Against Chris Taylor at Springhead, and Ishmael Miller (Yeovil) for Moston Brook used to bang a few in.
Matty Barlow once or twice for school and a with/against few others who're still floating about non league.
im sure at least one of Edgehill brothers (City) played against us in the sunday league cup a few years back......

.....sounds like we were in for a couple of Under 21 lads but they've both got injured; so nothing is happening.
Ah. Meh.
Go with what we've got. Get some frigging heart instilled in them; sort the hoof ball to midgets out and try and get a full 90mins out of them all.
thought LJ said that he had 2 'more experienced' players lined up, 1 injured in a reserve game 1 in training.
Most others available are u21 lads and unproven

if its a centre mid then it could be that korey smith is going to be out for a while
Korey out for a couple of weeks (Chron)
Rodgers out for 6-8 weeks though .....

Lanzoni is back from Italy - he was at the match on Saturday. Think you're over thinking a simple situation .
Lanzoni has also tweeted pictures of him working hard in the gym at oafc to get fit ......

Theres no revolution going on. Johnson is a conman. I see that he turned yet another interview into a story about himself, after the Preston match. Saying that he was going to buy Latics fans a pint each. Liar.
A certain Mr Ferguson used to do that all the time. Especially when a player made a mistake that may have earnt them a bashing. It took the focus away from the player and onto him. Worked every time.
Seems to have worked here too ........
Nothing wrong with doing it to protect players and/or to endear himself to fans. Sign of a good manager imo

No problem. Its a great site. Can mark down all grounds youve been to, including old grounds so for example City has both Maine Rd and CoMS there to cross off. Also great for people abroad or who follow england as it has stadia all over the world on there!
Warning tho..... you could be on there for hours!

footballgroundmap.com
also lets you mark grounds that youve been to and cross them off your list

We had to endure the worst season in terms of goals and entertainment in living memory last season. This season we have a very young energetic team that blows hot and cold, and we have got rid of the :censored:e that let us down so badly last season. Yes we blew it badly in midweek, yes we went off the boil today but lets be honest - who would have taken 11 points from Plymouth, Hudds, Daggers, Exeter and Dale? I bloody would!!!!
We're sixth, we ground out a draw from a blood and thunder local derby, a ground where we traditionally struggled in previous league meetings (according to the owd fella) We're 6th on merit, it's up to us to stay there so let's stop moaning, accept it'll be :censored:e from time to time with a young manager and team of kids but i'd rather watch this lot playing :censored:e than I would watching Oldham feckin' NIL every week like I was last year. Yes, i'm disappointed after today, but Dale are no mugs and should have beat us, we showed resilience to grab that point and it has taken us into the top 6, that's a feckin' miracle after where we were in May this year.
Bring on the Saddlers.....
Here Here
Totally agree, weren't great today and were second best. However for all the reasons already stated im happy with whats going on, granted i was devastated at losing a 3 goal lead, and drawing with Rochdale! but the outcome of it all should be supported and applauded by us!
keep going latics and do us proud!
-
Well that was absolutely dire. apart from the first 25 mins or so.
agreed, after their goal there was only one team going to win if any................them! however im happy to say that my head ruled my heart for once and i bet on a draw! finally i win!

was reading through some Argyle fans reaction on their board, and came across this LINK to a site where a fan has taken photos of their whole matchday experience.
thought it was a brilliant idea and i'd love to see something like this of latics away days! What do you think?
-
the same was mentioned on the plymouth message boards.........last week. so maybe something to do with them rather than us?
-
Isn't the football league show better when Claridge isn't on?!
100 percent! finally got somebody on who knows a bit about the lower leagues without being fed it on an autocue!
-
i reckon he meant it!
saw it on soccerAM this morning with somebody describing it as the greatest goal ever!?
on the same link given is another goal by a brazilian called Edmar......also brilliant
anybody remember better?
-
was wondering the same thing......haven't come up with anything.
wasn't the reason on OS down to something like technical problems?! had me baffled
-
Have to wait for football league review tonight

in certain aspects, no, id agree with you. certainly a better shot stopper, maybe quicker reactions etc...... bothe keepers have their own merits
for me though at this vital stage we need the experience of Rachubka between the sticks and his voice/presence behind the defenders
