  1. how did u manage that?!

booked it, end of september pal, block booking! then the travel lodge, exeter. the digs- are halfway between the airport, and town centre. £5 in a taxi - one way or the other. should be know problem with are numbers, picked it out start of the season! puts me on 87 league grounds. all good older lads, so should be a nice trip"

  2. Commented on this many times before Lags. Happens every year to us. Remember the safety precautions County staff put in place to stop us from going in there end last year? Questioning procedures in place at the Stockport ticket office and everything although some obviously slipped the net, albeit for the stewards to have a strict chuck them out policy.....................

None of it by our lot, as long as they sell their seats they couldnt give a toss about the safety of our kids who go week in week out. I bet AH and TTA are very safe in their seats though eh?

stop acting like a tart" if leeds were in the chaddy, they would stand out a mile! they would be making noise, in there!

  3. Whilst entirely true Wardle I seriously doubt that Pav was able to tell anyone much after the operation he has supposedly had especially if there were complications by soon enough for it to get round to the OP at the time he posted- bearing in mind when visiting hours in hospitals (even private ones) are. My money (and Yes I know I've gotten into trouble for using this phrase recently) is on this story being utter :censored: and the person posting it knows it too.

i have no reason, to tell untruths" this is what i was told! as you say - we shall see. certainly hope its all hot-air! but i very much, doubt it.

  4. I was thinking of coming on Saturday but will give it a miss... I am thinking Boxing Day is likely to be my first and possibly only game of the season the way things are going... Its the only time I will be back in Oldham to see family... Cant see me making a special effort to come see Oldham all things considered...

Looked at doing away games but they are all quite far away this season it seems...

thanks very much. tell you what- dont bother! it seems to much trouble.

  5. The thing is will the game go ahead because here over in Leeds it's absolutely lagging it down and has been for hours. If it's anything like this in Oldham and it continues as forecast I just can't see it going ahead. Does this amount of rain and the likelihood of it continuing all day usual cause postponements at Boundary Park?

game 100% on- stop moaning! the rain will be gone at two, you tarts.

  6. The RRE is for those who like sun in their eyes, rain in their faces and ISZ's bitterly cold wind up their jacksies. Each to their own!

Of course we're clinging onto memories - that's what being a Latics fan is all about. :chubb:

rubbish, same old talk- sat in the rocky for 2 seasons now, no problem at all with the quotes above. never go back to the chaddy, its dead!

  7. boundary park, as never been a ground to write home about! yes its home- but lets be honest, its a hole, and always as been. my thoughts- 40 year fan. whatever peoples feelings, its going to be failsworth or bust. lets move forward" some on here, would still have us, ploughing fields with horses.

  8. It's been make clear by the authorities / club for years ... all to do with the lay-out of BP / transport links / buffer zones etc

thats rubbish, the set out- would totally suit the old bill. coaches behind the chaddy, easy to police, and use one exit out. you would hardly come across a visiting fan. the majority of home fans, walk up sheetfoot lane, before and after! sounds sensible [totally.]

  9. But at least its in Oldham. By millimeters or not, its in Oldham. Whereas Ashton Moss is 1.5 miles away from the Oldham boundary.

There are not that many Latics fans in Ashton, a few, but not many. There aren't many in Failsworth. A few, but not many. But at least Failsworth is in Oldham. It's not ideal (in fact its pretty far from ideal), but we would lose far more fans by moving to Ashton than we would by moving to Failsworth (me for starters, and it's not because of the distance because Ashton is closer for me), and we wouldn't gain many more. Why would anyone from Ashton go and watch a team called anything other than Ashton? And whats stopping them making the pretty short trip to BP or Stockport now? Plus, anyone with any interest is well covered for local football in Tameside. They may not have a league club, but in Curzon, Stalybridge, Hyde and Droylsden they have a few good standard non-league teams. And why would Tameside council just let us build a ground there without something in return? How long before a name change if we moved to Ashton? And, being a regular at the cinema at Ashton Moss, as well as the other things around there, I have rapidly come to the conclusion that Ashrton is a place full of 'tards. Why would anyone want to move a football team there?

If the people of Ashton want a pro team, they should get of their a**es and get behind Curzon Ashton.

    you tell them raggy!

  10. Subtle difference. I think we would cement our place as a 3rd/4th tier club, which will probably be non-league before too long.

Maybe not, but then this is only my second season without a season-ticket since 1991/92 (the first being Wadsworths season after spitting my dummy out at Ritchie's sacking). Doubt there's too many more 'hardcore'.

have not missed a home game, league or cup for 22years, go to 80% away too! still have not spit- my dummy out.:unsure:
