Does anyone remember the name of the teenage ‘French lad’ striker we signed, likely ex Auxerre youth player, a few years back? He never played a game for us and I assume he was the lad mentioned by Anthony Gerrard when he said he roughed up a new signing in training as he was certain he’d never played football professionally.
I've tried searching online and can’t find any mention of him anywhere. Think his name suggested he was Tunisian by heritage.

Tom Hamer seems to be in demand.
Criminal use of the word ‘ironically’ in this article. Pleased to see Hamer do well though.

Liandro Martis. Left our trial for a trial at Man U. From there managed to blag 3 years at Leicester and then a year at Macclesfield (don’t think he played for either). Wikipedia said he now plays in Bulgaria.

DKD has been our best player over the last two seasons with two poor squads around him. He reached double figures from midfield in two seasons, despite being played as a lone striker at times last year. Whenever he ‘went missing’ it was representative of an issue throughout the team. Disappointed he’s gone but he deserves his chance in a higher division with consistent coaching and a more stable environment.

Cisse signs for Ebbsfleet Town

Weird career Simpson. We loaned him to Leicester for some reason and he later ended up at Watford having not played much at Accrington.

Seems David Wheater is on his way to Darlington according to his Instagram posts. Perhaps he’s only training with them?

Nah, he’s from south london, English lad. His parents were at his debut for us.

Remember Poleon having a good game in a high scoring draw against Gillingham away once, always got in decent positions, lightning quick but couldn’t finish.

Former loan keeper Gregor Zabret signs for Aberystwyth Town after some time away from the game it seems.

I shit you not, Sonny Sefil has only conned another club into believing he can kick a ball. looks like he’s won something too!

Kirk Millar bagged 2 for Linfield tonight in Europa League qualification.
Cannot believe that he is only 27.
Remember the end of the 2012/13 season V Orient, he’d recently scored for us and most of our lot were chanting that he ‘used to shite but now he’s alright’. Always had the brightest coloured boots in the squad as well.

I think Clegg does a bit of PE supply teaching on the side. Must have spent all those millions he made at Old Trafford.

Surely any quality management candidates will steer clear of a position with us. High chance of being sacked in the short term and I doubt the financial rewards justify any of the risk. We’re run like Palermo or Genoa in Italy but at least their three managers a season get decent pay offs.

I was surprised when he hired Bunn. I presumed he was keen to bring in someone from the continent he may be more familiar with. Bunn and Rhodes sounded far too sensible.
-
Anyone know any reason for his contract termination? What is actually going on here?

It’s well documented that Bunn wanted Jack back out on the pitch. Why didn’t he stand up to the chairman on this one? He should’ve demanded that if Jack is sold his wages will be reinvested into the playing squad after the mass of cuts this summer. If you really loved our club and the fans you’d have shown some backbone. Fucking coward.
Lemsagam and Bunn want to pray that Baxter doesn’t get injured this season. As soon as he does we’ll be seriously lacking in creativity and it’s going to turn toxic very quickly with the style of football we are playing. You reap what you sow.
Maybe Bunn didn’t want it enough at the expense of his current squad, imminent loan signing, relationship with chairman.
It’s hard to see what Byrne would have done pre season with the youth team to justify Bunn risking his wider aims as manager.
-
There appears to be a decent collective spirit amongst the current starting XI and i am always reminded of Byrne’s arsey celebrations at the end of last season, gesturing towards Wellens after scoring in response to starting on the bench or being played out of position. He’s a talent, but he was inconsistent last season. If anything, Bunn has created a hard working and happy team and I doubt very much of Byrne would have fitted into that.

I am still confused as to how Marc Tierney went on to play a number of games for Norwich in the Premier League.

Being a little too young for the Prem years. Probably the two cup games against Liverpool and Everton 6 years back. In the league, when we played Carlisle and it was £2 in. People were sat on the steps from
what I recall. Although both games were probably full of locals who supported Utd.
