A song which i've always wanted 2 hear with the help of that drum is-
'COME ON OLDHAM!' BOOM! BOOM! ' 'COME ON OLDHAM!' BOOM! BOOM! The beat of the drum would be used to encourage people to clap along. It's a type of chant which could be sung when nothings actually happening just to keep the atmosphere going. I've got copyrights on that song by the way!
I think the best songs are the songs which you can sing p**sed out your head, such as 'Oh When The Blues' etc.

he will cost next to nothing money wise.....think muzza'll be glad to have a deal somewhere, so his wages will be next to nowt.
potentially a decent signing and even if his role is bit part, if it helps us get into playoffs, its gotta be a good thing.

So it's all guess work then that leads you to proclaim him a legend (I assume thats what you think he is?)? Stats are funny things, you look at it as him scoring 1 every other game while if you put his games side by side Soccerbase you'll see that the hattrick masks a very erratic series of games where he nearly matched his goals record by the number of yellows he picked up, but I guess that just shows he has passion right?
Hughes contribution this season doesn't even come close to what Ruben, Allott and Davies have given us.
Yawn, yawn, yawn.
You were against the guy siging for the club. So you haven't exactly give him a chance have you.
I think besides from you and Derek Wilson, Lee Hughes is concidered the fans favourite (and rightly so)
HUGHESY! HUGHESY! HUGHESY!

I lot of the pubs in the center are 'HOME FANS ONLY' pubs (as the signs in the windows say)

did anyone else hear the rumour that the reason why Mick Wadsworth was sacked was because he found discussing the current market price of Venezualan crude oil with Danny Boshall?

WALES' WALES' No 1, WALES' No 1, WALES' WALES' No 1!!!
its the meeting of the keepers union is it?!

From a personal point of view I'd rather give the home matches a miss and save my money for days out, such as Vale in a few weeks.
I'm impressed at Bradford's attendances. 13 K to watch that them play mid-table 4th divison football, fair play to them.

I dont know about that Garcon , he was pretty gash at the beginning of the season , suffering from "White line fever".
so you're saying that he comes off his line now - cos its pretty clear that he's a shot stopper and that's about it. i for one would defo like to see someone else in net, someone who has some agility (which goalkeeping is all about) and someone who actually commands the area, coming for crosses and giving the centre backs some confidence that if they fail to win a header in the box, that the keeper is actually there. I actually think that our decent defensive record is more to do with the centre pairing, whether that be hazell, stam or previously trotman, all of which are good in the air and can cope with balls pumped into the box.
i know this is the "mark crossley appreciation thread"....but I unfortunately can't share the same opinion as the previous thread posters.

Open Question -
If you saw a Latics fan getting beaten up by opposition supporters, would you help them?
Personally, I would be disgusted if anyone didn't.
What people have to accept, we don't live in a fairytail land and incidents like this will happen.
I think the lesson to be learnt is that the policing should of been better outside the ground. With Huddersfield having a better escort to the town center.

well Blackpool did put an offer in for Taylor and that is FACT. Oldham turned the offer down but didn't entirely turn down the proposal of selling him completely, it was just the fee didnt reach Oldham expectation....only time will tell to see if they up the offer - but only a couple of hours to go.

end of the day, it's part of football and will never go away.
if people don't want to get caught up in it all with there kids, don't take them. Simple.

Get rid of Taylor, Davies, Smalley (please), Woolfy, Crossley, JP, and perhaps MaCdonald. And can we have a coach? Why bother to have a new stadium? It has been so plain. What a load of rubbish.
was Smalley not one of the better players on Saturday. Played better than Davies for me.

i for one never saw kilkenny play out wide when he was with us last time. kilkenny played in the middle and for one away game (can't remember against who), talbot played one up front with kilkenny playing a very attacking midfield role (after kilkenny telling talbot this was his favourite position). although i'm not a fan of liddell, i think based on the current squad, he has to start as he adds natural balance to the team. its gonna be 4-4-2, with taylor and liddell on the flanks and the midfield pairing being either kalala or allot with kilkenny. if i had to pick one who'll play, i'll go for allot - simply for the factg that we paid a fee for him.
i can see this argument kicking off with the strikers in a couple of weeks....who's the front two gonna be when hughes is released?

cheers!

Best away match you've been to?
Recently, the 3-0 against Huddersfield was good. I dare say that this will be superceded by the 4-0 win at Elland Road on New Years Day!

it's easy to look good wgen the team as a whole ishaving a good day...its important to remember the times when he goes missing, doesn't put a tackle in and does little else other than point his hands in random directions.
still a quality crosser of the ball though...
