  1.

    Oxley

    Mellor Grounds Tarkowski Kasunga

    Dayton Wesolowski Smith Petrasso

    Harkins

    MacDonald

    Bench: Rachubka - Lockwood - Brown - Worrall - Philliskirk - Clarke-Harris - Rooney

Not going to lie, I found it very hard to pick a team as we have quite a lot of options. Leaving Philliskirk and JCH is a hard option, but i think that MacDonald is our best striker and one of the players with a better footballing brain, I think he'd link up better with Harkins, being able to better read his game and get onto his flick ons, rather than Philliskirk and JCH who tended to move into the wrong positions on Saturday.

Would like to Worrall given a run out if he's available, see what the hype is about.

yes that sounds great , just leave the 3 top goalscorers on the bench, absolutely barmy, think again, walsall will love that

on what basis??? People need to wake up, the Liverpool Rumour was bull:censored:. If a prem club came in your looking at £750k and if a championship club £500k plus. He is a defender, he hasnt scored 20 goals my xmas and or have 20 assits. People need to get real he is playing for a small club in League 1.

You have to put into consideration the financial position of our club which every other club will know. £500k is huge for us and everyone knows it.

If Tarky had left in the summer at the end of his contract, we offered him a deal so if he went elsewhere it would have gone to the tribunal, what would we have got for a 22 year old with 62 appearances??? £100k max

    Everyone needs to be realistic!

his contract is not up in the summer, get your facts right ffs,

  3. I know but I think the top 10 is a realistic aim for this season still the play offs are beyond us unless we do something utterly incredible. Best we shoot for the moon and miss rather than aim for the ground and hit.

our cant shoot and hit anything, we couldn.t get in the playoffs if we played 8 games more than eveybody else,

  4. He was running the match today from the start until he was substituted! It was a refreshing change to watch a player who could see and carry out the pass, granted though that the other players need to get onto his wavelength. Do you really want to watch 11 Wes's out there taking no responsibility?

nobody was running that game, the verdict is out on harkins for a while yet, or is he a legend already ? like baxter

  5. We played too deep in the first half and invited them to attack. Second half better when we played further up the pitch. Not one of JCH's best games although I thought he improved in the second half. If LJ trusted Rooney, he would have brought him on sooner. Impressed with Harkins - and we kept a clean sheet. Do think someone needs to do some work with our back five.

yes like get smith away from it, if he wants play behind our back four we should call him beckenbaur, if he plays 15 yds further up the pitch our back four would have someone to pass it to, instead he sits in making square and backwards passes that others can do,, thats why the centre m/.fielders don,t score often, they don,t get in the box often enough,

  6. Yes he's only 29 and doesn't look a day over 50

He looks ungainly at times but he's tough to get the ball off and as you rightly point out he's not a nateual athlete but like Baxter surround him with runners and he will be very effective. If I'm playing with a player like that my first thought would be find some space because if you are in the right position he will find you he's got good vision and technique. With the right players around him he will be effective

it would have been better to keep baxter than sign baxter "lite", :J said he could.nt find a place for baxter the goes and signs someone to play the same way as him, very strange

  7. Sorry in advance to those who are looking down the table rather than up, but we have three massive ganes coming up which will decide whether we are in for a push at the top 6 come the end of the season.

We are only 12 points off 6th and we have everyone now fit and Worrall to come into the team, we should certainly be able to or aim get on that 'run' of 3-4 straight wins that are needed if we are to challenge

    Next 3 games are

    Walsall A

    Port Vale A

    Peterborough H

These 3 teams are all in and around the top 10

I KNOW it's easier said than done, but IMO we have enough to get 7/9 or 9/9 from these games, certainly Pboro aren't all that as results recently have proved.

Should /\ materialise then that puts us on 34/35 points still with a game in and against MK Dongs at home, and takes the 'pressure' off needing a result against Wolves the following Tuesday.

With Rotherham to then play at Home next month, it would really set it up for an interesting last couple of months.

This team has the abiility, we now need to show what we are made of and go get those wins.

    LET'S BE POSITIVE!!

Blackpool have done it before from nowhere, and we aren't THAT far away.

    COYB

i.ll have some of what your drinking, 11 goals in 11 home games should bring you back to sanity,

  8. ----------------------Oxley---------------------

    ------Kusunga-----Tarky-----Grounds-----

    -----------------Smith-----Wes----------------

    -------------Philliskirk-----Harkins------------

    Petrasso-------------------------------Dayton

    ------------------------JCH----------------------

Worrall would be in was he not recovering from an injury and if Petrasso's loan isn't renewed (I hope it is - he's growing quickly, having been our best player recently) we may well see Worrall our winger on the opposite side to Dayton. Same goes for MacDonald's non-inclusion.

3 in defence combats this supposed negative home line-up and those defenders I've chosen are well capable especially with Wes and Smith to protect them. We went all-out attack away at Stevenage which got us the result, that was with Mellor horribly out of position at CB during LJ's experimental start, too. We can do the same at home.

    he,s never going to start with 3 at the back, he might change to it when we go behind {we always do {

  9. The most difficult one of the season to pick this i'd say.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's another player in tomorrow aswell.

I can see him starting Lockwood at CB & moving Grounds to LB or even starting Lockwood at LB.

Then again, Mellor played well at Liverpool and arguably deserves to keep his place.

Brown or Kusunga at RB? Or Lockwood?

I think Smith & Wesolowski are certain to start in CM but I think he'll start Harkins, so maybe one up front with Harkins behind him? Clarke Harris or Philliskirk to start though? I don't see MacDonald starting but you never know.

Worrall right, Petrasso left? Or will Dayton start?

    Oxley

    Kusunga

    Lockwood

    Tarkowski

    Grounds

    Dayton

    Smith

    Wesolowski

    Petrasso

    Harkins

    Clarke Harris

where,s the goals coming from ? doesn.t look much different to the brilliant footballing team that cant score that we have watched all season to me, i think worrall will figure
