signed a new two year contract extension this season
-
Of the ones that have broken through to play for the first team, its very mixed bag.
In the last three seasons we have had:
Kofi Moore
Harry Vaughan
Junior Luamba
Benny Couto
Vani da Silva
Isaac Modi
Will Sutton
2 still here
2 playing higher up (one we received money for)
3 playing below
-
Stott got a guard of honour yesterday for his last game at stockport, it would appear they think very highly if him. Never really been given a second chance here after breaking into the team
-
whilst i agree that kettings was bad in the JPT game, to say off that he is woeful is strange, it was 1 game and in that game edmundson was far worse and the majority on here think he should have a new contract
-
Would he? Given the mass clear out over the summer and his lack of appearances prior to that I doubt it.
I don't have a problem if the club decides to take him back, after all Shez did give him a couple of starts, but to say he would have gotten a contract without the allegations is stretching it a bit.
Fully agree with Fruitygoo's comments about anonymity for the accused too. I've come across some people in my job accused of similar and worse crimes, they haven't had their names splashed all over the papers despite it being arguably more in the public's interests to do so. Anonymity for all would solve that issue.
i obviously dont know for sure if he would have got a contract but he was captain of our youth team and had made his debut based on talent rather than injuries. Danny byrne got a contract despite never getting anywhere near the bench. He would appear to be in a great position, then outside influences hit
-
I think the club should be trying to help, let him in to train. He would have got a contract but for the allegations.

Yes, Taylor was distraught on his knees having given the pen away to which the guy in front of me shouted "well done Taylor you :censored:"

Im not corneys biggest fan, but i fail to see how the majority of fans have been optormistic for most of the season, we put in an utterly inept performance and that is somehow corneys fault. Blame the manager, his assistant, his coaches and all his players except ripley
-
innocent or guilty this could effectively ruin his career. He cant play until march in what is a make or break season.
-
Anyone become so disillusioned with latics that they have asked for season ticket money back yet?
Reckon Sheridan was told there will be virtually 0 budget for players and thats why hes gone - only my onion mind no sauces involved
excuse me oafc but your statement said the manager himself didn't want to be here, ive then made a guess as to why, which annoys me, and i believe its your fault, can i have my money back?

How can people advocated releasing Vassell when hey haven't even seen him play to form a conclusion?
but, he has hardly made the bench and this year was 6 choice centre half Is that not just a waste of a wage? same with truelove
-
Edmundson was on the bench for Droylsden today. Vassell, despite being 1 of the 2 DD would have kept can't get a game, and Renshaw will play in the FA youth cup tie here next Wednesday so we won't see him at Shrewsbury.
was edmundson not on our bench?
-
He's an arrogant :censored:. Never showed any remorse. :censored:!I'm not going into meltdown, but he's a :censored:!Still, how stupid is it to give a kid enough money to buy a Mercedes at 18? How stupid to allow kids to drive a Mercedes? He's still a :censored:!!!!
hasnt he done a video to be shown in schools, showing his remorse and warning kids
-
Blitz and Gazal should write-off any loans to the club made before they decided to walk away and leave Corney minding their interests.
I'm sure we'd be a much more attractive proposition without that £6m pothole.
Brilliant. excuse me sir, things arent going excellent here can you write off £6 milliion?

Dunn said that he will "ring the changes."
The changes from Crewe were:
Dieng replacing Brown, who's hardly a first choice anyway.
Jones replacing Fulton, who's ineligible.
Cassidy replacing Higdon, who's ineligible.
If that's Dunn sending a message to complacent players it isn't the slightest bit convincing.
brown was suspended

I
I was thinking about a possible return for Paul Murray. He was released after a few games by Barrow. Some on their message board thought he was simply one coach too many. Others thought he was just thick. They should have Holden for a bit.
how much of this is just blind nostalgia though, he has left us and been sacked by hartlepool and barrow!
-
thus meaning Connor Brown had next to no outlet going forward and was forced to cut inside on Saturday and make the :censored: mistake he made.
WOW, JUST :censored:ING WOW!
-
Has everyone forgotten Stan the man?
yes - thanks, but it kind of indicates his effectiveness that i forgot all about him
-
"should"
-
from having 7 centre forwards for the first game of the season and thinking we were over stocked, we now are left with philly who has been playing defensive midfield poleon who has had problems with attitude and bove who failed to score at Ashton.
-
although neither penny or talbot were seen as dinosaurs when we signed them onas someone put it on another thread.
there is a diffrence between experiance and a dinosaur
-
the last 3 appointments have been first timers.
ffs corney ger someone with experiance in
the other 3 all had experience and that worked out a treat
-
Redferns record as a manager is dreadfulRedfearn was taking notes on Saturday, as he has been doing the last few home games.
A bit much for just scouting....?
-
a bit of new info into the selection process, and Twitter post

I dont disagree, but having said that kofi moore looked absolutely lost when he played this season
