I have the opportunity to go and live in San Diego, with my best mate and these lovely people.....
Not sure why I felt the need to share that, but I'll be sure to have them bake a Latics cake and post a video up on here...
San Diego?? They're a dime-a-dozen in L.A.
I, personally, prefer San Fran over San Diego...xx

I think you'll be opening up a can of worms with that one.
Speaking of LA. I think I'm headed there on a holiday next summer. Better be better than what people I have spoken too have described it as!
Where in L.A. are you headed? We live a little north of West Hollywood (the Hills). We can take you to get the best Mexican food in Melrose: Tere's Mexican Grill. It's amazing.
I love L.A. mainly because my family is based in Beverly Hills and I went to school in Orange County...so I guess I was just thrown there. Though I've lived in New York City and my parents have a house in Indiana which is very very different from L.A. and a nice retreat. And I agree, there are many other places in the U.S. that are beautiful and good places to visit -- I'm just partial to the city of angels
Open up that can of worms!
P.S. As for local islanders re-enacting Latics moments: there's a famous homeless guy on the island that everyone calls "Bob" and I have video of him talking about the Latics. It's hilarious because the lights are definitely on, just not sure if there's anyone home...
-
Yeah, L.A. is a melting pot of bitter exes and damaged goods with great "potential". You'll definitely have to show us around in December!
As for the videos, we're currently in a drought of ideas. Any suggestions? xx

I'm waiting for the video that reveals the guys behind this elaborate ruse.
I'm waiting for our date.

IS it legal to have a beer in sight of the ground in the Cayman Islands? I'm thinking of those Jacuzzis they have beside some cricket grounds in the Windies
It's definitely legal to walk around the Cayman Islands with alcohol. In fact, it's pretty commonplace as the island brings in about 3 cruise ships of tourists a day. Strip clubs though, definitely not legal...sorry boys. x

Hey Sara,
I have enjoyed your vids so much, been really fun and actually quote surreal.
How about a beach soccer vid… in Latics kit of course. Show us your skills!
;)
Keep the faith
We actually have a friend who used to play for Leicester City on the island with us -- he's been trying to teach us things for ages now. 'Aight, let's play. xx

haha at least your around people im the only person in the whole building writing my dissertation which is in for friday. I think im gonna end up sleeping here in the office
I hear ya...I've spent so many nights at the hospital, pulling all-nighters, cramming useless viruses mnemonics into my brain, dealing with patients that don't want to listen to doctors. It can be absolutely awful. Hang in there! xx
-
Have converted any of your classmates into Latics fans yet? Ive tried and failed many a time We just dont seem to have the same appeal in England as we do in the Cayman Islands!
We don't really know our classmates because there are always different people in our courses. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I'm currently doing rotations for medical school -- anyway, people here are very scientific and cold and life is very dreary. Another reason this is all very enjoyable. xx

I dont normally post on here much, i just tend to read the threads, which are usually full of doom and gloom but i've followed this thread with interest, i've enjoyed the video's and you've certainly lightened up the mood in this forum anyway.
Congrats girls.
Thank you! That's very sweet -- I love reading this thread, it cracks me up every morning when I read through the posts in the back of my classes. xx
-
Nah he's just not seen a way to make this thread about the new stadium development yet and thus our lack of ambition. I think I may have just given him an opening, he's always watching, sitting at his computer in his night vision goggles dressed like Sherlock Holmes, there's no escape from our lack of ambition.
That sounds very frightening.
-
Probably more that he tries to belittle people and act like he's the only one here who's read a book in his life rather than his actual view point.
Oh boy, he'd have a field day with this thread. Maybe it's just too easy for him, and thus not as much fun?
-
I've just watched it. I didn't realise it was a date
The Natural History Museum doesn't scream "DATE" in red neon flashing lights? My bad.
-
The only thing more unbelievable than Laker girls becoming Latics fans, travelling across the world to watch them (I needed the cartoon in the Sun to fully grasp what that meant), baking Latics cakes and making videos about OWTB posters is the fact that the Corp hasn't commented on this thread about the inevitable spiraling of the club into obscurity.
I've seen everything now.
Who is this Corp that everybody keeps talking about? I feel as though I should be highly intimidated by this guy??
By the way, Laker girls love baking cupcakes -- it's all we used to do on the tourbus. Haha xx

Yes. The golden rule.
Never pitch your handbag overarm.
I think Johnny needs to make a video and show us the proper way to pitch a handbag. xx

Ha ha yeah trainers are sneakers, hope you girls are watching the england game that's on presently......'' come on england''
It's so exciting, I have trouble breathing. I keep looking for players being offside.
-
With your new knowledge, you would confuse the guys in this video.
-
I'm confused.
How much did the shoes cost and were they the correct size?
Does this have to do with another rule??
-
Did you throw your trainers over his head and against the screen?
Ah, no, I'm getting confuddled now!
Trainers? What are trainers? Sneakers? And yeah, I was infuriated by everyone being Offside! ha!
-
Offside is all you need to know really...thats why footballs the beautiful game, so simple!
Keep the videos coming they make a nice distraction from dissertation writing. If you make enough of them E4 or Living TV will probably give you a series!
We're definitely learning to love football. At the gym last night, they were showing a football match and the guy on the treadmill next to me kept screaming "He's offside!"....and I knew what he meant.
-
Just read the entire thread from start to finish, watched every video! Funniest thing I've ever read in my life but brilliant! KtF girls (by god you'll need it)
Loving the Offside video you put up girls!
Haha, we had too much fun making it. All right, think we understand one rule of the game! Yes!
-
*Note to self*
Feigning disinterest works.
Thumbs up. Whatever works for you. xx

"This is a private video"
Not sure I want to see it now...
Oops. Here we go, this should work: Our Offside Rule Video

If you get it wrong, I'll ban you both.
If we get it right, Zorrro's taking us to the Natural History Musuem.

I love love love La Jolla . I even bought perfume from a tiny boutique in La Jolla that's supposed to smell like...."La Jolla". It's beautiful. And I feel like everyone is always proposing there.
