  1. I have changed my mind, the chaddy is the best place for the lads, well away from the away fans so can just concentrate on the singing, the kids in the rre can do there singing, hopefully the noise coming from both end will encourage some activity in the main stand, and next year we could have singing coming from all FOUR stands
  2. Flagman, can you get someone to do some videos, put them up on the Facebook page?
  3. Guess so. Not sure what's under it, maybe knackered I don't know, but when it was said the chaddy will be redone as part of the renovations, I cannot remember if it was said it would be rebuilt from scratch or not, if the foundations are sound then maybe it would be just the sides\roof plus some surrounding structure that would be done
  4. The top of the chaddy used to have wooden steps, after the fire at Bradford it was fenced off, then it was replaced with concrete.
  5. I still hate Oldham council. The way things are going, the whitebank will be more modern than bp.
  6. If and when the chaddy gets renovated,I cannot see them ripping up the existing concrete and the seats, a far as I can tell its the sides and roof that are knackered. And I meant that whoever did the roof could get the advertising on as payment or part payment for renovating it. I suppose there's no chance until the new main stand is done. and its gone awfully quiet about the new stand, no mention of it since October.
  7. I know we are skint, but what would be the cost if replacing the chaddy roof with something like the rre has? With all the metal in the old roof surely there has to be some scrap value in there, plus whoever build the new roof could have their name splashed all over it for advertising. Maybe some sort of roof fund? Thoughts please.
  8. Ok, so the ultras in the chaddy, the rre will take care of itself, great idea about the main stand, anyone in there wishing to sing could maybe sit near each other? Cannot remember the specific song on Monday, but the far side of the main stand, next to the away fans, seemed to be joining in. btw, the guy outside the chaddy selling flags and scarves on Monday, was he selling official stuff? Was gonna buy a scarf from him but changed my mind and got one from the shop.
  9. C'mon flagman, the ultras NEED to be in the rre, like was said above, could be easily organised though here and Facebook, every one is on Facebook, you have an ultra Facebook page set up, all it needs is a message on there when bigger teams come to visit. Imagine the ultras AND all the kids in the rre, it would make a right noise and when the chaddy hears it, this will get the whole stadium going. Please can you and the lads reconsider?
  10. Does it really matter if there's loads of kids, surely the more people joining in the better. This needs to be in the rre if it is gonna have any affect on the while stadium, if the rre is rocking, its more likely the main stand and chaddy will join in and sing along, as has been said, when the chaddy sings nobody past the half way line can hear it. It doesn't take much organisation to move when needed, when a big game is coming up, simply arrange to go in the "a" again in the chaddy or just move into the smaller rre section. Great effort last night but let's do it where it will have the most impact, the rre. And the more kids the better, let them bring their flags and scarves its the atmosphere that makes it special for the young uns.
  11. Only saw their "boys" at the bottom of sheepfoot lane before the match.
  12. Well hopefully the " crew" will try next time in the rre, got to admit, apart from the result, it was great, the 2 young manure fans with me were jumping up and down and joining in the easy to follow songs, they seemed to really enjoy it. Am taking them next game hopefully in the rre. Bad result but let's carry this on. Up the athletico's.
  13. Is just a trial run tonight in the chaddy, hopefully it will be back in the rre the next time, I aslo believe the rre is by far and away the best option, best acoustics, plenty of space etc.
  14. Not looked forward to a match a much as this in a long, long time. Taking two 7 yr old man u fans with me, they never go to manures games ever, so hope they like the atmosphere so much they can be converted.
