Sounded like we missed 3 or 4 decent chances, hit the post, possible pen not given.
Bad finishing? Bad luck? Misleading commentary?!
Misleading by the sounds of it. Hardly got in the box, so don't know when we had a penalty shout. Cassidy and winchester should have scored free headers. Poleon over ran one near the end when 1v1. Too slow to switch play and not enough looking to go forwards. Only started 'playing' (sort of) after the red card. Too busy seeing if there is a easy pass behind them. Sheff utd were really bad, we were even worse.

People see what bradford have done and think we can do the same. One is a city with a much bigger population and no real 'big' clubs around it.... The other is a town which is on the doorstep of 2 big clubs and only really has a hardcore set of fans to attract. Winning games with a very committed team is the only way our crowds will greatly increase, we're unfortunately as far away from this as we've been for a while.

He was their outstanding player that night.
Good to hear BP.

Remember mk having 2 good attacking midfielders in the youth final last year, who looked better than any of ours. Apart from that though, the rest of their team where very poor, which explains us thrashing them. I presume he's one of the 2, here's hoping anyways.

People still defend rooney and make out that they knew he was going to be a 'world beater' elsewhere. He was utter :censored: for us, end of. A lot of people on here try to make out that they're a football scout (apart from bp1960), just end up sounding silly and looking foolish.

Didn't wilson play CB a lot for colchester when he was captain there?
I'm suprised it's took us this long to finally play him there, because i thought that's were he has played most of his career.

Keith hill was going on about budgets again after their game against bury. Started saying that bury have now gotten a lot of sponsorship deals done, which is obviously helping fund their squad.
Maybe they aren't in as much trouble as people make out, all though I can't imagine they have got sponsorship deals as good as ours (e.g. sportsdirect).

What's the best pub for away fans in dale, if any?

shame how our so called 'fans' (including a large number of atletico's) chanted kelly out. think the writing was already on the wall and it didn't need to be said. I would have give him more time. but unfortunately a fair few of our supporters where never really going to give the guy a chance. The fact that the supporters did that to one of our own, yet applauded the p'boro midget of the pitch is ludicrous. He deserved the applause, but don't do both. Hoping for a experienced manager, but no matter what corney does, i'll trust his decision.

What's the link between police using excessive force at Bury and dicks throwing stones at a coach on Broadway?
You do know the original poster isn't condoning it or using 'bury incidents' as an excuse for this. So why post this? SMH

You can attract who you want with the right level of investment.
Forgot we have roman abramovich on the board.....
-
Cant believe people still hold a grudge over kelly due to one twitter post.
Some of our fans need to realise, we can't attract top lower league manager's who've been a success wherever they have been. I'd rather a rookie over someone who has been there, and failed countless times before. Got to atleast give him 10 games.

Harsh to blame the FA. It's a FIFA thing.
Law 12 I believe.
Fair point. With them going over the offside rule again this year, got me thinking it was their job.

IIRC if the goalkeeper deliberately handles a back pass (inside his area) to stop a certain goal an indirect free kick should be awarded but the goalkeeper should not be booked or sent off.
If a back pass is that bad that its going over the keepers head, then it should be considered stopping a goal, nevermind a goal scoring opportunity. Some strange rules still that the FA should have sorted out ages ago. Presumed this was a rule since its common sense, but forgot the FA severely lack it.
-
Surely, once he found himself back in his area, with a ball that needed to be saved, he should have done so, irrespective of whether it was a back pass or not?
I wouldn't have been best pleased about being put in that position though.
He'd have been sent off then if the ref knows the rules. Basically like handling a ball on the line to stop a goal.

From 2 days ago. Pete o'rourke (sky sports bloke on twitter)Nothing about him actually signing yet.
Chelsea forward Islam Feruz is set to join Oldham Athletic on loan. #CFC #oafc http://t.co/Qkek0idWnH

Didn't go, but one of the Twitter accounts I was following said Bury had a few decent claims for penalties...
Let's just say i'd unfollow. Clearly a bury fan running the twitter account.

If anyone has spare under21 or adult ticket, i'd happily buy it. Got a mate who is trying to leave holiday early to get back for the match.
-
How tall is he? Wiki doesn't give me the information necessary, to decide if he's tall enough to replace cassidy..... I know, i'm obsessed with a players height.
-
5Ft4. Not really a replacement for cassidy, more like a replacement for poleon if he does go out on loan.
-
Were they all abusing there own players at the start of the video? Bunch of kiddies bouncing around giving it billy big spuds.. school holidays are a nightmare
It was the linesman, the 3rd goal was a clear offside and he didn't give it, so they all started following him up and down the touchline..... Some adults in that group of 12y/o's too. I'd be embarrassed if that happened at bp.

Funny when people on twitter say our fans are the best. Not even giving a manager a chance and saying you're not going to go is just an excuse. Same as those who were moaning about the chaddy, either support the club through thick and thin, or take your miserable arses to the pub to watch that prem sh***. You support the club or don't, shouldn't matter who is in charge or where you sit.
3rd round draw

Why's everyone going on about syllables and what not? Sheff utd where not drawn at home, so it doesn't make a difference. It 'might' have affected the following draws but not ours.
