I agree with the Barnsley comment......In 2 weeks they went after Swindon boss, agreed a deal with Di Canio but pulled out and then went for LJ and in 4 weeks are closing in on a playoff spot.....

I have told this story before on here.

Dowie has sat next to me on 2 flights to London in the past 12 months.

He was offered the job when LJ got it and he turned it down for 1 reason, SC offered him a 10 game deal, Dowie said he was not prepared to give up a lucrative sky deal for 10 games, the money SC offered was acceptable just thought it was too bigger risk for him and his family.

He said he wants to be a football manager and if anyone offers him 18months on a fair deal he will jump at it.

So many on here have been saying he is past it and or not good enough considering who else we have....

He is the most underrated player in our squad. He is a total rock, 9 months out and returns with a clean sheet, on the back of what he did last season this lad should be the 1st name on the team sheet.

All the other centre halves make mistakes, show a lack of experience in their decision making, locky does not.

he is class, his shot stopping is 2nd to non. Every top keeper has a bad game where everything goes wrong. Im glad it happened on Saturday against Preston as it was a game which we had little chance of winning due to injuries.

Tarky give you that but he wasn't a newbie coming into the team, had 20/30 appearances before LJ came along. Winchester again had 30 appearances before LJ turned up.

I am talking about the lad who will play every week in 2016/2017 who gets 5 games this season, 15 games next season. There isn't any pipeline at all

As most of you know I though LJ was an average manager but an excellent PR machine but something everyone has missed including myself until last night....

How many youth team players or graduates (under 20) have started a first team game in the league this season?

In LJs 23 months with the club how many youth team players or graduates (under 20) have started a first team game in the league.

Question 3?

Does our lack of reserve team football obstruct youth players progressing into the first team?

Considering the huge success TP has had in the past 10 years I find it astonishing our youth team development has ground to a halt over LJs reign.

The only positive is Carl Winchester but he has been around the 1st team for 3 or 4 seasons and has always been technically very gifted.

Peoples thoughts on this?

People need to realise what we are, we are not a huge club compared to dale. He is settled doing well and been bitten by moving on. He will also be on a decent % of his players transfer profit which will pocket him decent cash every season.

At dale he has a young side that produces season after season why would he make a sideways move?

he is poor, against Barnsley everything broke down with him and he is weak on the ball and in the tackle.

for me he hasn't done enough to start every week. I would prefer to see Winchester at the tip of the diamond, more creative better finisher and better running with the ball.

well said. On tape he clearly states he tried to get a card for money, just because there is no criminal case doesn't mean the club cant view this as gross misconduct.

In any work environment if you try and damage a deal, a service, a client relationship, delivery poor performace etc on purpose this can be described as gross misconduct. The fact this is on video makes a nailed on case for OAFC.

He is jumping on the back of other players who have carried out interviews and received positive feedback. None of them were caught on camera!

The PFA should hold an investigation and ban him for life!
