  1.

We may well be fifth, but that performance was dog :censored: of the highest order - and therefore the booing was entirely deserved and justified. If they can take the plaudits when deserved, then they can take the booing too. They're big boys. I'm sure they can handle it....

. How was it justified? We are in the playoffs with one of the lowest budgets booing them does nothing for moral, nothing. We showed what we could do as fans last season when we were down near the relegation and we all got behind them and we stayed up. Same logic should apply when we are near the top of the league. Boo if you want but for me its pathetic.
  2. FourFourTwo's annual Football League Issue (out start of April), want to name the 50 best players outside the Premier League.

They have asked who we think are the best 3 players in Lge 1, this includes any loanees

As an extra question, they want us to pick the best player at Latics right now, and if we have an interesting fact/story they will interview Liam Kelly (sorry the player).

  3. Putting the case aside and from a pure footballing point of view, think the lads will be more disappointed a quality striker didnt sign, the squad just lost a player that could arguably fire us back up the league.

Lets hope the forwards get a kick up the ass in the knowing LJ wants a striker. That said I also think us fans might have a big part to play tomorrow if the atmosphere is flat think the team might struggle. Lets hope we are in fine voice!

  4. With a heavy heart I will be there on Saturday, in 30 odd years Ive seen a few muppets come and go but the board have let the paying fans who turn up week after week down so badly, the silence has been deafening.... a total cock up and embarrassment. 30 odd years supporting Oldham and I have never witnessed the supporters so divided, I'm ashamed of the board dragging my club through this media sh*t storm.

  5. Why not get everyone against it to attend the next few games and have a sit in! I support Latics, not Simon Corney or the shower of a board. I will still be going when they have long gone. If people really give a crap, show it and turn up. Support the team for 90 minutes and protest after the final whistle. it's too easy to whine and bitch on social media these days. Ched or no Ched I will be there on Saturday cheering for 3 points

  6. Tinkered too much today 6 defenders on the same pitch at home, Have we ever played that many defenders before? Tidser and Winchester on the bench made it more of an absolute joke. Johnson messed up bad, real bad, set up to never score not even a 3-5-2 formation, that was a 5-3-1-1. Lee deserves pelters after that, dog crap, now he's given Daddy the points lets pick a team that can get a result at the franchise. Went down in my estimation today bloody amateurish at best. All that positivity tarnished in 2 games. Rant over! ?

  8. All Ifs and buts but I can't help thinking if LJ had the budget PNE have we would walk this league, no problem....... Good tactical change at half time which almost worked, Some positives - Kelly showed what a brilliant player he is at this level and you dont have to run around like a headless chicken to dictate the play, something that used to wind me up no end when Wes was playing. Poleon goal- lets hope that gives him some confidence. Dieng- With a bit more match Savvy he looks like he could be a superb defensive midfielder. The new keeper played very well for his debut against the flying elbows of the PNE front line, almost got to a couple of their pens as well.

Not so positive - Bit rum to slag off the 3 players that went off at half time, put any one of them in that second half team and they would have done a decent job.

Overall all positive for me, PNE couldnt beat us in 90 minutes - lottery of pens after that. back to the league :first:
