You seem to be forgetting their collective appearance on the pitch at Fulham. Adn the fact there is a sale being processed as we speak.

It's incumbent on all parties to resolve it, but we have proof of at least one offer and know of others to the current owner. All have been rebuffed by the owner.

The onus is entirely with the owner.

Not in the slightest. What offer are you talking about?

  2. All it needs is for phantom 2 Blitz and Gazal to approach the Clubs owners and they alone sort the whole mess out but it will have to be them approaching the Club and not the other way round. The FLG and Trust have no ownership so they are not required to interrupt any meeting should it occur.

Bloody Brilliant signing. I hope hes ready for some hard work because hes going to have to be captain leader top scorer and player of the season.

My Bolton supporting friend says apparently we have really pushed the boat out financially to get him and have offered more than Bolton were prepared to pay.

They couldn't pay his wages which are apparently still outstanding. What a mess.

  4. What a crap site this is. Negativity all the way.

Bunn was fired for obvious reasons that the players were not playing for him and since he has gone our play has been far  better with attacking football and will be even better when Scholes is able to bring in fresh faces to make up his own team.

Why criticise Abdallah ?     Obviously this must be the site that demoralises everyone, apart from the Trust and Corney lovers. Abdallah is doing a great job and yet we still get comments like "he is picking the team". What absolute rubbish.  Call yourself fans, more like the "Anti OAFC Club".

Onwards and Upwards with Abdallah and Scholes and positivity arising from this trash shown on here.

  5. Taylor saving us. No way. He has done nothing apart from give his orders to other players who must have been thinking, who the hell is he to tell us what to do ?, while he prances around as though he has got a straight skirt on. He is certainly not the player he used to be, and, when he left the club I was glad to see him go as he was already on a downward slope to oblivion. He isn't fit and never covers for his full back by at least chasing back and making a tackle, because he hasn't a tackle in him. Providing he comes off the pitch with a clean kit he is happy. Hope he is now back at Bolton as Shez should give another player a chance in the last match.

  6. Probably been done before over the years. But I've never seen it. Just interested to know how and why you chose your username ? Mine is in reference to my best ever moment watching Oldham ever ever. Neil Redfearn penalty v Wednesday. Obviously some usernames are pretty self explanatory but some have me confused?

I chose, originally, Oldham4Life, as my username but I had a problem whereby my computer crashed and had to be returned to be fixed. As a result all my data was wiped clean and I had to again book into a site using the same username but was refused as someone else had started using it. So hence I changed it to Oldham4Always. I have been an Oldham fan for 60 years and was born in Boundary Park Hospital, now Royal Oldham hospital and that is why I started to support the club. Hope this answers your question to your satifaction.

  7. Quite like the idea of having 16 premeier under 21s teams in there as long as there's a decent cap on over 21s

Absolutely will not be going to any of these matches. It's a disgrace. Premiership teams giving the sum of a paltry £1m pound towards the competition, and only for their own advantage, using clubs like ours as though we are there for their convenience in order to establish if any of their under 21's are going to ever make their first team, which is probably a million to one chance these days with all the foreign players in their first team squads. There is no advantage to clubs like ours and I think it show a total disrespect of lower league teams. All lower league clubs should pull out of the competition. If the Football League Association want younger English players pushing for an England place then cut the amount of foreign players at Premiership clubs to a maximum of 4 then perhaps the under 21's will get their chances far better.

  8. Just been released by Blackburn, struggled to crack the first eleven at two championship clubs, loves the club, manager looking for wingers... We've got to at least try haven't we?

    #bringtaylshome

No thanks. We have moved on since he played for us. Need younger and fitter players.

  9. Philliskirk is a fantastic player. He gives 100% each game a lot of effort that some fans don't recognise, probably because they have never played football themselves. He runs every inch of the pitch chasing lost causes that other players give up. He breaks play up in the middle of the park and if there was any criticism of him is that he does not score enough but that is mainly due to him doing other players work. Sorry if this upsets anyone but I know a lot of people who now see what he is worth to the side. He does a great jobin my opinion.

  10. Didn't go yesterday but from the games I've seen, reading people's views, and LJ's comments, we are short of a poacher.

Poleon it's to early to tell- he may come good. He may not. Philly- if played up front will get goals- but I don't think he'll be prolific- not selfish enough. An can you rely on Forte's goals- When you consider his fitness an playing on the left? (Hope so)

How many games in LJ's tenture have we created enough but jus lacked the finish? A lot IMO.

I've always thought your only as good as your strikers in this league, the only time we got anywhere in this league we had someone prolific up front. I find it strange that we don't sacrifice maybe 2/3 squad players to pay for a bit of quality of front. Rather than a gamble/journeyman/young kid.

Just for saying sake- why bring in or offer deals to Dieng, Mellor, Morgan smith- (I'm jus picking picking three current fringe players, not I don't like any of them) when that could of gone on a striker/poacher we need.

I understand money is tight, I understand we need a squad, I jus think we've got quite a few who aren't really gonna get a game, an yet LJ says he needs/wants a striker. In which case has he used his budget wisely? Or do we jus accept that he has to juggle, an you can't commit to much on one player?

If, as it seems we get Ewbanks-Blake I reckon we will have a player who knows where the net is and can hold up play at the front for players like Poleon, Wilkinson and Philly which also means our midfielders have more options to press forward and have a crack for goal. I really think we have a chance if we have at least and addition who has muscle up front will make a hell of a difference. Some of them at the moment need to get more confidence in having a go and being a little more greedy. Onwards and upwards under a good manager like L.J. I also think our captain is now beginning to show his promise which L.J. mentioned on his signing.

  11. Believe me the police have their hands tied and these so called fans knew it, although it was good to see the supposed fan from Preston ejected by the police officers. The stewards are not trained enough to deal with public order situations and lots of them are too old in the first place. Still I agree that some of the Preston fans should have been thrown out as they were refusing to sit down and were taunting the Oldham fans throughout the match with obscenities, with no steward making a move to stop them..

  12. Just watching prem years on sky sports 97 season . Watching redfearn knocking them in for fun for Barnsley 6, years after we sold him . Think joe dropped a bollox selling him . Great win today

Correct - definitely the biggest mistake Joe ever made. He was for me a great goal scoring midfielder.

  13. They deserved it today, but to say the true Latics will never get near again is rubbish. Every club has a chance and hopefully when we establish ourselves in the Championship who knows what will happen. For now I would settle for a Championship place in the next season or so, then we can get established there and progress gradually.
