Re Tommy Wright - he was our coach under Shez and left at the end of the season when Dangerous Dave Penney took over, presumably because he did not fit within DP's plans and it was not his choice. So, as a coach, the club has got rid of him and now he's left of his own accord. In this fickle world of football, he's done nothing wrong.

Really appreciate the comments Stevie, and we shouldn't have 1, 5 or 25 minutes off air, we will do our very best to address this for Saturday.

I would just like to clarify that I don't believe the young man that walked past the front of our wires etc (can't believe I used the word urchin last night, don't know why that word came into my head but no offence was intended) was seemingly nothing to do with our disconnecting. I heard a click twice and twice we were off. Quickly confirmed by Bob and others, we dialled straight back in. I think we were off air for a total of 5 minutes but sorry if your experience was different to that. We couldn't see any other reason for being disconnected.

We had issues last year and sorted them out. I will stick up for Roy here and say that he's at the ground very early setting everything up and runs tests locally very early to ensure everything is running smoothly. As you know and as has been mentioned in previous threads I'm a volunteer so don't speak on behalf of the club but if this persists, we'll sort it out again ASAP.

It's been mentioned before on here, and certainly the Chron I think but Wilbraham's in-laws are from Royton and his father-in-law is a Latics fan - the Buckley family - so maybe there's more (very slim) chance of him coming here than most other strikers with a chance of getting to the Premier League.

Fred was a great character who I had the pleasure of accompanying to a few away trips, and he had some very funny stories to tell. I only spoke to him at half-time at the Swindon game when he called to say that we better pull our fingers out as Scunthorpe were winning, so it was a big shock reading that today.

Some of these moments are there for a split second but, for us like-minded Latics lovers, cannot be reproduced by anything else and stay with you a lifetime. Without TTA and Simon Corney, they would never have happened.

Yes it's mainly dross inbetween but for a League One Club with limited resources, a dwindling fan base and the top two league clubs on our doorstep, it's more than I expect.

Of course we all want more, want overall progression on and off the pitch, but imagine for a moment what life would have been like if TTA hadn't taken the club over - and then delete the above list.

I think we were poor yesterday but the best chance of getting anything against a solid defence like that is from a set piece. The referee blatantly denied us that. I'm also glad to see roy and my biased opinion was backed up on the two threads about this!

The more I see Gibson's handball the more I see he moves his arm onto the ball (even if he was trying to get it out of the way) - very harsh to not give that and then give handball against Brown IMO.

I am massively excited but also trying to be realistic about it. We are on the telly, another sell-out (hopefully) and if we can stay in the game long enough it'll be another brilliant atmosphere. Not particularly optimistic about the result but excited about the occasion.

I've checked with the suppliers and with Gordon, and unfortunately no recording of Roy's and my, ahem, excitable commentary exists. We've said it before about PD pulling it out of the fire when all hope of success, and his managerial future, seem lost. Yesterday was the mother of all that!

But the relationship between PD and SC does seem to be extremely open (not in that way!) and now very, very public. PD could have spat his dummy out after the backroom staff left, but he just got on with it. SC seems to be saying it like it is. Maybe it's better that way than the boardroom whisperings you hear from every other club.
