Barry's statement on Hughes posted on the 1st December.
http://www.owtb.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;hl=barry+owen
Who's knows what his contract contains, that's his and the clubs business .......... not ours!!
We travel around watching the team through good times and bad, we pay our money each week and you know what ....... it's still their business not ours. What right do we have to demand to know the ins and outs of the running of the club ..... absolutely none. Let them get on with it and trust them to do things for the good of the club.
Surely the club should not be lying to the fans though ? i dont mind them not telling us things but lying to us does seem unacceptable.

I know, I struggled with that!
its ok

yeh it was kind of weird that they were showing that because now naieve people will think right ill go out have 8 malibus and it will be ok to drive ive seen it on tv that its ok, it was giving a false image. I felt sorry for Mcormick at first but then i saw the car at the end and i though what a w*****
It was strange how only a couple of them were over the limit after drinking so much, definately made me think that i could drink more and then drive if i wanted, as previously ive never driven after more than 2 pints.

Good one!
problem ?

I'm afraid, logical thinking prevents me to jump to that conclusion (blue) based on the previous statement (red) not being confirmed.
finally lol

If my memory serves me rightly, they did. Can't find the link though. Interestingly Leeds fans will get the whole stand. Clearly a lesson has been learned.
Well burger me! Who'd have thunked it? OAFC request more tickets as the originals sold out quickly, we have a track record of filling their away end and Stockport County (after liaising with the police) say no?
How much are we paying these football intelligence geniuses? FFS! Every Latic I talked to that night was remarking on how damned obvious it was that we would have lots of fans in the home sections and that there WOULD be bother if/when we scored.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the decision made by County may well have been partially fuelled by spite as they had accused us of being 'difficult' over negotiations to move the game from 3pm on the Saturday.
Leeds have got the whole of the poplar side and the railway end behind the goal. around 4000 in total i think

I'll try to get some more info, when i get home this weekend.

having watched police camera action last night it sort of changed my mind about hughes seeing what Mcormick did to two young boys
I felt sorry for McCormick, atleast he didnt run away, McCormick seemed genuinely devastated. Apparently he heard his girlfriend was having an affair and was rushing back down to plymouth from a wedding he was at to comfront her about this. I couldn't belive that woman 8 malibus and cokes and she blows 4mg when the limit is 35 how is that possible.

Yeah 'cos it's a totally normal thing to do for businesses to put out details of an employees contract into the public domain!
Contracts are between the company and the employee and nobody else has to know about it, it's a private matter! Whatever the figure is whether it be £300K or £400K we already know much more than we have any right to!
The point is there is NO release clause in his contract if what im being told is correct. Therefore the club making this up to try to sell him, thus contradicting the statment that they want him to stay.
-
All the same i would like club to admit they have lied to us regarding Hughes' contract. And if they haven't then to prove it.
-
a Stockport fan got his ear bit off in that scrap in the Cheadle End.
Karma.

I know alot of my mates dont come to home games but they will go to away games as its a better atmopshere, i still dont agree with them especially as on saturday it would only cost them £2. Alot of them will just go to manchester during the day or go to the pub, and prefer to save their money to go on nights out. Club has to do something to appeal to the 16-25 age bracket i feel.

Liverpool have a few quality strikers in their reserves that we could maybe take on loan. Pacheco, Nemeth, Amoo and El-Zhar are all highly rated. I also rate that Carroll up at Newcastle although he is abit similar to O'Grady.

£30m for Torres.
£250k for Bishop.
£1m for Dickinson.
Wonder if we can get Byfield on a free?
I think Derby would snap your hand off for around £500k-£700k for Dicko.
Torres £30m dont make me laugh, would need atleast £50m-£60m to prize him away from anfield.
Bishop £250k mark about right, but value in IMO

tonight at 9 ITV1

Maybe if the RRE does a rendition of Lee Hughes wherever you may be please dont leave us in january, on saturday he might decide to stay
-
Ideally Fernando Torres, if not Andy Bishop or Liam Dickinson.
-
Regarding money, i'm sure he was on around £10,000 a week at WBA and Cov. He isnt going to be earning anywere near that wherever he goes so i wouldnt have thought an extra £2-3k for a couple of season would mean that to someone like Hughes bearing in mind he would have to move to a new area etc unless he went to a midlands club i suppose.
-
Unlike the some of the latics players on facebook Hughes doesn't strike me as the type to put things on there that would not be in the clubs interest. E.g Eardley facebooking at about 2am the night before a game whinging about being on the bench.
-
Facts are ... he as a clause that says he can leave before the end of his contract for a bid of 400K is recieved and he wants to go, we have to accept the bid as it's part of his deal.
He doesn't have that a £400k release clause though.
-
It wouldn't take his agent long to put that one right though.
Which is how my source found this out.
Lee Hughes is up for sale £300k

What about all them people who admitted they drunk and drove ? surely they are just as bad, McCormick and Hughes were just unlucky ? Not sure the same can be said about that guy from Bradford who had his erect penis exposed when rescuers got to him aswell as being heavily intoxicated after he'd killed some one.
