Its his best position Wilson/Dieng were the best partnership we had last year and when they got a run of games together we looked secure at the back...

Looks woeful in midfield and many are using that judgement on him as centre half.

Surprised he has released Thompson he looked more composed and stronger at the back than Kerr persoanlly would have took another look at both.

The signing itself does nowt for me.

 

I didn't even realise he was still playing until we were linked with him. He was decent in the Prem over a decade ago, but I get the feeling he's a past it crock these days, and if he was still a capable championship player his name would have landed him at a better club.

 

He might be brilliant in flashes, but I doubt he's got it in him at 35 to be the difference maker to turn the game around when we're struggling to perform.

Could it be that the cheap option they took at the time in employing Darren Kelly has come to bite in the bum with the interest in the new stand creating finances available that wasnt back in May, hence looking at someone with a better background, contacts but costing a little more....

I think George Green is going to be this season's most frustrating player looks to have it all but i think more often than not he will make the wrong choice or try to take a player on rather than play a simple pass but he also has the ability to smash a few in from 30 yards something we have lacked.....

Turner should start above Poleon and Murphy he looks like the paper we thought we was getting looks like he has bulked up, works hard and 99/100 will put a chance away...

Murphy should be shown the door just cant see anything about that made the board spend 60k on him

Coleman should be number 1 and i would sign a right back and release both Brown and Wilson...

I liked Thompson over Kerr aside from one stray pass he seemed quite solid and strong at the back...

Hiwat did a couple of things which showed he could be a class above and that was a turn that sent 2 defenders for a paper and a quick flick and volley which although sailed over showed he has a bit about him mentally he worked hard and always made himself available definitely worth another look the Belgian on the other hand no ta.....

It surely has to be a centre half, the fact DK still hasnt given Gavin Gunning FFS a contract makes me think he isn't going to be ready for what was DK has said 30-35 games he requires out of all his players in the squad....

I personally think its more propaganda from DK as in his first radio interview he said you would be surprised at the player he knows personally none of the signings jump out as backing that statement, the rumor mill have stated David Dunn refused to work with him, i personally don't think he has the clout he makes out and unless the team start strongly he is on a hiding to nothing come October if we are struggling.

And this philosphy of attacking football then playing 1 up front is utter bollocks

Ive just looked on Skyscanner and you can book a flight from Amsterdam to Manchester tomorrow for £56, train fare from Eindhoven to Schipol Airport is 19 euros and roughly a 40 minute train journey again i find it shocking the club cant directly fund this themselves (surely the club holds a credit card) after all we have beaten the small minnows Newcastle Utd to his possible signature.....

If the club can't afford to put the lad on an easyjet flight and a couple of nights at a travel lodge or club associated dig then we really in trouble...

Thats astounding that the club needed help funding flights from Holland...
