Is that the millions the council owed Blitz then or some separate millions.
Forgive the ignorance but why did the council owe Blitz?!

Agreed, however from a financial perspective and sustainability and dare I say the opportunity to have a little success will always be extremely limited if we can't generate income except for 23 days a year. Imagine having a business with expenses 365 days a year but only having 23 days a year to bring income in? It would be ok if we were renting the ground from say the council but operated the whole thing 7 days a week allowing the club generate other income streams.
Yep exactly - think we have between us answered the question of whittles left foot who asked why it's a priority to buy the ground!
I see people talking about finding a new ground, but how would this actually pan out in terms of attendances, club identity, etc etc. Obviously lots of other clubs have done it but for me buying back BP is the only option and moving elsewhere should be an absolute last resort.
Is it correct that the council contributed to the north stand, but as the club owed Blitz he's now taken over ownership of it? Unbelievable that the council would knowingly allow that to happen...

That's literally the case now. Let's not pretend we have our own ground now and one of the major reasons that suitable buyers are not lining up to buy the club.
I get your point but surely the difference there, and the point he's making, is that at least this is "our" rented ground and not sharing with another club. Would be a lot more dire if it was a team of our shit players with our badge on but playing at spotland every other week...

It’s looking like it’s back to using the Boundary Park potato field as the 12th man. Utilising it’s furrows and swamps and getting the ball to the big man up front.
I ever-so-slightly hate myself for it.. but I really enjoyed yesterday.
Found this yesterday, bit technical but an indication of the difficulties. From last pre-season, would be interesting to get an update on how they're dealing with the pitch at the minute!

Me too if possible, cheers

But when was the last time we saw a decent game of football on it though. The upturn in results for the last two seasons is probably more to do with employing a manager who knows what he's doing.
I thought Coventry was a pretty decent game

Mother bumped into Millwall team at village hotel in Ashton. Obviously expecting it to be on

Gareth, I'm in Bournemouth. At least for the time being. Send us a PM - hoping to get to Swindon if you fancy joining on the train? Cheers.

alternative final line....
This is how it feels when the boys in blue have the ball?

I remember him and his mum from primary school, I was a few years ahead of him but she was a teaching assistant at the time. Used to see him at most away games too, very sad and I hope all goes well on the 31st. Would be there if I could make it.

I reckon they should interview Connor brown every week

Could be a case of media hysteria but worth consideration?

Forte and pomeon up front?

Martin keown just walked past the train I'm on at oxford station

They cant win either way given our support is littered with moaning bastards
Pretty much agree with this. They proposed a move, clearly realised that many were against it and rather than risk upsetting said supporters made it voluntary but asked nicely. I don't really see the big deal in obliging them one game especially as they are making an effort with serving beer.
Can't win really can they? Wonder how many will actually move on Saturday.

Heard it on the train as well as twitter. Four times by a Liverpool fan apparently, anything official?
-
Thanks but got in touch and he is sorted so looking for someone else ticketless! Cheers though

Spare ticket for block 127 row 16 is available if anyone needs one. Can meet at lime street at 1pm tomorrow for collection. Any takers?
-
Off topic but due to someone having to now work I have a spare ticket if anyone is interested or knows anyone interested

Other than the "David Philliskirk", "Chris Winchester" and "Daniel Mellor" slip ups which made them sound a bit stupid at times, it's not hard to read a team sheet correctly. Agree with you though about the anchor and PD, thought they were decent
-
I think the cautions JCH has been getting for going down easily in recent games stopped him reacting as much to challenges last night, definitely that penalty shout in the first half where their defender slid in, took him out and got the ball with his arm
-
Have to agree.I thought "Chris" had a great game
I laughed at that too

To be fair I thought Warnock and the other commentators were surprisingly good. Warnock sounded like he wanted us to win. He was quite scathing of the referee's performance as well as Mansfield's bully boy tactics.
Not sure why BT Sport is getting the bad press it is at the moment. Decent commentators, I quite liked Clem doing his Clem thing. I liked Dickov holding the brolly up for the 20 year old anchorman/boy. I even liked the little camera insets which appears when play was carrying on but a player was down or something. Getting an insight into their centre half having a hissy fit as he walked down the tunnel was gold.
Think I agree with all of this! Thought Warnock was the best pundit I've heard in ages, whether that was because he was slightly biased I don't know (or care) but he seemed dead on to me!

Yes...no nonsense defending as mentioned before plus the odd goal or two can contribute when we're not bagging every chance we get
