Exactly.  They get critized by the manager, abuse yelled at them by the fans and then we wonder why they aren't motivated.  Micky Mellon is the one who needs to sort his act out.

These players are being paid to do a job which they aren't doing. In any other job you'd be sacked. Not expecting every player to be a Messi but they are professionals and with the great following the fans are giving they should at least be putting the effort in and should be able to occassionally pass a ball 6yds to one of their team members. I can't believe that after kicking a football since being able to walk they still can't pass a ball.

At least Norwood puts the effort in. Other teams seem to really try against us yet we let teams play through us and seem to lack effort and desire. Clearly M.M is bemused as well. Hudson in his interview said the players were all up for it but clearly not. Where is their pride. Nuttall is a prime example of the lack of pride and ambition most our players seem to be exhibiting. We are so close to playoff place.yet the lethargic play is worrying.Tuesday will be interesting. The effort and desire should be there every match and not just occassionally.I really believe long contracts should be avoided but then again players agents are earning money off us so it's not easy. Still believe M.M will sort this lot out. Sooner the better though.

    I can't stand Bolton Wanderers.

Might have something to do with watching what still seems likes hours of Allardyce and Jones passing the ball between themselves and the goalie, in the seventies and eighties, to waste time. (Thank goodness they changed the rules.)

Also made worse by that club running up debts of over 100 million quid, whilst building a smashing ground, then appearing to get most of that written off.

Perhaps I am just jealous, really.

Yes Bolton tried for years to get into 1st division but despite bigger crowds than  us we beat them to promotion thanks to Joe.

After that more recently they created massive debts and thought they could buy their way up.

They always brought a big following to BP and I was almost beaten up once walking up sheepfoot Lane, in the days of cronbie boys.

Stoke had some viscious hooligans as well.Glad things have changed.Do the Glodwick boot boys still exist??Happy days.

11 games to go and there is plenty of rotation in the midfield- (barring Sheron- just saying 😂) we bypass them at home, and if they do get the ball they’re all hopeless in possession. Away from home they have a footballing transplant and suddenly look better players.

    So. . .

Who is your midfield 3 for the run in?

What role should they be given.

Are you playing a settled 3 (barring injury) or do you keep rotating?

    Owe us??? 😂

Two loses in ten before tonight, not lost in the previous 8 games away from home. Just carried on their outstanding away form.

I know it’s shite to watch at home, but I’ll keep saying it, the bigger picture  was and is good.

If we don’t win again at home this season, but finish in the Playoffs, I honestly can’t understand why anyone would care?

It's not the winning it's the performances. If we play well and we lose the odd one fair enough but we need to see regular good performances otherwise a playoff place will be  disappointing. I've seen us lose matches in the playoffs before with good teams and players.

Play like we did on Saturday and we can start mourning now. If we can learn from the remains matches promotion will be ours. Fingers 🤞 crossed.

We’ve had it in the past. People furious that we won the passing but not the game.

Yes but when you don't or can't pass and loose as well .?what's left?

I'd rather we passed and lost or didn't pass and won. But really I'd prefer passing and winning. At present home games are awful to watch and results are bad.Still think Mellon will come good but for Christ sakes we desperately need a hard working creative midfielder and not an old centre forward.

Agree that they‘ve let people down there today, and MM and the players deserve whats coming their way, but to say he should be sacked is nonsense.
Regardless of league position that squad needs a major overhaul, especially in Midfield. Conlon was good on debut and last Saturday, but has largely been awful in the other games. Hammond has looked good in 1 game and a raffle winner the rest. Sheron is hit and miss, absolutely woeful today and Lundstram has been a disaster of a signing and needs replacing. We simply don’t have any midfielder on the books who can create and dominate a game, and it’s been that way for years.

Er what about Atherton as B.P has suggested. If he can be M.O.M against M.U under 21 then surely he would be as least as good as lundstram if not better. Use what we have and give our current so called midfield a kick up the arse.

Yeah I saw that too. Got shot down quickly. Some fuck wits follow this club.

This was the quote I saw:

”So I had a thought and although it’s really great that there trying to pack out the ground for Frank for the home game to Kidderminster selling £1 tickets, what are we as season ticket holders gaining from this? We have already paid for our tickets when we bought our season tickets so really we’re loosing out there aren’t we?”

Just read all these posts. Are you saying I can't use my season ticket to go? I'm disabled and can't get to the ground to buy a ticket. Can I have my ticket posted? If so the ticket value will be £1 minus postage cost !!

Pay on the day would be OK.If I could drive I would happily pay a quid before the game( on top of the several lots of donations I've  already made to Frank.)

Why is the club so inept at organising ticketing arrangements? Missed out on Rochdale ticket this year despite being a season ticket holder.

Don't know what the hell is wrong, but something will probably rear its ugly head very soon to tell us.

The team look to have no style of play, and no match day plan of how to attack and make the other team defend.

We have no idea of how to apply pressure to other defences. Plus our transition from defence to attack is non existent.

We have an unhealthy knack of making EVERY team we play look good. Not sure how this is going to pan out, but it won't be good.

Are you D.U? Nothing has changed except half our squad. As someone on twitter said on today's showing the difference between Mellon and Unsy is that Mellon has so far been luckier. Hate to say it but have to aggree. Will Mellon be lucky enough to get us promoted? Because the football is almost as bad as under D.U.I hope so.

If we aren’t playing him and have no intention to do so then we might as well do a deal. If a club is willing to pay him £800 a week we knock the equivalent £800 a week off his settlement. Or we do a loan deal until the end of next season and continue paying his salary less £800?

We would take a huge hit but still be saving £50k over the 17 months left on his contract.

If we offer him a lump sum he might take a little less which would effectively save us more and surely It would be better than him sitting on his arse here for 17 months and being generally a ‘bad egg’ around the place?

If I was Mellon and knew I wanted rid of Nuttall and there was no way back for him,I would tell him to turn up for training at 9 or10am each morning.I would then tell him ro run around rhe pitch once and then I would say right fuck off now, you can go home, same time tomorrow please. He would have used money on petrol and would soon get sick of having to come in everyday. He might then agree to go out on loan. Someone like Curzon Ashton might have him. They probably wouldn't be able to pay any of his wages but if he started scoring goals for them then someone else might take a chance on him and we could get rid. Currently we are paying his wage for no return and whose gonna sign him unless they see him playing. I still can't believe the naivity of the club. Nuttall on massive wage for no effort and Unsworth given 3 year contract with no previous experience.

Everybody these days have to have work appraisals but clearly football players and managers are exempt.

Football is a joke.No wonder so many clubs go tips up.
