They hugged each other at the end of the match.
Like a previous poster said they were showing a bit passion.

Really don't give a about rochdale. I can't wait for them to get relegated.
Much prefer going to Rochdale on a Tuesday night than places like Southampton.

Happy with our start,4 matches undefeated in the league and a decent performance at Scunthorpe.
Yesterdays match was far from a classic, but a points a point.
Some thoughts on other posts from this thread.
Jarrett is a footballer imo,he doesnt tend to waste the ball....Love Ruben to bits but his passing skills leave a lot to be desired so I can see were the comment on us missing Jarrett comes from.
I agree that this is why the midfield struggled today.
Taylor.......Dissapointing to say the least.
I cant agree with the posts that said we play too much down the right. The number of times Kieran Lee had the ball today and had to pass inside was unbelievable. He had nobody to pass to down the wing because Jones kept coming inside.
Kieran Lee was my man of the match......Won most of his tackles and tried to get involved in most moves.
Kelly had some neat touches when he came on,he looks promising.
Feeney,to early to judge yet but he didn't look very pleased when subbed today.
Brill imo is a lot better than last season. His kicking at times was poor but he controlled his area and as for the mix up at the end I would panic with Ruben running towards me.
The booing.......I never boo the team but reserve the right if they have played shi ite to say it.
Did hear a couple boos near us in the chaddy.

Went to the friendly with Ashton United and was very impressed with the young uns.

Why?
Alan Hardy is Latics to the core. More so than some on here.
So he should be......He gets paid for it.
I bet he hasn't spent thousands over the years following them through thick and thin.

The thing that stands out for me is that when someone asked who the outstanding performers were (based on the commentary) the answer was none of them - it was a quality team performance. That says a lot, and I hope is a great sign for the season.
Totally agree with this post...........At times we strung loads of passes together and all the players ran their socks off

shame he didnt smack hardy
+1

Falkirk were miles better than us.
Only thing of note from us was two crunching tackles by Kieran Lee.
There seemed a lack of effort from most of the players.
Pav never won a ball,Colbeck is paceless, totally dissapointing match.
Been to Southport today and the Falkirk team coach was parked outside one of the big hotels there.

Just got back.
Backs to the wall stuff for most of the match.Would have been cruel if we had lost it.
Eaves put a stint in when he came on.Lee had another sound match.
Saints fans seem to shout handball every time the ball went in our area.
Brilliant following for a Tuesday night.

Just setting off........See some of you in the boozer

Lee has been one of our best players recently. He can be quite skillfull on the ball unlike some of his teamates.
I'd keep him on.

Andy Ritchie.

Remember the York match when Maurice scored......All the streets round the ground full of Yelloway coaches that had brought the hordes of Latics fans.
Think in the Villa match Keiths Hicks scored a decent own goal.
Went to the Fulham match and stood in the side with all my Manure relations after their match was postponed.

Couldn't fault any of the players tonight, plenty of effort.
Taylors best game for ages....Gregan awesome again.

Just got home from game ( i live in cornwall before anyone says anything) and i have to say there is a lot of rubbish on here already ,we had more than 1 effort on target all game for sure as price missed a sitter after about 40 mins from 7 yards . Yes price appeared to play wide right in a 3 man attack but that was hopeless as the guys a centre forward not a winger although he tried. It was a game between 2 poor teams yes but we did not deserve to lose which 2 ludicrous penalty decisions nearly made us, where these refs come from i have no idea cos both where fouls by exeter players on hazell NOT the other way round.Brill was fine today and looked assured gregs was awesome but sorry if we gotta rely on fancy flicker abbot to stay up we really are doomed he was cack! stephens was lucky to stay on the pitch after an awful 1st half challenge and it wasnt until we went behind that we seemed to want to win and taylor had a couple of headers he maybe should have done better with.On the whole a draw is better than a lose and if we can win our home games we will be okay , well done to the 393 fans who turned up today and to be fair most players did at least appear to care ...
Good post smithers271...........I was at the game and agree with your remarks.
-
Gregan was head and shoulders above the rest today...........I've got to admit I thought it was mistake to keep him but he has proved me wrong. He has saved us so many times this season.
-
Agree with the comments from people that went yesterday.
Smalley is really disappointing and Parker a waste of space.Substitutions left me a bit baffled.
It was never going to be a classic but we got the win. Most of the fans showed patience and got behind the team except the knobs at the back singing die Penney die.........Whats that all about ?
