  1. Win tonight and we'll be entering the long winter months with 17 points from 14 games, in 14th position, 5 points off the play offs and 5 points above the bottom 4. With a completely new squad signed in the summer it would be reasonable to assume the team will get stronger as the season progresses and they get used to playing with each other. Added to that we have already been away to the 3 of the top 4, have a JPT quarter final to look forward to and are playing what most people would agree is an attractive brand of football. This would all suggest a decent start to LJ's first full season in charge. Lose and we'll have 14 from 14 and be just 2 points outside the drop zone, with teams such as Sheff United and Bristol City below us who you would expect to improve by the end of the season. We'd have taken just 1 point from 3 games against the bottom 4 teams (2 at home), have been knocked out of the League Cup at the first hurdle with a FA Cup match on the horizon against Wolves who comfortably beat us a few weeks earlier. Also we'd have been playing a different side in most matches suggesting the manager doesnt know his strongest eleven after having brought in so many players at the start of the season. Continue at that rate and a total points haul of 46 would likely see us relegated and some fans suggesting that LJs honeymoon period is well and truly over. Personally I think we are doing OK and if we can get the win tonight are performing above expectations for this stage of the season. A couple of bad results this week though and I can see people turning on LJ and the team a little, despite it being such a fine line as highlighted above.
  2. Just tweeted how pissed off he is now. Right back coming in?
  3. According to LJ on twitter. Also says lots of players showing interest in signing for us
  4. Awful football. Failed at each of the last few clubs he has been at (megson)
  5. No chance billy Davies either. He's wanted money wherever he has been and we've not got none
  6. If anyone wants a copy let me know and I can email you a pdf
  7. You are correct to say that any profit from the Liverpool game wouldn't be included - that would fall in to year ended 31 December 2012 accounts. Accounts are filed with Companies House and are available to the public (although I think there is a fee - I just have access through my job).
  8. According to latest accounts for year ended 31 December 2011, Latics made a small profit of around £8k for last year. However, the company still has net liabilities of over £5.4m. The accounts have been prepared on a Going Concern basis and the accounts state that the shareholders intend to continue to provide adequate finance to enable the company to continue in operational existence (although that is fairly standard wording).
