i'm quite shocked when i see an oldham shirt in oldham tbh
Cyprus, 2005.

I wonder when the exact moment I fall asleep will be and what my last thought of the evening/morning will be.
I also wonder, and hope, that there is no danger!
-
Me, Sav and our kid. Oh and about 15 others who are on the same train down
What time train are you on, Dan?
-
Staying in the pub would have beenn more expensive than attending the game tho Deano
You two lightweights couldn't have took any more beer anyway.
-
I'd place a tenner on him making at least 20 starts this season
You love having a wager don't you, Nino??
But I agree with you.

Did you go last night?
Yes he did.
-
Well yes we have 45 games left and will hopefully get better people are only concerned with the type of performance served up last night. As people have also said Stockport was encouraging so i dont get why everyone is labeling people moaners it just observation from hardcore supporters that bothered to go Carlisle last night
Proper hardcore.

Is that this Christmas, or....
The League One Title this Christmas.
The Championship Title next Christmas.
The Premier League Title Christmas 2011.
No Danger.
-
But expectiations are a weird thing...
Going off what you say should we expect to stay up ? Should we expect anything ?
You have to base everything of the situation...
I expect us to hit mid table... I think that is a reasonable expectation for this season...
I think to show progress we need to hit top 10/12 this term, top 6 next term...a real promotion challenge by the third term...
That would be steady progress...
I don't want steady progress - I want the League wrapped up by Christmas.

Quite so. The memory of how Joe Royle took 5 seasons to get into the play offs in 1987 seems to be lost. He'd have been consigned to the scrap heap now.
Nobody gets five years nowadays, it's a different era and times have changed.
-
I wish someone would pull the plug out of some of the moaners.
If people pay the money to travel to Carlisle on a wet Tuesday night, they are within their rights to come on here and have a moan after an inept performance.
Surely that is what the messageboard is for!
-
How am I going to get a second and third place out of that?!
S.W - If you put the option "None of them" up, I guarantee you will have a clear winner.
-
I am getting the impression you were not totally happy with the performances Dean, just a hunch from the dozen or so posts.
It's alla bit of a roller coaster.
He has a right not to be happy. He spent money to go up there to watch that debacle.
-
Exactly.
Wasn't going to dignify the doom and gloom with a response, but just as a reminder, the 06/07 playoff season started with Latics scoring one goal in the first five league games, and defeat in the League Cup. As accustomed as we've got to getting knocked at out at Turf Moor in the second round, it's hardly the end of the world (or the season for that matter).
Correct, but our performances in that time were very good. We played Tranmere off the park, played ok against Port Vale when Sodje scored late on, played very well against a good Swansea team, held our own against Milwall until late on. Rotherham in the cup was poor and then we were unlucky not to beat Carlisle with 10 men for over an hour.
There were signs there that a good run was only around the corner. With performances like last night, there is no way we will have the success of 06/07.
-
Exactly...
Remember 7-1 against Cardiff as being pretty dam awful...
And it was years ago since Cardiff, so maybe he meant worst performance since then!
-
Coming from you Dean who has lambasted performance after performance I can only fear for the future!!! You've never been one to be shy about saying how crap we are.
Worryingly, he isn't far from the truth either!
-
Wasted journey, waste of money. At least on Saturday we looked like a team who could pass the ball. Tonight was embarrassing - we looked a bottom four standard team. Surely Chris O Grady won't play for us again!
-
Kieron Lee
There should be an option of none of them!
-
How many are going tonight? I am setting off in a few mins and another friend has a car full too.
I still fully expect to lose though!
-
Sounds like a slipped disc?
Not a slipped disc, he said his spine is out of line or something like that. A bit like yourself, Wazza, what he was saying made no sense to me - there is no danger about that.
-
Yes there was. Mentioned at half time.
Far be if from me to tell the Webmaster he is wrong..............but he is wrong.
-
TTA did not offer an opportunity for the average joe to see the accounts. They said that if someone was willing to submit a serious offer to buy the club then they would let them see the accounts and Simon Corney gave the impression that said "new owner" would run a mile after seeing the accounts.
I thought he said that if anybody believed they were going to "take the money and run", they could come into the club and look at the accounts?
Could be wrong, like.
-
he failed a fitness test shortly before the game.. so maybe on bench for carlisle game / orient (we play them on saturday right?)
My guess is you are going to be proved wrong.
So Early in the season and so many injuries
