabulary then it's no wonder he can't get a point across. Of course, we should also remember his favoured retort of "Shut up you muppet" whenever anyone suggests his tactics aren't working.

Sheridans use of substitutes is equally bewildering. Like for like subs are not going to work when it's the source of the problem that needs addressing. For instance, Whittaker was too deep, and largely ineffective, meaning the supply to the forwards was via defence rather than midfield, so why not put an attacking midfielder on, or even drop Windy behind LH and LA - either way it was Danny Whittaker that should have made way for a tactical change.

After another poor 75 minutes, JS has stated that he wants us to play like that again on Tuesday  . Had I not been a season ticket holder I would certainly be missing that one - Thanks for the warning Shez, I'll take a crossword with me.

"We were trying to win the game" said Sheridan, well here's some news John - so were Swindon until the last 10 minutes, and you can guarantee Leicester and Leeds will be doing the same, only they will be much more effective outfits than Swindon. Rather than a scarf I shall be taking a white flag against Leeds, if that is how we are going to attempt to win the game.

Sheridan has shown the ability to assemble a very good squad - but he can't manage it. We could quite conceivably be sitting in 10th place by the end of February the way we are going, and that would be a travesty considering the potential we have. We appear to be knocking the skill out of decent players - perhaps that's what Shez wanted to do when he said Stephens 'needs to learn to play the Oldham way'.

After watching Latics for nearly 40 years, I honestly believe we have a good squad in this one - but we have a manager who has gone as far as he can.

    Ok rant over. Shez Out

<Awaits snotty kid replying with stock retort>

Shez Out im fed up of his excusses. We should be comfortably in the top six with the squad we have.

  8. So your only a latics fan, if you keep taking the happy drugs and believe that a 5-0 defeat to a pathetic team is acceptable?

This keyboard warrior "I'm a bigger fan than you" really gets my goat.

i agree, keyboard warrier a lot of people think this result is acceptable .
