  1. All I would do personally is get a partnership of Mellor (or Rusnak at a push) and Smith in CM - Mellor can surge with the ball as well as defend and can be our attacking force, has a great left foot and can pass a ball; more mobile than Wes who tries his best and does his job, but we need a little more drive in there and Korey can't do it all himself

LJ also needs to pick a front 2 and let them gel, no wonder Rooney is playing well in patches when he has a different striker with him very 2 games. Sure mix it up every now and then but for the most part we need a partnership going.

Think Mills will go back to Burnley as much as we'd like to keep him can we justify his wage/part of wage when we have Grounds for LB and Kasunga/Lanzoni at CB?

    And finally.....

Tarky is 20 and looks fantastic so far this season and I have been one of his doubters even wavering as to whether we kept him on in the summer!

Montano is also 20 - i think many forget just how young some players are when they look in some games as though they have been playing for years.

He has been awesome this season and his injury has knocked him back, just as Dayton is also starting to find some rhythm.

Monty is a player who needs to get into a game as it wears on as opposed to being at it from the off when he comes on as sub, takes him time to get into the pace of things.

He will be a great player for us this season and I hope we can extend beyond the extra year option we have, still be 21 then and he is going to be a very good player, another one who should be going for £700k++ should be ever sell.

Keep behind the lad and bring his confidence back as with all of them - watching the game on TV and even at 2-0 down as silly as we were to give the goals away out of nothing, i felt entertained and not bothered by the scoreline, simply because we played that well.

They all gave their all and that's all we ask of them whatever happens in the season - promotion, relegation, whoever we have playing for us if they put in the effort at all times on a matchday then that's fine by all of us i'd say.

We've been horrendously unfortunate and also stupid in equal measure so far but not once have we been battered.

I maintain that Peterborough and Wolves aside no one else stands out as being as able as us to play proper football, as long as the players believe they can be successful they will be - their ability is not in question.

Keep behind them all and we will turn the corner - 2 wins and we are bang in it as is all that's needed every season in league one - 3 straight wins and it looks totally different again.

Awesome, awesome post. This all over

  2.

Scoring early makes the opposition completely change their tactics against us, forcing them onto full-on attack to try and get back into the game. Our football is built to murder those sort of sides. My worry is being able to grind those teams down and I feel it'll be less often than not.

That said, from what I've seen convinces me we should have enough to avoid going down this season. Those that think we'll be in the mix for promotion are on another planet in my opinion.

You reckon? I don't see why this side can't challenge for play offs, we just need to start scoring when on top (obvious I know but you see where im coming from). We're dominating all teams (bar 1) including Preston who are tipped for play offs and Peterborough, who are tipped for automatic promotion.

We proved on monday that we look a side WELL above a team who will struggle to stay up (based on the bookies and pundits)

  3. Hasn't Mills gone back to Burnley? Sure someone said it was his last game against Preston but seen nothing on the fficial - if not i'd say the same side as you however I'd have Rooney Mcdonald in the side, I think LJ will persist with rooney as well.

If mills HAS gone back, then the defence will/should be Lanzoni Tarky Kusunga and Grounds I reckon

  4. Agreed Pukka an early goal and I think we will win most games, look at shrewsbury, early goal from Danny P and we absolutely slaughtered them.

Im going for 3-1 Oldham on saturday, really think we'll be the side to end rotherhams unbeaten run at home (believe its 10-12 games).

We just need to score when on top and dont make any daft mistakes.

  5. Not to bring in any negativity, but it's pretty much just suddenly dawned on me after reading the PNE Fans forum that we have 4 losses in the first 6 games, all of which we've been the much better side except walsall. I've pretty much shadowed this stat due to our performances (and the shrewsbury result definitely helped).

How the piss has that happened haha? When we're playing like we are. Hopefully its not a trend for the season, I've been telling neutrals that once we click we'll start beating teams left right and centre I just hope i'm right!

For anyone who gives a toss as well, as of right now 525 sold for rotherham, 1500 tics on saturday to Roar us onto 3 points? (and not just a slick easy on the eye performance!)

  6. Did you ask how many we had sold?

It was my dad who went mate this morning he's working from home today (that old one!) but I did ask him but he'd already got them by then.

I know a lad who works in the ticket office who just said today we've not sold many but preston are expecting us to bring a lot more than the tickets sold, with people paying on the day.

  7. Anyone have any idea how many we've sold for Preston? Not sure whether most will just pay on the day, I've text my mate who's picking up his preston/rotherham tickets later on and told him to ask how many we've sold for people interested in that so I'll let you all know later on
