We're all Oldham Athletic fans, we used to spin t'cotton, but under Dunn and Kelly our football was :censored:ing rotten...
Credit where it's due for that one..
-
For anyone still undecided - Corbyn has come out in support of staying in.....
That clinches it for me then, much as it pains me to side with Honest Dave i'll be voting to stay in.
No brainer really when Johnson and Gove are in the Out camp.
-
I suppose you would. But you'd be voting for the whole UKIP package - including the racism, the abolition of employment rights, the denigration and privatisation of public services and so on.
So UKIP's nicked the tories manifesto now?
-
All you need to know is you dont want to sing the Donny Rovers chant. Its embarassing.
We're all Donny Rovers fans, we used to work down t'pit, but under Darren Ferguson our football team is :censored:...
-
I voted for James Wilson too, I'm far from his biggest fan but he actually put a shift in yesterday and showed he's a talented player when he can be arsed, which makes his attitude in the majority of games he's played even more unforgivable.
-
Shows why it isn't a great idea to let most of your squad know you think they are :censored:, you never know when you might need even the poorer ones to do a job.
They probably know the manager thinks they're :censored: if they aren't being picked...
-
But he has also hardly played? Match fitness an issue at least.
Not want to be seen as massively defending him, but potentially worth seeing him again next season before writing him off
Would be a massive gamble giving him another contract bearing in mind the budget Sheridan will be working with next season.
Might be a different story if we go down though.
-
And yet he's scored more *goals than any of our players this season...and we might struggle to fill a bench on Saturday...
Costs nothing to bring him back.
* awaits the comment that they were League Two goals, as though they don't count to his tally...
You won't hear that comment from me, he shouldn't have gone in the first place.
It's ridiculous he's out on loan, never said anything different.
-
No denying these injuries are worrying, we've zero cover at centre half if both Wilson's are out for any length of time, also if we're in the position where we're relying on Brown and Croft then we're in deep trouble, they've had hardly any game time apart from anything else.
Also there is no way Murphy will come back, he won't even be asked to, he's been shipped out twice this season already so he's not exactly high up in the pecking order.

If it weren't for the bin men...
You taken over from your mate bluear as my resident stalker here?
You little keyboard warrior you..
-
eh? you do realise what doctors earn during their career??
Yea and it's nowhere near enough for the hours they work and the lives they save.
-
:censored: the junior doctors.
Next time they go on strike you should toddle down to their picket line at the Royal Oldham and say that to their face, not that you would cos that would take guts...
-
Can't beat a well balanced argument. I wasn't talking politics - I was pointing out that these grants people talk about are merely a partial refund of what we pay in.
Err that is politics....
-
An unfortunate term - should have said "ruling party".
Ah the tories...do you seriously believe they would spend any extra money where it's most needed? They'll update Trident cos that's really really vital to the wellbeing of the British people, :censored: giving doctors a decent wage eh?
-
I get sick of hearing that we get grants for this, that and the other from the EU. We get nothing!!! We pay in more than we get back. Stop paying into the EU and we can have twice as much money to spend!
Define "we"
-
Sincereley hope not..the LA strip's well tacky while Yorkshire Street had a certain class.
-
What the "In" campaigners need to understand is that Yorkshire Street offering a good night on the piss again is far more important to me and many other Oldhamer's than a thousand Hadron :censored:ing Colliders....
Yorkshire Street went downhill when the Old Mess House closed...

Oldham town centre is a ghost town now. So many pubs have gone. How much of that is as a result of young adults having no money to go out because they no longer do the low level jobs we had?
Spot on this sadly. Had a Friday night out in Oldham last month every pub we went into had no more than half a dozen people in and that's including the Upsteps. Is tragic when I remember what it was like 20 years ago, every pub was bouncing.
-
Delph is the worst for wannabe yorkies.. full of ignorant tossers, apart from the latics fans that live there obviously.
-
A bit rich coming from Warnock. I remember his antics at Brentford when he was our manager - I felt ashamed!
What antics?
-
No brainer this week.
-
Seems like a move to say in a few years time that it's been a massive success and so the big clubs should be allowed to put B-teams in the Football League. I
This will happen, nothing surer. There'll be a Premier League, (minus the clubs who bugger off and play in the european league), the championship and then regionalised league 1's consisting of present League 1 & 2, Conference clubs and the PL's U21s.
Can't wait.
-
If he stays, he needds to learn to get much closer to Hollway. They's like two isolated strikers. he needs to feed of the knock downs from Holloway.
Yea but he's too busy closing down opposition defenders in the hope of winning the ball back and racing 30 yards to put in a tackle, which is eminently commendable and shames the majority of his teammates but the flip side to that is he's all too often not where he needs to be when we're attacking.
-
As I keep saying if you dont give them a chance you will never know.
Personally, I'd prefer a willing lad with some flair than the likes of Jones at present.
Spot on this.
I'd take a willing lad with no flair than Jones atm, he's stealing a living.
Safe?

Spot on..that was as unlikely a scenario as they come yet it happened.
We're not safe until we're safe.
