  1. Agreed. Eardley gets unbelievable abuse for his distribution. Often he is the only one willing to take any responsibility. We move the ball far too slowly and take the safe option for too often. Lomax was shocking tonight and Eards must play at the weekend.

If Whits is fit he comes straight back with Lee on the right for me. Otherwise Lidds wide and Lee in the middle. I'm fed up of seeing the same players play every week but in different positions.

Surely Eaves/Chalmers/Brooke/Kilcourse could have learnt something sitting on the bench tonight?

  2. NO WAY was it a pen in my eyes - the guy for mk dons flicke it up right in front of gregan and as is the natural instinct gregan raised his arms to protect himself, there was a pause of about 5 secs after it when the ref wasnt going to give it but then the lino flagged!

Harsh harsh pen, justice was done with the save anyway!!

At the other end we would all be screaming for a pen.

Gregan is awesome at this level. If only he would put it in the stand more often, instead of show boating. Most of his yellows come from being a clever arse, getting caught out and pulling them down. Just glad it wasn't a second penno today for his card.

  3. They're a good side MK and will go far this season...they're a quality striker from a playoff outfit though I feel.

Best side I've seen this year I reckon...was on hols for Col U but other than that, in order of quality...

    1. MK

    2. Tranmere

    3. Millwall

    4. Leeds

    5. Cheltenham

Was impressed with the Dongs, but never felt they would score. Even at 1-0 we weren't hsnging on.

Excellent result and battling, even when not at our best. Games like that win promotion.

  4. To be fair though its not like we have all been religiously watching Calvin Zola week in week out since he has left us has it? A long shot i know but maybe the guy has actually developed as a footballer since we had him on loan!

Although his five goals a season suggest otherwise

If that isn't enough proof his lame efforts against us prove it for me. A massive gamble.

  5. Apart from Ratters, we've only paid a fee for Davies so far as I remember since TTA took over until just now. All the others have been young players who we can view as investments, as well as good players. They would rather just pay wages for players who already have the experience but will shell out for those who make good business sense. Sounds OK to me. I agree that we probably have enough youth now, but we have a fair bit of experience still as well. It was said that Shez needed to learn from his mistakes, I think we are seeing that already with 4 good signings by early June.

What we have lacked for a couple of years is some depth. Our first 11 has been good, but no back up. The new signings are starting to give us that. This year we have only taken two apprentices as full time pros (Bell and Black). Stephens and Lee make up for that. Young hungry players are the only way forward. One they are cheaper, two we can make a quid on them.

Think a couple of more experienced playeras still to follow, with things taking shape nicely. At this rate we may be able to fill the bench and Dux may win a game or two.

  6. Is it all too little too late though?

A few years ago, I thought Wolfy was destined for big things. Unfortunately though, when he's been presented with chances to impress over those past few years, he's consistently come up short.

I think he'll be off at the end of the season.

Not seen all of Wolfy's FOUR starts, but consistently failed seems very harsh.

It looks like he will be off at the end of the season, but I wish he had given him more of a chance. More of a goalscorer than Lewis, Smalley or Asdaman

  7. Don't know where you get your info but you're very anti-Haining and seem to have poor facts for this. Haining was offered a lesser contract than he was on before! The tactic used on Branston the season before....and Edwards and Rocastle this time....offer them less, so they won't accept and they'll leave. Haining was desperate to stay at the club and didn't want to play in Scotland at all. That's why less than a year earlier he bought a new house down here. Also with a new baby on the way he couldn't afford to accept the :censored: we offered him. And you wouldn't either so give the lad a :censored:ing break!

    Poor facts?

Rocastle had a year left on a two year contract when we allowed him to leave. How could we offer him less money?

Didn't hear any booing of Haining. Most wish him well/. Can imagine playing in Scotland working well for him and would not be surprised if he got a better move and a place in international squad

  8. Name?Richard Chesworth

    Location?Smithy Bridge

How Long Supporting the Tics?September 75. First game Hull City at home. It pissed it down but won 1-0. Crowd sung what a load of rubbish and I have been hooked ever since. Drifted away briefly under Sharp and Warnock due to living away

Best away match you've been to? A bit of a Jonah on away days. Beating City 2-1 with two headers by little Tommy was special. Losing 5-1 at Bradford in the cup was not.

All Time Greatest Player? So many. Groves, Wylde, Ward, Palmer, and Stitch

Biggest Rivals (in your eyes)?Sadly the Tramps these days (too long in the Division). Be good to see Leeds again and maybe City next year
