Arguably one of the centre backs - as Yardy has said all season, 3 right CBs is ridiculous squad planning - and Kitching, who's forgotten how to play football could be shifted. Sheron divides opinion, I'd get rid but is probably handy to have as a squad player to fill in.

Me neither. Once, a very, very, very long time ago, I was on a skiing holiday in Switzerland and one evening in a bar I met a bunch of Norwegians, and one of them was speaking his own language in exactly the same style that PlakkiLakki spoke. It was a bit like speaking with a Norwegian dolphin. Very strange, disorientating and entertaining all at the same time, but the weirdest thing was that I couldn't stop thinking that he was just like PlakkiLakki.

He did indeed. I think he's an example of a player who has been greatly improved by the current management team. Previous manager said that he couldn't manage 90 minutes, now he's doing it twice in a week. Previously he was a walking red card, now he still has all the passion but looks much less of a sending off risk.

Yes. What I'm saying is that great passes for great goals always have to allow for the recipient to move. This is not "walking football" and it's not netball. If all the players just ran to a new position and then stopped again every time possession changed then there would be a lot more successful passes, and it would all look rather strange. Of course there is some luck involved in making such a pass, as the intended recipient may move somewhere else, it's very dynamic, and of course there is almost always some deviation between where the ball was meant to go and where it ends up. However, if you don't have a go then you can't ever make a great pass. He had a go and it turned out it was a great pass. Thanks.

Absolutely that. He knew the ones he wanted and he wanted 4 of them, so that we should have 3 available even if one is injured / suspended.

There's no such thing as an effective pass to a team mate who's just stood there, completely static. Part of the skill of the pass is in anticipating and allowing for your team mate's movement. 

Missing Norwood, Dallas, Walker and Hope. Reid either injured or binned. Yet we did find a way to win. I think MM’s experience will get us out of here via the playoffs this season.

2 year contracts for Nuttall for who we paid a fee reported to be around £100k, Shelton, & Willoughby will have cost the club about £600k over the two years for absolutely zero return!!

 

Considering he chased Willoughby & Nuttall for a considerable amount of time shows that this  ‘past recruitment thing’ is absolutely not overblown….for a National League club that’s a colossal amount of money to have chucked down the drain!

And then there was the John Rooney fiasco.

MM has said that he’d like to play a midfield 2 once he has a pair that works, and he’s said that he wants more in wide areas. Would be lovely to see 2 wingers in there, like the old days of Holden and Adams!

I think we did that when we swapped DU for MM. Here's hoping anyway, the recruitment seems to be much better now, although of course it's very early days.

How ironic. DU was only 5 years and 33 signings away from being able to transition us to 4-3-3, yet we dumped him.
