  1. Does anyone remember the name of the teenage ‘French lad’ striker we signed, likely ex Auxerre youth player, a few years back? He never played a game for us and I assume he was the lad mentioned by Anthony Gerrard when he said he roughed up a new signing in training as he was certain he’d never played football professionally.

I've tried searching online and can’t find any mention of him anywhere. Think his name suggested he was Tunisian by heritage.

  2. DKD has been our best player over the last two seasons with two poor squads around him. He reached double figures from midfield in two seasons, despite being played as a lone striker at times last year. Whenever he ‘went missing’ it was representative of an issue throughout the team. Disappointed he’s gone but he deserves his chance in a higher division with consistent coaching and a more stable environment.

Kirk Millar bagged 2 for Linfield tonight in Europa League qualification.

Cannot believe that he is only 27.

Remember the end of the 2012/13 season V Orient, he’d recently scored for us and most of our lot were chanting that he ‘used to shite but now he’s alright’. Always had the brightest coloured boots in the squad as well.

  4. Surely any quality management candidates will steer clear of a position with us. High chance of being sacked in the short term and I doubt the financial rewards justify any of the risk. We’re run like Palermo or Genoa in Italy but at least their three managers a season get decent pay offs.

It’s well documented that Bunn wanted Jack back out on the pitch. Why didn’t he stand up to the chairman on this one? He should’ve demanded that if Jack is sold his wages will be reinvested into the playing squad after the mass of cuts this summer. If you really loved our club and the fans you’d have shown some backbone. Fucking coward.

Lemsagam and Bunn want to pray that Baxter doesn’t get injured this season. As soon as he does we’ll be seriously lacking in creativity and it’s going to turn toxic very quickly with the style of football we are playing. You reap what you sow.

Maybe Bunn didn’t want it enough at the expense of his current squad, imminent loan signing, relationship with chairman.

It’s hard to see what Byrne would have done pre season with the youth team to justify Bunn risking his wider aims as manager.

  6. There appears to be a decent collective spirit amongst the current starting XI and i am always reminded of Byrne’s arsey celebrations at the end of last season, gesturing towards Wellens after scoring in response to starting on the bench or being played out of position. He’s a talent,  but he was inconsistent last season. If anything, Bunn has created a hard working and happy team and I doubt very much of Byrne would have fitted into that.
